Jack hid the hologram displayer though it still did its duty of making animals swim around the room. This was because his father might get angry and he didn't want him destroying the expensive thing. He walked quietly to the kitchen, pulling out oatmeal and waited for it to heat itself, which it did in 1.05 minutes exact.

Kiache awoke, and a surprised and happy gasp escaped her in a flurry of bubbles. Her fingers pressed against the glass, and her eyes danced as she looked at her friends.

Jack finished the food and drank another cup of coffee before throwing away his items which disintegrated into ashes as soon as they touched the bottom of the trash can. He pushed the button on his headphones and they slid back to their place on his ears. As he passed through the living room, he stopped at the doorway. Kiache's smiling face making the slightest change in the corners of his lips.

It reminded her of home. She spotted Jack, and nodded at him. It must have been him. No one else was nice and would do that for her. She did a small spin in the tank, and hummed to herself.

Jack appeared happy with Kiache's reaction but no smile appeared on his face. That is of course, till Liam's voice echoed down the hall. Jack's happiness disappeared in a flash and he spoke quietly to his bracelet. Almost immediately the noises stopped and the fish were gone. "Jack, where are you?" Jack replied with a soft huff. His led Liam straight to him. "Ahh here you are Jack. I just wanted to let you know that your free time starts in 30 minutes. Until then, keep your dirty hands where they are supposed to be, understand?" Jack glared at Liam and then gave a single nod of his head.

Kiache cowered away from Owner. He was terrifying. She liked Jack. Owner, Devil Lady, and Brat were all mean. Before she knew his name, Jack was, "Silence," or, "Cold," both for his personality and aura.

Liam looked at his son with a distasteful look on his face. The room's temperature dropping a bit. "So bra-I mean Blessing isn't coming with me right?" Jack asked boldly, not at all scared at his father, just angry. "No, I wouldn't disrespect your mothers wishes like that. And refrain from calling your sister anything other than Blessing or sister. You should respect her more, you might actually get along one day." Jack sneered, "not a chance Liam." The older man glared at his son one last time and his cold gaze skimmed over the mermaid in the tank before he left the room.

Kiache shivered. If that man ever looked at her again, it would be too soon. She looked over at Jack, then quickly swam away. She hurried along the tubes, relighting some fires, though mostly she just wanted to hide away.

Jack's light grey eyes turned dark as he spun back to his room. Closing the door behind him, he turned on the lights with a wave of his hand and sat down on his bed rubbing his forehead as a headache appeared.

Kiache sat in the area where she and Jack talked last time. She fiddled with a piece of coral, the sharp corners cutting into her palms.
