"Come on Bae, let's head up into the tree" Echo opened her wings and flew up onto a tree branch. She didn't want to make Lanthe feel left out by sitting in the trees while he was there. "We can hide better"

Baelfire followed Echo up into the tree. he bounded around it hoping from branch to branch.

Lanthe entered the main part of the pack. The alpha was already there waiting. "Well?" He asked Lanthe.

"A she wolf from the other pack. She's like him." Lanthe reported.

Echo then sat down on a branch with Baelfire and leaned on him a little. She felt so relaxed around him, she also hoped they could have more nights like this. "Hey, Bae...I know this question is kinda early to ask but...when do you think it's right to tell our packs about us meeting together?"

"Once my dad is dead." Baelfire joked. "I don't know. My dad won't like it." He sighed wishing he could stand up to his father. He's going to have to one day.

"By the two borders I'm guessing." The alpha said.

"Yes sir." Lanthe hated betraying his friend but it had to be done.

The alpha took off towards the border looking for his son. "That kid is going to get himself into some serious trouble one day."

"For me, it would be until my parents stopped being protective and paranoid" Echo chuckled "But not sure if that will happen though" She nuzzled him.

Baelfire smiled. "I think we should tell my dad first." Baelfire whispered. He rested his head on top of hers. A slight smile started to appear.

The alpha, Lyric, burst through the trees and was now on the border. He looked around. "Baelfire! Let's go now!" He called.

Baelfire jumped. "Speak of the devil and he shows up. What do you think? Should he meet you now?"

Echo was calm for a few moments as he put her head ontop of hers, she jumped when the Alpha came out of nowhere. "Only if you think he won't try and kidnap me... No one else but my pack, you, and Lanthe know about my wings"

"I wont let him." Baelfire promise as he carefully started to pick his way down the tree. At the last branch, he jumped to the ground and landed softly on the pads of his paws. He looked at his dad who had watched his slow movements.

Lyric looked at his son. He kept a stern face as he wondered where the female was, probably gone.

Baelfire straightened up all the way as he approached his dad. "Dad there is someone I would like you to meet." His heart started racing as he watched his dad's face which kept its stone hard look.

Echo hesitated for a few moments before slowly heading down the tree. She hesitated on the last branch, took a deep breath and then landed softly on the ground behind Baelfire. Echo found it safe to be behind him then right next to him at the moment.

"Dad this is Echo. She is from the other pack." Baelfire explained. He glanced behind himself before looking back at his dad who's expression still hadnt wavered.

Lyric sighed. "Let's go. It's getting late and you should be out here with the enemy." He growled

"She's not the enemy dad. You are." Baelfire took a step back away from his dad. He then went riged expecting his dad to pounce.
