Kiache tucked a stray hair behind her ear, soaking up Jack's smile. It was at that time Quinn entered the conversation, "Get a room you too..." Her face was buried in the softness of the bed. It had been a long time since she had a good nights sleep.

Jack turned a dark pink and replied to Quinn quickly enough. "Hey Quinn, shut up." He said it jokingly, though he was quite embarrassed. Quinn was so loud sometimes, she was over here exposing him.

Kiache hadn't heard that phrase before, and looked at Jack with a confused look on her face, "Okay?..... Well! Are you two hungry?" Quinn shot up immediately, "Yea!"

Jack calmed his pink face before replying. His eyes flicking over from Quinn to look over at Kiache's pretty face. He hadn't been lying earlier, she was so happy here, it made her already pretty features even more alive. "Yea I could eat. Sounds good to me." Although he would much prefer spending more time with Kiache and just talking to her rather than such a trivial thing like eating. He still needed nourishment, even more so now because of the harsher conditions down here.

Kiache led them outside, and giggled at Quinn's bewildered look, "We don't have cold boxes here to store food. You have to catch it! For the first few times I'll catch fish for you, but I'm going to be teaching you how!"

Jack cracked a smile at Quinn's face, he'd already known about the hunting habits of Mer. Which was why he wasn't too surprised. Though he was beginning to realize that he'd have to hunt too. He didn't know if he could do it though. He didn't have sharp teeth or nails. Plus he could barely use his tail. Maybe his powers would be of some help but he had a feeling that if he tried to use them right now, he'd freeze all of the water in his general area, and himself. He'd die. So his powers weren't an option.

Quinn still did not see how they'd be able to do that, and said as much, "Well," Kiache started, "I doubt you'll grow sharp teeth, but if you look at your nails they've hardened. Now it's just the fact that they need to grow out - mine are the same. There is a problem about the teeth though... You might just have to carry around knives to be able to cut the fish up. Your stomach is able to handle it, I'm assuming, since your lungs adapted to be able to filter water."

Jack nodded, he'd noticed he changes that he could see pretty quickly. Of course, he hadn't actually seen his eyes yet so he didn't know that there had been a change of color. He did know that his ears had changed into the little flappy things that most Mer had, he'd been able to touch them and feel the change. His nails had hardened, as Kiache had already stated. He could feel the intake of water in his lungs and the taking of oxygen from the water. Yes, he'd changed, and he knew it.

Kiache watched the two carefully, "So, I'm not going to worry about teaching you today - just practice swimming while I'm gone - I'll most likely be out of sight."

Jack nodded, a slightly, slightly concerned look on his face. He knew that Kiache was more than capable of protecting herself but that didn't mean he wouldn't worry. Especially after everything they'd been through, he'd be crazy not to worry. After all, worrying was his specialty. "Will do, be safe okay?" His blue hair gently drifted with the current, but he stayed pretty much in the same spot. Which was much better than the day before.
