Baelfire climbed to his feet and left the den. He padded to the water and lapped some up. He was nervous and wanted to talk to someone but no longer had a best friend. He started to the group of pups being watched by an older female. She looked tired so he sent her to get more rest while he watched the pups. Today would be their tests to see what they start training for.

The pups were playing around with each other practicing before the tests. Some wanted to be hunters, others wanted to be guards, a one or two thought about being a healer.

Echo sat down in the clearing watching the clouds, thankfully it wasn't her day to watch the pups. As some of them had gone on their first hunt to become full members of the pack.

Baelfire watched them he looked up to see the group of now two year old females that always watched him and giggled. They nudged another smaller member of a group forward. "Hi Baelfire" she said shyly as she looked down and blushed. "Hello. Shouldn't you be training for the position you want?" He asked her

The she-wolf looked up at Baelfire "Yes," She said quietly. "I'm...hoping to be a hunter," The she-wolf said, looking back at her friends wondering if she could go back over to them.

Bealfire smiled sweetly. "Well good luck to you." He said and nodded, not minding if she left. The female turned and padded back to her group of friends. They all started to whisper and giggle. He watched the sky wanting the day to be over already.

Time passed and the next time Bealfire looked at the sky, he saw that was the afternoon. Which meant it was time to meet Echo's parents.

"Mom, Dad, I have something to show you in the forest," Echo said once the sun had risen to its peak.

"Both of yes dear?" Her Mother asked.

Echo nodded "Yeah, it's really important" It would be life-changing for them to find out she was in love with Baelfire.

"Alright then let's go," Her father said as they got up and left camp.

Bselfire jumped and half ran, half flew to the boarder where he sat waiting with his wings folded neatly where they almost blend into his coat making it hard to tell. He patiently waited for Echo to arrive. He was excited and nervous at the same time.

Echo had her parents wait a little bit away from the meeting spot. "Stay here, I just need to make sure everything is in order. She said and disappeared into the bushes. She was relieved to see Baelfire and went over and nuzzled him, "I brought my parents...like I said I would"

"You sure about this?" Bae asked. His heart was pounding hard in his chest as he nuzled her back. He looked at echo and licked her cheek. "What if they don't like me?" He said in an almost whisper.

"I'm still not sure, but they're going to find eventually. Especially when things start to get really serious between us" Echo said and hugged him with her wings. "my parents will be shocked to say the least"
