Echo stretched her wings as she stood up and licked her muzzle as she finished her meal. She probably wouldn't be able to do border patrol for a while. So she stood up and went to watch over the Young ones like she was always told to do.

"Your not a friend. At least not to me." Baelfire said as he walked out of Lanthes den. He glanced at his father before heading into the forest away from Echo's territory. He was angry and wanted to be alone. Before he could get a whole foot into the forest, The pups came up gigling and laughing. "Will you play with us Bae?" They asked with their sweet little voices. He glanced at the females who would be juviniels after a couple more moons. they looked at him before whispering among themselves. He cocked his head at this before looking back at the pups. "Why not." He said getting in a playful bow.

"Alright, how about we play pounce on the deer?" Echo suggested to the young ones. "It would give you one more good practice in before your first real hunt"

The young ones nodded in agreement and started the game. It was a tradition in their pack, for a young one to have a successful first hunt to become a full member of the pack. Then from there, they could choose to be a guard, healer, or become a better hunter.

"Were playing packs so we can help protect our packs better." One of the little pups said.

"Don't you want to play hunters to practice for your hunting trip?" Bae asked the small pups.

Once pups reached one, they were taken hunting to see how it really works. A few would even get to make the kill once the animal was down. The pups got to choose for themselves at the age of two if they would like to become a full part of the pack or leave. If you chose to be a full member, there was a series of test to not only see if you would be a good pack member but to also see where you would best fit.

"Keep your tail down remember! and keep real real low" Echo said with a smile, as she showed the young ones how to fix their hunting crouch.
"Once I get to do my first hunt, I'm going to bring back a really big buck!" One said
"I want to bring back a bird for my first hunt!" Another young one said.
Echo chuckled "I'm sure you'll all bring back something, no matter what it is"

The pups got done choosing who would be animals and who would be the hunters. Bealfire watched correcting them on their postures and showing them how to hunt. Once the sun went down, all the pups went to bed. Bealfire started into the forest to do nightly patrol and to see Echo.

After all the young ones were asleep, Echo left the camp like she always did. She headed to the border, a little uneasy now after what happened the night before. Would Bealfire not be there? Would he be followed by his father again? She arrived at the border and looked around for him.

Baelfire had circled the border and was now padding up to the tree that was right on the border of the two packs. He looked around for echo before spotting her. He walked up to the base of the tree and sat down looking at her.

Echo went over to him and nuzzled him. "Did your father follow you again?" She asked, wondering if they were going to get tackled at some point in the night. "We might have to find a new spot to meet"

"I think my father is cool about it. Atleast for now" Baelfire said as he nuzzled her hello. "Come on lets get in the tree." He said spalying out his wings ready to take flight. He took to the air before softly landing on a branch and waiting for Echo to join hims. "So when do I get to meet your parents?" He asked once she was up in the tree as well.
