Quinn bit back a yell as the wave froze, and immediately got out of the water. She shoved on her shoes, pocketed her socks, and hurried up the sandy beach. Going in past the trees, Quinn glared at everything around her, and almost tripped over a still form. She cursed, and knelt down, feeling his forehead. She yanked back her hand, and frowned at the face. It was the rich boy from the market.

Jack was semi-conscious, so when someone practically bulldozed him, he squealed. "Ow," his voice was practically a whisper and his breath came out in a white puff. After a small coughing fit, he rubbed his eyes, and looked at Quinn. "Oh- you're the one who ran over me." And then he passed out.
((He'll be back up in a bit. I just wanna see how Quinn reacts to my dumb boi.))

"Well." Quinn picked up the sack of bones, careful not to touch his skin, and lugged him over to a grassy area. She plopped him down and sat about a yard or so away. She may be a bit of a thug, but she wasn't going to leave to kid all helpless.

Jack began to cough again as the power of the Mer fire spread through him. Causing the ice forming in his lungs to melt instantly, it hadn't been able to contain his powers against the strong pull of the ocean but now it was working to heat his body.

Quinn scooted away. She wasn't sure if he was going to.... blow up... or something... and that was not the most ideal way to go. "Dude. What even?" She murmured grumpily.

Jack suddenly sat up straight as he pulled in air rapidly. He looked down at his hands which had purple fingernails, then finally looked up at the person who saved him. Blinking his eyes in rapid succession as he realized who it was. Panic coursed through his very soul as he looked at Quinn. His father couldn't know what had happened here. He couldn't. Jack was willing to do anything to make sure he didn't find out. Anything.

"Glad you didn't explode. Well, I don't really care, but I'm glad I didn't explode." Quinn picked at her fingernails, looking bored. Deep down she was very curious, but curiosity killed the cat and the cat was her soul which was already dead.

Jack looked over Quinn with dark eyes. "I wasn't going to explode. Thanks for carrying me, though you could've died. Thanks. And uh, could you perhaps not tell anyone about this." Jack was only asking for now. If she didn't say yes there was going to be a problem.

"Deal. As long as you don't tell anyone we have talked." Quinn wanted to stay under the radar. She never knew when more people might try to rip the remaining power out of her. Since there was still some power left, an injection of her stolen power would kill anyone.

Jack nodded simply, fixing his disheveled beanie. "That's fine by me." Suddenly, a loud beeping sounded from his band. His eyes widened and he looked generally terrified. "I have to go. See you later maybe. Thanks again!" Already he was on his feet and within seconds he was gone, his hover board speeding him away.
