Jack looked up at where Quinn was and tried to move his legs. He didn't have legs. He had a tail. That he literally had no idea how to work. "I would like to but uh, I'm not sure how to move." Oh god he felt like a huge failure. Just a huge blob. He couldn't even get up to move.

Bubbles raised from Kiaches lips as she laughed, "Don't worry, there is time to figure it all out." For now, Kiache helped Jack to the surface, and propped him up. Quinn looked obviously relieved, "So it worked?"

Jack smirked lightly as Kiache laughed, her laughter made Jack smile. Always. As she helped him up the smile disappeared but he put on an utterly grateful expression. He wasn't comfortable smiling yet, it felt weird and made his muscles twitch with effort. "Yea, Kiache saved me, and you did too. Thank you so much Quinn. You're awesome."

As Quinn looked at the Mer pair, she felt a twang in her icy heart. It was loneliness. Here she had possibly made friends, at long last, and now they were gone. Taken by the sea.

Jack looked thoughtfully at Quinn. His white eyes staring deep into her. "You know, if you want, since you saved me I can give you my wish. Whatever you want I can grant it for you." Jack could somehow feel the power in his veins that wasn't there before. He could grant her a wish. He knew it.

Quinn wouldn't admit it.. but Jacks eyes kinda freaked her out. So, when she looked up at the sky, it gave her a moment to really think. "Could..." she ventured, "Could I be a Mer too?.." Quinn looked back down when she heard a little splash. It was Kiache flicking her fins, "Oh, yes! If you want to, Jack..."

Jack looked at Quinn with concern, not knowing about his weird change in eye color. "Is there something on my- nevermind. Get deeper in the water, it hurts a little as your leg bones fuse together and moving is really, really hard, like learning how to walk all over again but different. Are you sure? I can do anything else too," Jack looked at Quinn with his weird eyes.

Quinn shook her head, "It's probably in my best interrsts. Those douches," she jerk a thumb over her shoulder, "Would have never left me alone. And it's not like my family cares about me, or that I have friends." Quinn walked a lonely road.

That's literally the definition of Jack's life. His eyes widened at the similarities between the two. People who wouldn't let up on trying to get their grubby little mitts on Jack for his power. Or a family who openly despised him behind closed doors but was the definition of a perfect one in front of others. Friends that he had abandoned for their own safety. "Okay then, I can get that." He held out a hand and allowed the new powers to rise to it. "Ready?"

Quinn nodded, "Yeah. I really am." She shuffled deeper into the water, and allowed herself to relax. It had been a long time since she felt like there was safety around her. Like she could close her eyes and not be afraid.
