There was a difference. First thing she did was crunch on a bone and almost choke on it, then it was kinda gross to look at after she slit it. Kiache, meanwhile, bit the head off another fish and soon finished the rest, "Just go at it. Your stomach can digest the bones, but if you don't want to chop off its head and slice it down the middle. It'll take a while, but you can get most of the bones out." |

Jack knew that he should be more grateful. In truth, he didn't actually like fish, he never had. He supposed he would just have to get used to it as he slit it open and forced it all down his throat. Jack winced as he crunched on the bones and almost gagged at the taste. He slowly got used to it, though it was still absolutely disgusting and he knew that it would take him a long time to actually like it. |

Kiache watched the two force down their meal, and once they finished, dusted off her hands, "Well, looks like we'll have to figure out something else." She was cheerful, though, and soothed Quinn when she tried to protest that it was fine, "No, no! Mer are like humans, see? We all have different tastes. I don't like shark, and one of my siblings hates urchin. You don't have to like everything just because I gave it to you." |

Jack was about to interrupt as well, just as Kiache started with her opposing statement. He didn't want to be such a burden, it sounded like everyone liked fish, because that probably made sense. If you lived down here all your life that was probably the norm. Jack was just being bothersome, like normal. Now Kiache would have to figure out different food for him to eat because he was being picky. He felt pretty bad about it but he tried not to show it. That would probably be another weight that Kiache didn't need on her. |

Dang. Okay you seem excited lol XD
It had been a long night to say the least. Ripley often trained with their employer at night, during the master's watch. Today had been particularly hard since in the middle of a lesson they'd been attacked. Obviously Ripley and their master won, but it still had taken a lot of the Mer and the new bandages on their arm told of the newest fight. After being dismissed, Ripley headed over to Kiache's place. Making it there pretty quickly but not exactly sure how to announce themselves. |

Kiache was not at her home, although it was nearby. Her family, after a large reunion, fell back into the normal routine of what it was like before she left. Kiache... didn't know how to feel. She knew that Jack's family wasn't a good example, but still, when the pink-haired-one would be gone for a while, then come back, the parents were relieved. They were also protective. If something went wrong, they kept their children close for a while. The Mer... weren't like that. They were certainly relieved that Kiache was back, and they all have strong family ties, but they didn't keep her close, and now things were what they imagined normal to be. It was shock for Kiache, who had been expecting something different. So, she decided to take a moment to separate from her family, and simply enjoy the freedom of being able to swim far and fast and not have to worry about hitting glass. |

Ripley could not find Kiache, no matter how hard they searched. The Mer hadn't wanted to invade the other Mer's personal space but they worried. Kiache had been taken so suddenly, Ripley couldn't bare to see their friend taken from them ever again. So they decided to go to Kiache's room, just to make sure she was safe. When Ripley finally gathered their courage to go there, she found a rather unexpected scene. Kiache's blue haired boyfriend (it wasn't official or anything but Ripley didn't understand how the two idiots hadn't gotten together yet when their love was so obvious) was sleeping, the water being significantly colder in the room though it wasn't uncomfortable, just odd. He still had that ugly, tattered human shirt on, they didn't understand why he still wore it but it wasn't their business anyways. Then there was the octopus Mer that Ripley still didn't quite trust. She was wide awake unlike the blue haired child. "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you. I'll leave, sorry." Ripley figured they were the most awkward Mer when they were uncomfortable. |
