Jack called upon this new weird power and gently took Quinn's arm. His power flooding into Quinn with a warmth that wasn't like him. After all, Jack was an ice boy. His powers had always been ice. And although he could feel those powers, they were tamed now. Less violent and more willing to do Jack's bidding.

Quinn felt the magic take ahold of her. Instead of how Jack's legs fused, her seemed to split into many. She felt everything becoming smoother and sleeker, and suddenly, the water wasn't that scary. Her storm roamed through her blood, poking at this new power in her veins. Her instincts told her to duck under the water, which she did once it felt complete.

Jack of course, slid back under the waves and watched as Quinn became weird to say the least. His own singular tail was kinda just a limp blob. He was positive that if he moved it, the true beauty would come through. But just trying to move his tail was a hassle. He didn't have knees! How was he supposed to move?

Quinn looked down at herself once it was all finished, her lungs greedily gulping down water. Instead of the beautiful tails that Kiache and Jack had, she had eight tentacles. While some might be upset or afraid, Quinn felt a rush of power. She wasn't beautiful - she was fierce and dangerous. Her body felt like it was in charge, and that she could take it all on.

Jack's eyes widened and he tried to establish the mental connection thingy. It didn't work. He made a slightly pouty face, he wanted to tell Quinn that she looked super cool. God, the whole mermaid thing was really hard.

Kiache had an instant respect for Quinn. Instead of looking confused or upset, she had immediately taken to it. Kiache reached out in her mind and established a link between them both, "Quinn and Jack - try to form a connection between you two - imagine you are trying a string together - sometimes it's easier if you make physical contact."Quinn wasn't super surprised when she heard Kiaches voice, but it still gave her a start. It was kinda strange to have multiple extensions of her lower body, but she thought of them like legs - and reached out one tentacles, which made contact with Jacks arm:

Jack furrowed his brows as he tried to establish a connection with Quinn. Imagining a string tied between their minds, he slowly reached out. "Can you hear me? It's a bit weird huh?" Jack opened his white eyes again. A smirk playing at the corner of his lips. Meanwhile, his tail still hadn't moved and he had grown tired of it already. It was frustrating how everyone else could move and he was just a blob.

Quinn's eyes shot open, "Yes! I can! Good job, Jack! And thank you." Quinn noticed Kiaches smile, but also didn't miss her edge of nervousness, "Kiache? What is wrong?" "I just want to get away from the shore. It's dangerous for Mer to be near here. Easy place to get caught." Now, Quinn wasn't good with people, but she was sure she saw Kiache shiver.

Jack nodded and pulled himself a little closer to Kiache. Hoping his presence was somewhat reassuring. "Yes we should probably move away from the shore. Quickly. But uh, I don't know how this thing works. I'm trying to move it, I really am. But it's just numb." Jack winced, he sounded like a complete and total idiot. The weak link. It was weird, he was trying his best to at least move his tail but it didn't budge.

Kiache frowned, "I am unsure why you are in this predicament, but I can pull you," there was a glimmer in her eyes, "I am quite strong. And I can also tow Quinn." The other girl tried to protest, but Kiache grabbed each of their hands and shot off.Kiache was disappointed and upset by the amount of muscle she lost, but the elation of open waters filled that dark hole, at least for now. Even without being in peak condition, Kiache was still fast. She was one of the fastest Mer in her kingdom, at least before she left.
