Elara simply nodded at the comment as she looked around the area. They had already gone a decent way and had been out for a decent amount of time. "This should be enough if we ration it out right. The food may give more people energy to head out this afternoon. Which may mean a better chance of actually finding more food." She stated as she picked up her bag of dandelions. "Let's head back so we can get it cooked up and passed around. Everyone is no doubt hungry." Elara finished as she began to make her way back, not bothering to see if they were following. She would likely skip breakfast, others needed it more than she did and she could probably eat at lunch. Hopefully what they had would be enough to encourage some energy for the others to get up and go out as well, because if not she would no doubt be skipping lunch as well.

Arya

She nodded at Amara's words with a crooked grin, doing her utmost to not breakout into laughter at her jest to the others. The flood gates were overwhelmed by James suddenly piping up with his retort, to which she let out a soft fit of laughter, doing her best to keep her composure. It took her a moment to settle, but her eyes gleamed with mirth at the others expense.

"I slept well given the circumstances, my back has a weird knot in it... Slept on a rock", she grumbled under her breath. Arya wasn't very fond of sleeping on the ground, in the dirt. It messed up her hair, there was bugs, and it's was just uncomfortable. Plain and simple. Oh how she missed her bed, it was as if she was laying upon a cloud. She always had trouble sleeping, but with that bed she always felt rested enough to get by. Now she just felt constantly exhausted... "Maybe I can find a new one someday?", she muttered to herself.

She returned from her thoughts when she recalled Amara's mentioning of the cold. It lead her to frown a bit. If the temperature continued to decrease at the rate it was, there was a possibility for snow in the near future. With the talk of the group moving soon, snow would obviously make moving anywhere very troublesome.

"I don't mind the cold Amara, I am more worried what follows. What I'm more concerned about is your idea of getting out of here...", she said honestly, her voice breaking her usual optimism though this soon drifted away when other things seemed to gain her attention. Other thoughts within her constantly bubbling mind over turning her worries, as she let her gaze fall upon a raven who perched itself upon a gnarled tree.

"A raven...", she pointed out. "... Some say that they represent salvation for the lost", she said reassuringly, though to who even God would ponder. Though what was known was the second meaning of the raven.

An Omen of Death.

As the trio grew closer to the camp, Elara could hear someone mentioning something about a raven and how they 'represent salvation for the lost'. She couldn't help but role her eyes slightly. It was no doubt hopeful little Arya who was making the comment. Elara, silently grabbed one of her arrows from her crappy homade quiver and silently drew her bow and arrow back. Slowly lining up her shot, she aimed straight for the birds chest. She prayed that the other two remained silent so it wouldn't get startled off. With one last adjustment to her aim, she let her arrow fly. Sadly it didn't land in the birds chest, instead it hit it in the wing, causing the bird to caw out in pain as it fell to the ground. Steadily walking towards it she called out to Arya "Yeah well now it represents food." Stopping right in front of the suffering creature she quickly looked back and said. "I suggest you look away and cover your ears if your squeamish." And with that, she gently placed her boot on the neck of the black bird, and quickly pressed down till she heard a snap.

Arya

The raven perished quickly, though she could tell it suffered. Seeing it shreik in pain made her frown. Elara, returned... Oh Joy. Turning to her, she offered a disapproving glance.

"Was that necessary?", she asked evenly though her annoyance was clear. She wasn't opposed to more food, but the sudden brutality was less than appealing for first thing in the morning... Even if it was a meager bird.

There was a small stain of blood and feathers upon the ground where it's head was crushed, an eye lay separate from the rest of the corpse... But what annoyed her the most was the oblivious undermining from Elara. They never seen eye to eye since Arya arrived, the girl was simply cold and cynical. She always had issues with her more positive outlook.

"She let the bad things get to her, regardlessshe doesn't get to be a catty jerk", she mentally concluded.

"Yeah, actually it was." Elara said in a slightly smart alecy tone. She then bent down, and yanked the arrow harshly out of the wing of the raven. Picking it up by its claws, and putting the arrow back in its quiver, she stood and turned around, not waiting to see if Hope or Killian had followed her even mildly closely back to camp. "Because you wanna know why...sweetheart?" She practically spit out the stupid little pet name with sarcasm like it was poison, as she walked up to Arya and held the bird right up in front of her as she said. "It's either this bird..." Elara then stepped right into Arya's face as she practically hissed out, and pointed to many of the still sleeping figures who were just beginning to stir awake. "Or one of them....figure out which matters more..." and with that, she shoved past Arya to go and get some food prepared. There would no doubt be hungry mouths to feed when the others awoke and she didn't want to keep them waiting longer then they had to. 'That girl has far to much hope... her damned mind is nothing but sunshine and rainbows. She's far to hopeful for her own good, and one of these days reality is gonna come back and bite her in the ass. And I'll be damned if I'm not there when it does....' Normally with many of the others she wasn't nearly as harsh, but with Arya it was different, she didn't plan to let up until she finally figured out that the world was cruel, and wasn't going to change anytime soon. After a moment, Elara shoved all those thoughts aside. She needed to focus on cooking, she needed to keep people alive...

