Context:

I mean, just their relationship in general. How they deal with a bunch of shit. Hurt/comfort that totally defines their dynamic, at least, emotionally. I love this one, enjoy! :)

*We start off with Garvin struggling a bit. There was a minor "argument" early that day which was basically just him pulling away and feeling shitty about it. Now, he sits alone outside, coat on, but hesitating to leave for a reason he doesn't even understand before Akira approaches, hands him a bottle of wine, and sits beside him to watch the darkening sky silently.*

Garvin, staring out into the night, cradling the bottle that was emptied hours ago: "Drunk up all the wine on the back porch, listen to the rain through the willow trees."

Garvin, realizing that he no longer wants to leave at all, glancing over at Akira who just grins and shifts to lean their head on Garvin's shoulder: "Must have been something in the melody..."

*Jumping back to earlier in the day when the conflict happened. Garvin pulling away, Nico trying to fix everything, and Revan getting slightly annoyed at the "stubbornness"*

Garvin, about Revan: "You try to play it off but your eyes roll... I know I said things that I didn't mean..."

Revan, looking up from the table where he and Nico had been sitting as Akira and Garvin re-enter the house, watching Nico start to coo over Garvin before looking away again: "We've never been good at apologies."

*Shifting the timeline. Nico's struggling with flashbacks again, which causes tension within the group since, though touch is very much something Nico finds necessary and continues to ask for, it's also a trigger and there have been a couple of incidents. Nico continues seeking out physical connection even as her partners walk on eggshells, attempting to reassure them and all their efforts to help.*

Nico, to his partners, anxious about their hesitance: "Just lay close to me, you don't have to say sorry! Your touch still speaks when words are too heavy..."

Akira, nervous but trying to help: "Slow down!"

Ingall, trying to calm everyone down a little and reaching out to cup Nico's face, fighting his own panic: "Just breathe..."

Nico, tearing up: "Even though I feel broken?"

Ingall, taking a deep breath before stepping forward to wrap his arms silently around Nico, the others quickly following suit: "Sometimes love is unspoken..."

*Another timeline shift. Garvin and Revan have another argument, this one worse than the other.*

Revan, pacing after the argument, frustrated, hurt, and guilty: "Bullets from the tongue always hurt more."

Garvin, similarly struggling, heading to find Akira: "We both know the heart's not bulletproof."

Revan and Garvin, unknowingly echoing each other as Revan goes to Nico and Garvin to Akira: "I know where to aim when I want to..."

Akira, nudging Garvin gently, unknowingly echoing Nico: "And maybe we're not perfect right now..."

Nico, smiling slightly and hugging Revan, unknowingly echoing Akira: "But I know we will figure this out."

*Timeline shift. Akira comes home after an argument with Kumi and quickly seeks out comfort, breaking down openly for the first time in front of their partners without trying to hide it.*

Akira, practically begging the others not to leave them: "Please, just lay close to me! I don't want to hear "sorry!" Your touch still speaks when words are too heavy!"

Nico, immediately going to hug Akira: "Slow down!"

Garvin, wrapping his arms around Akira from behind, quietly burying his face in their hair: "Just breathe."

Akira, breaking down and sobbing: "Even though I feel broken?"

Revan, silently reaching out to wipe away Akira's tears with one hand and gently interlock their fingers with the other: "Sometimes love is unspoken..."

*Final timeline shift. Ingall realizes for the first time that he's actually comfortable enough to let his partners touch him without freaking out and begins to initiate and ask for contact, something that's a little hard for everyone to adjust to, even though they're all very happy about it.*

Ingall, smiling as he asks to actually be held for the first time, tearing up as he once again realizes he's totally fine: "Lay close to me, you don't have to say sorry!"

Ingall, relishing the moment, knowing that he'll still struggle off and on with the idea of being touched by his partners: "Your touch still speaks when words are too heavy. Slow down, just breathe, even when I feel broken."

Ingall, making eye contact with Nico who smiles up at him in his lap, smiling back and leaning more against Garvin: "Sometimes love is unspoken."

Akira, grinning and wrapping an arm around Revan to pull him into a hug as Revan rolls his eyes and fights a smile of his own: "Sometimes love is unspoken."

All of them, sitting in each other's company silently, just relishing being together, without needing to speak or do play up to each other to know they're loved and they love each other: "Sometimes love is unspoken."
