Starfire got off his horse as she started to talk. By the time she was done, he was shocked. "You're a shifter, aren't you?" She asked and he winced, backing up slightly. "You don't have to get into this you know. And to answer that question, I really can't say." He said, backing up a bit more. One of the first survival tips was to run as soon as someone figured it out. Best way to stay alive.
Starfire sighed, his head lowering warily. "Yes, I am a shifter. There, I said it. And yes, we stay hidden for our survival. Mostly to get away from hellhounds er-the dogs you saw. Usually when humans figure it out, they try to get rid of us." He said, knowing he owed her an explanation for her help. He didn't know what she would do now that she knew. "Hunters is usually why we hide. Mostly because they think our skins will look nice on the wall." He muttered the last part mostly to himself remembering his father. Ash didn't seem to be the hunting kind but from experience, it was better to be wary.

Ayesha nods, as she listens. She relaxes as Starfire confesses. She shrugs,"Okay." Now that the air was cleared between them, and she now knew what she was getting herself into she was more then willing to help. Ayesha bobs her head,"I'll help." She shrugs,"I'm a hunter myself, but not the kind you face." She glances towards the forest,"I hunt only to eat, and I make the kill swift and painless. I don't hunt for sport, fun, or torture." She pauses,"Though I suppose it still sounds kind of bad."
Ayesha glances back at Starfire,"If you are worried about me suddenly turning on you. Don't worry. I'm not like most humans. All life is to be preserved, no matter what." Her eyes darken slightly,"Well except for the people who are evil, who willing choose to do bad." She shrugs,"I don't know how to explain it. My mind is complex and some days I can't figure it out." She flashes a smile at Starfire. "So are you going to keep watching me like I'm going to attack you? Or are we going to go find your brother?"

Starfire blinked, he wasn't ready for that. He cocked his head, trying to figure it out before shaking his head. "Most hunters just hunt to eat, including us shifters. And I might know what your trying to explain." He got back onto his horse before pulling on his reins. "If you don't mind helping a shifter, then yes, we are going to find my brother. But now that you know, then you should be warned: The place we will be going is filled now with hunters and those big dogs as well as traps. The mountain is where they will be but we will be going underneath it, if we get close enough." Starfire said before turning his horse towards the north. "You can ask any questions you want by the way. I can tell that your curious." He said, flashing his own smile.

Ayesha nods as she steers her own gelding north,"Alright." Before nodding, the mountains. She could handle mountains, though she never usually went anywhere but forests whenever she was out. But maybe it was time for a change of scenery. She glances back at Starfire as they start off. "Surprisingly, no. Right now I have no questions. I might have questions later. But right now, I don't have any." She shrugs. "Well actually just one. Is your whole family shifter? Or do you have like one random realitive that isn't a shifter?" The idea of shifters being real made Ayesha wonder if any other mythical creatures were real. Vampires? Werewolves(Another type of shifter she assumed), unicorn?

Starfire listened to her before bringing his horse besides her. "Yes, my whole family is shifters thankfully. No half shifters around here, they usually stay to South America." Starfire said, happy that she sortof understood his kind. And that she wasn't going to report him, that was a big plus. But he shook himself out of these thoughts as he said, "First stop is Skull Rock. It's where my brother would have stopped for the day on his way. Night is usually like a safecover for us as the hunters can't see us to shoot us. That doesn't stop the dogs much but at least we can fly. We can stop there to rest."

Ayesha bobs her head, musing to herself. Wonder what half shifters could do? Before focusing on Starfire, her gaze scanning the area. "Where exactly is Skull Rock?" Then she blinks in surprise, flying? Ayesha then shrugs to herself, honestly it wouldn't surprise her in some shifters could do magic too. Actually in a way, shifting was magic. But she kept that to herself, mainly because she was still trying to wrap her head around the whole idea.

Starfire tucked the map away before getting off his horse. "Skull Rock is on a mountain. On the top of the mountain, there is a sheer cliff with a rock in the shape of a skull. Hence the name. Can only be accessed if you fly there and most planes crash trying to get there." Starfire said stretching. He walked over to a tree, going behind it for a split second before coming out in wolf form on the other side. "Lucky for us shifters, wings are pretty handy in this situation." Starfire said, smiling before extending one wing, "Hop on. We can get into the cloud cover until dusk comes."

Ayesha pulls her horse to a halt, gaze curious as she watches Starfire disappear. Nodding as she listens. Her gaze flickering north, wondering how close they would have to be for her eyes to be able to see it. Or if Starfire's eyes were strong enough to see it from further away then Ayesha. Then Starfire reemerged, as a wolf with wings. Ayesha blinks before dismounting,"Uh. Okay." She pats her horse, before snagging the pack. Hesitating,"Will the pack be to heavy?"

Starfire shook his head, "It shouldn't be. I've carried heavier things on my back when flying before." Namely my sister and brother's bodies when hunters killed them. He thought to himself before lowering himself down. If he remembered correctly, he could make a slight saddle shape in his fur for others to hang on. He thought for a moment before changing the fur on his back slightly to do this. Once satisfied, he lowered a wing down so Ayesha could put the pack on before climbing on.

Ayesha nods as she pulls the pack on her back, securing it to her with some straps. Then after a hesitant moment, Ayesha gets on. Trying to be gentle as possible, until she sat comfortably on Starfire's back. She gently secures a hold on the fur, trying not to pull to much fur. She breathe out, slightly awed. "Okay, um. I'm ready whenever you are." This was exciting and they hadn't even taken off yet.