Amara looked to both Elara and Arya. "Little harsh there Elara, but yes. We need food" she said before she shook her head. "I need two volunteers to scout around to see if we can't find a more suitable place to stay. It's risky being here." Her blue eyes looked at the small group as Killian placed down the coyote. "Does anyone know how skin an animal? If not, I need to teach a few of you. It's going to be needed to use the skin for warmth." She didn't let her secret worry be down as she saw Iris shake her head on not knowing how to skin, James was in the same boat while Killian shrugged. "I might know, but a refresher course would be nice" he replied before he smile to Arya and waved to her.

Alastor
Alastor simply watched the scene play out from a distance. His sharp green eyes looking each and everyone of them down from his hiding place. He had followed the little trio after seeing the bright head of hair of one of the young women. While he had yet to meet any of them, they all simply seemed like a rag-tag group of misfit survivors. Perhaps it was time to introduce himself. If they survived this long then they must have some idea as of to what they were doing. Besides, he may be able to get more information, like if the fiesty, bright head of hair hair had a name. Slowly coming round the corner that he had been hiding behind, he gave a slight whistle to alert them of his precense.
Rosie
Rosie stirred more at the sounds of someone practically growling about something. While she couldn't quite make out what it was at first, the moment she opened her eyes she knew Elara and Arya were at each others throats again. Elara was already stalking off to the small fire pit that they had made and Arya looked slightly taken aback by whatever she had said. Rosie simply streched as she yawned and said "Good morning". Although if those two kept at it, she had a feeling it might not be as good of a morning as she hoped for.

The sound of someone's whistling quickly caught Elara's attention. She stopped her attempts to start a fire in the small pit that they had made, and quickly stood and turned to try and spot the source of the noise. Her mismatched eyes landed on a tall figure farther off coming round the corners of one of the buildings. Silently picking up her bo staff and bow and arrows, she carefully came to stand near Amara. No one made any sudden moves as they all simply stood and watched the stranger from a distance. Their were a few small things scattered about that they could likely hide behind if the newcomer chose to open fire. So, as loudly as she could without risk of the stranger hearing her, Elara stated. "Get down..." She then moved to carefully crouch down behind a pile of rubble and prayed that the others would as well, but then, a thought struck her 'The others....their still asleep... if whoever that is has any backup and they choose to attack....The others won't be prepared to fight or run...their sitting ducks right now.' While a few were beggining to stir awake, others still seemed to be fast asleep. Taking one last glance over the pile of ruble, Elara carefully remained crouched, and moved to attempt to wake the others.

Tristan was waking up now. he was stretching slightly as his green eyes fluttered open. he groaned a little as he started to move more. his leg hurt a bit from the burns that he had gotten when the disaster happened. he had wrapped the wound, and then ignored it enough that probably no one else knew about it. his pants covered the area and he was glad about that. he didnt want anyone to think he was weak or unable to help with anything. so he ignored the pain and continued to act like nothing was wrong. he straightened his hair as he started to become more awake and active. his hair was his favorite part of his looks, so he did his best to take care of it at all times.
Alex woke up also. she had been asleep a little longer because she had stayed up to watch over some of the others the night before. she also had trouble sleeping anyway, but she wouldnt let anyone know about that, or tell them why. she didnt talk much at all in fact. she wanted to be left alone for the most part. she was never really close to anyone, even before the world exploded. she had been orphaned as a baby, and no one ever adopted her. so this taught her to be a loner. she felt safe being alone, because that meant that no one else could hurt her by leaving her. she didnt understand why her parents hadnt wanted her, but she took it mostly to heart and assumed that she was a mostly unappealing person. she tried to be polite and nice, but she was very standoffish and quiet.

Amara narrowed her eyes when she heard the whistle. "Weapons ready" she told the group as she grabbed her bow and arrows. She watched as Killian grabbed one of the many knives he gathered and stood in front of Iris who was shaking like a leaf, obviously afraid of whoever was now out there. Amara looked over at James was grabbing rocks since he wasnt much good at anything else. Amara prepped her arrow before she called out. "Whoever you are, show yourself!" She wasnt about to let some random person attack or hurt anyone in the group. She heard Killian whisper to Iris to his behind a boulder that was towards the back of the hideout they were in.
