Kiache smiled warmly, "I will be. The city has many guards around - there is very little danger here." It was still dangerous though. The ocean was one giant risk. Kiache waved with her tail, then shot off.

Jack smiled softly as Kiache left, though worry was still evident on his face. He quickly shook it off though, nothing bad would happen to Kiache. She was perfectly capable of taking care of herself. "I guess we should practice then," he said, turning back towards Quinn.

Quinn nodded, "Cab you feel it as an extension or is it just a blob of flesh. Because I have control of maybe 4 out of eight tentacles." She definitely couldn't swim efficiently, but she could move at a snails pace.

Jack didn't know exactly how to reply to that, as the two were different types of Mer. "Well, sometimes I think I'm doing pretty well but other times it's just useless. It's probably not as hard as having 8 different limbs though." It must've been hard, to have that many limbs to think about.

"So it's kind of alike! I have about half control, and so do you, except it's an on/off sort of thing!" Quinn furrowed her brow, "Maybe... Maybe instead of focusing how to swim, try moving it around and doing things with what you can?"

Jack smiled, it was nice to have someone that was actually trying to help him. It was nice to not be lonely. "Sounds good to me, you gotta do the same thing though. I have a feeling I'm going to make a fool out of myself and I need you right there so others can make fun of you too." Jack chuckled softly at himself, though he wasn't completely lying. He knew he'd probably make a fool out of himself like normal.

Quinn laugher - an honest and free laugh, "Don't worry. I'm just as much of a mess. We will look like idiots togetherness No need to worry..."

Ye
Jack had slowly managed to gain control of his tail. Although it still randomly thrashed about, he didn't mind. At least now he could actually swim without looking too dumb.

Kiache came back a while later, triumphantly carrying five fish. She had already eaten one, due to getting hungry while hunting. "Here! And I bet there are some sharp shells around here to help you guys slice the fish up."

Jack smiled at Kiache, he was absolutely starving. The whole tail moving thing had taken a lot out of him. "Thank you," he chirped before searching for a sharp rock. His tail seemed much easier to control now, and he was very happy with that.
