Very fair, and yeah. Akira and Garvin are probably really good at reading each other, which is the only reason why any strain would end up becoming obvious, haha-

Garvin would be so confused if Akira shifted their behaviors too. Like, what? No. He's trying to make up for however bad the home must've been to make Akira prefer the damn streets. Seriously, how bad was it? Garvin barely survived the streets! How the fuck did Akira survive growing up somewhere worse?

He would, of course, agree to feeding each other's addictions though. Obviously.

Yeah, I figured as much. These two street rats are rarely ever arguing or on different sides of an argument.

The biggest issue shows up when Revan uses Akira's preference in the argument. Because he might would. Because during a bad argument between Garvin and Revan, there is no such thing as pulling their punches... Unfortunately.

Akira just being confused about what Garvin's trying to do but reciprocating all of his actions because, obviously the shift is particularly evident when they're around him, so they've gotta make sure Garvin's not doing whatever he's doing for Akira's sake... Or, at least, Akira's going to make it harder for him because they absolutely hate feeling like a relationship is uneven

Also, Revan bringing it up would probably be like a slap in the face for Akira as they finally realize what's been happening, and when I tell you they'll be pissed at Revan-

Like, they get heated in arguments anyway because they're very passionate about protecting those they care about (and, in their eyes, Revan is very much a bigger threat to Garvin than Garvin is to Revan, hence them siding with Garvin constantly... they totally aren't biased because they're so similar to Garvin and understand the impact of Revan's words more-), so their own experiences being used against others? Uh-uh. That's a major no. There's about to be some big problems, lol

Oh for sure. Especially since they would've seen just how bad Garvin's addiction can get due to July. And how much worse of a mindset he tends to be in too.

Well, it also wouldn't just be Akira's preference being used. Garvin pretty much never tells people that he got kicked out of the orphanage. He much prefers to say he left. That it was his choice, his decision. Which makes it a bit more complicated, I'm sure. Because it's what the polycule would think, if he'd mentioned the orphanage at all, it was probably to say he left. So as far as Revan knows, he's using both of their preferences. Two for two, both of them preferred the streets to somewhere else. So it's even easier to not pull that punch.

Only issue is, is that in an argument like that, in those circumstances- Garvin wouldn't be thinking about what he'd told them. Just proving whatever point he'd been trying to make. Which easily spirals into him giving way too detailed descriptions of trauma that easily end up retraumatizing him. This dude will stare Revan down and argue his way into a whole ass panic attack and keep going.

Revan realizes when he oversteps rather quickly, which is just about the only good thing. But in an argument where Garvin starts doing that? It doesn't really matter. Because at point, Garvin's already going between invalidation/downplaying and trying to make a point and defending how bad it was and it's hard to get him to stop whenever he starts spiraling like that.

Yeahhh, the one thing Akira's rather... uh... oblivious to, you could say- is the consequences of addiction. And that's mostly because they struggle with it too and just, you know, don't understand how bad it is-

And, also, if you think any of those characters would want to communicate with your characters, let me know because our darling Sol will very much help with that... At least for characters who are closer to them. He can see everyone who's sticking to the people around them, and he is a bit of a sucker for helping out the dead, so-

Though they'll be more hesitant to communicate with vengeful spirits

Haven't decided just how terrible July will be yet. Probably really bad because of the Andi Arc. So very likely we end up with Garvin in a medical setting for a second time. So... Can't wait for that slap in the face showing just how bad addiction can be.

Yeahhh, I wish everyone nearby luck at getting Garvin to calm down. Akira trying to shoo away Revan would be helpful and terrible all at once. Great in the long run, but short-term, Garvin's going to be very much against Revan 'getting to walk away'. My guy does not understand that they're trying to help him not spiral.
