Starfire looked around once before picking up a saddle to one side. "Here, put this on me. It should help you with holding on and not falling off." He said before tucking his wings in so that she could put it on easier. Used on a past shifter with an elder that could no longer shift, it should fit him and even if the straps were a bit big, he could make himself slightly bigger to accommodate.

Ayesha blinks in surprise, leaving so quickly? Ayesha shrugs before snagging the saddle fitting on Starfire's back. She hesitates before leaning under and snagging the straps and pulling them to her side. She attaches them and leans back. Before leaning down to snag the pack,"Are we leaving right now?" She would have thought they woulda gotten at least some rest. Surely Starfire's brother did.

"No, we can stay here for part of the night before starting out again. I need to get used to the saddle first." Starfire said, shaking out his fur. He hadn't had a saddle on his back for a while nor someone riding him for a couple years. Stretching his wings to fit into the saddle more, he curled up near the opening before looking over at Ash. "We should be able to get a few hours of sleep and then wake up right before dawn to get a headstart." Starfire said, tucking his wings in.

"Okay." Came the reply as she sets the pack back down. Before Ayesha settles down on the floor. Resting her head back against the pack. Nodding to Starfire's words. It had been a while since she had slept on hard ground, but it wasn't bad. Ayesha's eyes drift shut, and she just relaxes. Trying to shut her mind down so she could drift off. But today had been quite exciting for her and her mind was still racing.

Starfire watched her for a moment before laying his head down. It had been a while since he had company on a journey. Closing his eyes, he yawned before falling asleep. ~~~~ Starfire opened an eye, his shifter instinct kicking in. Thanks to years of practice, sleeping in was not an option for him. He stretched letting out a yawn before looking outside. It was still dark out but with a slight glow to the east. The sun would be coming up shortly. Starfire stretched his wings before turning to Ash. "Ash, time to wake up." He said gently.

Ayesha's mind finally calmed down, and she drifted off. Waking up to a wolf nose nudging her. Then a voice. Groaning, Ayesha ignores the voice. She was still dreaming, she hadn't talked to anyone for years. Well no one had been in her house for years. So who could possibly be bothering her? Then everything came flooding back, and her eyes flash open. "I'm awake!" Before she sits up really quickly, glancing at Starfire. Stifling a yawn,"Sorry. It's been a while since anyone has woken me up. Usually I just sleep in. Not use to being around others."

Starfire blinked, "It's okay, we should get going. Get a head start." He said before shaking out his wings. The saddle was comfortable on his back now and he kneeled down so she could get on. "We are going to take the winds that the jets take today. It will make up time that my brother made in the pres." He said once she was on her back. "All I can tell you is to hold on tightly." He said chuckling before jumping out of the cave. Flapping down hard, he went into a vertical flight.
Making it to the pres, he kept going until he felt the violent winds pushing and pulling at him. Tilting his head, he finally found the strand of current he wanted heading north. Flapping up sharply, he tucked his wings into cup like shapes before plunging into the current. It immediately pulled him at a fast speed. It was much like the pre's but much faster. Starfire squinted keeping his ears back and head down to be able to let the wind flow easier.

Ayesha nods as she gets up. Stretching and yawning as she shakes off her sleepiness. Before leaning down to snag the bag. Snagging some food and eating it real quick. Then she pulls the bag on her back, before walking over to Starfire. After a second, she gets on. Fitting in well on the saddle, and Ayesha nods. "Alright." Then she secures herself in quickly. The winds battered at them, and she holds on tightly. Actually enjoying it.

Starfire finally spotted their destination; a large mountain range ahead with several watch towers dotting around the base. He looked over his shoulder to Ayesha before saying, "Hold on tightly, we are about to exit." Turning back around, he flapped up, tucking his wings to his side before free-falling out of the fast current. If his wings had been open, they would have been ripped right off. Hence the name of 'wing-breakers'.
As they reached 1000 feet, he cupped his wings slightly open. This was the tricky part that some shifters would always get wrong. Like for example, his father. His father would always stretch his wings waiting for the speed up immediately instead of doing the patient way. And as usual, his father would go spinning out of control. Starfire spread his wings slightly, coming out at an angle but still plunging dangerously.
Spreading his wings slightly farther, he started to even out as they hit 300 feet before finishing the leveling out as they reached 100 feet. He swooped a bit lower as the speed started to catch up with them until he was skimming the tops of the trees. He circled a small meadow before coming in for the landing. Running into the land, he came to a stop panting slightly. A watchtower loomed to the east of them while they had view of the mountain range north of them. "Okay, from here it's on foot or we will have hunters shooting us out of the sky." Starfire explained before extending a wing for her to get off.
Once she was off, he shook himself before shifting into a horse. The saddle fit snugly on his back now but he didn't mind. He looked around, "We need something that looks like reins. If we are lucky, the hunters will think that your a traveler and let us through." Starfire said to Ash, trotting over to a tree. Vines hung from the branches but many looked too think to be made into reins.

Ayesha nods as she leans down, hugging tightly. As they began their desent, Ayesha tucks her head against the saddle hiding her face. She felt the dip and the speed, and finally they were landed. Ayesha sighs in relief. Then she releases her grip, glancing up. Nodding,"Alright." As she slides off, shouldering the pack as she checks nothing fell off. At the mention of reins, she looks up. "What about some rope? I have some random rope in my bag just in case we would have needed it. If not, I am a pretty good liar."
