At that moment, Jack hurt for Kiache. His kind was horrible, to take mers away from their own families just to use them as slaves. Families that needed each other, like Kiache's. Families that actually cared about each other, unlike so, so many human families. Like his own family. "I'm sorry we stole you from your home, I know that's not nearly enough but hopefully one day I'll be able to get all the Mers out of human homes and back into the oceans."

Strong Mer don't cryStrong Mer don't cry Kiache felt tears slipping down her cheeks. It's been so long since someone cared. "Thanks to you. It's been long... thank you. And it means much. So very much."

Immediately, Jack felt bad, he had made her cry. "Oh, I hadn't meant for you to cry. I'm sorry, but I meant what i said. I really want you and your people to be free again. I didn't mean to make you cry." For once, Jack looked positively confused, he hadn't a single idea of what to say.

"O-oh, that's good then I think. It's good that you're happy, somebody in this house should be." An almost smile appeared on his wary face but it quickly disappeared. Jack wasn't exactly happy, he hadn't truly been in s long time. But he was glad he had been able to make someone else happy.

Kiache knew happy was a stretch, but she simply nodded and smiled, though it was sad, strange, and foreign. "Soon," Kiache promised, her smile disappearing and a strange emotion on her face, "Soon."

The real question was what in the world did that mean. A slightly puzzled expression placed itself on Jack's pale face. "O-okay?" He said quietly, his grey eyes resting on the mer in front of him.

Kiache offered no explanation, and just nodded, "You want to go to Unknown place, yes? Time has passed, should go?" Kiache didn't want him to leave, but she would not say that.

Jack looked at Kiache with a conflicted gaze. Of course he wanted to stay and talk but The Unknown was beckoning him. "I-I don't know, I want to talk to you though. I wouldn't want to leave you alone again."

Kiache
Kiache flourished under attention, and the communication had given her spirit once more. With a flip that was one of happiness, Kiache's eyes were soft and honest as she said, "I have been lonely for many years. New days or hours will not hurt. Have fun."
