Yellowstone, it finally erupted. The power of the volcano shook the world, destroying lives, homes, and dreams. Now only a few of us remain, trying to survive this world with no sun while the ash still covers the earth. All of us lost family, and we now only have each other to rely on, to stay alive. Can we pull through, or will we be doomed to join the others in death?

No crushes/relationships with your own characters.

This RP will be Semi-literate (5+ scentences per post), if you cannot do that, please do not sign up.

There is NO power, no phones, no computers.

ALL buildings are ruined in one way or another. No buildings are fully intact.

Starting out it will need to me MxF only to repopulate the world (If the RP keeps going then MxM and FxF will be allowed)

I will control day and night to keep everyone on the same page

No families are alive. Nobody related to each other lived.

NO PETS. Nobody will have any pets living, nobody will "find" any pets to claim. The only animals in the RP will be used as food.

This RP is HUMAN only. Nobody will be able to sign up or play as an animal.

Elara stirred slightly as her eyes slowly opened to a familiar sight before her. The sound of gentle breaths and slight snoring was accompanied by the sound of wood being scraped as well as someone shuffling around. Her eyes first landed on a black hair male, roughly her age, sitting up and sharpening what appeared to be a stick. Not wishing to make any unnecessary awkward eye contact, she allowed her mismatched eyes to search for the source of the shuffling.

It didn't take long for her to spot the blonde head of Amara, who had taken the place as the leader of the group. She seemed to be taking a headcount or something of everyone that was their. As she watched the blonde slowly make the rounds, she carefully snagged up Mango and promptly shoved him into her backpack which she had been using as a pillow, to ensure he wasn't seen. She didn't need anyone knowing that she still slept with her sloth stuffie.

Carefully throwing a glance back at the sleeping form of her friend Max, who laid just a foot or so away, she quietly sat up and slipped her combat shoes on and tied them. She then proceeded to silently get up and fold the thin blanket she had been using before placing it back on the pile that the group had made. Being sure to not step on anyone, she grabbed her backpack and slung it over her back, making note of the others that had been sleeping near her before making her way toward the exit that had nothing but a blanket for a door.

"Tristan, Chance, Sage, Alexis and Max are all here. I'm heading out to get some breakfast." She stated in a quiet voice as she passed Amara. "And my name is Elara... incase you forgot..." It wouldn't surprise her if she had forgotten her name, their were a lot of people, no doubt hard to remember some names. Although she had decided to tell her just to try and shorten the young woman's headcount, even if it was by just a little.

With silent agility, Elara weaved through the sleeping forms and reached the exit. She grabbed her bow, as well as her almost useless quiver of arrows, along with her bow staff which was basically a led pipe she had found. With a small, partially rusted multitool, which she kept in her backpack. She took a deep breath and moved the blanket aside.

Hope stirred as she heard shuffling from some people waking up. She opened her eyes, her vision slowly clearing. She listened to the shuffling, breathing, and slight snoring of people nearby. She sat up from the thin blanket she had been sleeping on and put on her black zip up hoodie she had been using as a bit of a blanket. She looked around, spotting the blonde haired girl, Amara, taking what looked like a head count. She spotted a black haired guy, around her age, sharpening a stick. She didn't want to make unnecessary eye contact with anyone who was awake, so she looked around at the sleeping people. She watched as one of the other girls woke up, Elara, if she remembered correctly.

She had slept a bit away from the group, not always comfortable in such close situations. Luke stirred slightly, but stayed fast asleep. Hope and he had become fast friends, and she felt oddly protective of him, even though he was a year older than she. She looked around the group once more, still surprised that such a large group had survived, and found eachother. She walked over to Amara. "Luke is still here as well." she added, hearing the other girl giving her names of who was still there. She weaved through the sleeping bodies, carefully. She flinched slightly as one person mumbled something in their sleep, waiting for them to wake up. Luckily, they didn't, and she continued going over to Elara. "Mind if I come with you?" she asked, after hearing she was going to find some breakfast.

Elara quickly turned to meet a pair of green eyes. The owner of the eyes was a girl golden brown hair that fell in a braid over her shoulder. She stood above Elara by about two inches but she looked to be at least a year or two younger then her. After giving the girl a quick once over she finally spoke, while grabbing an extra burlap bag for gathering. "Alright, get a bag and your weapon, and meet me outside." She stated plainly, before moving the blanket aside and stepping out. Allowing the blanket to fall closed behind her, she walked a little ways forward and waited. The sky was dimly lit due to the clouds of ash that nearly blacked out the sun. It was cooler then what it should have been for spring time, so she quickly slipped her backpack off and place her bow and bo staff down as she quickly untied her purple flannel from her waist and slipped it on. As she was buttoning it up, she heard footsteps come up behind her, as she looked over to see the girl again. She was carrying a small burlap bag and a weapon, as Elara put her backpack back on and picked up her weapons and small burlap bag as well. "Alright, remember that all parts of a dandelion are edible, so those are likely our best bet of food. If you see a dog or cat, or any pet of that nature, kill it. We don't need more mouths to feed and they can only provide as a food source now. Finally, stay close to me, there is safety in numbers, and we have no idea who else may be out there that is looking to hurt us." Elara stated, reciting some of the things that Amara had told them when they had first all began forming the group. Although the dandelion part was simply something Elara had known due to the fact that she had always enjoyed reading a lot about survival and nature before the eruption. Without another word, Elara made her way down the street of the town that the building they were staying in was located. Most of the buildings were badly broken and some had even fallen. Everything was so different now... but that didn't matter at the moment. At that moment, what mattered was that her and... Hope was what she believed the girl's name was, got food for the group.

Amara watched the girls before she called to them. "Take another with you, please. I would feel better with you going out then." She felt somewhat irritated that they felt the need to remind her their names, but she understood it so she didn't say anything about it. She started to go through to wake others up, starting with Iris and James before Killian spoke up. "I'll go with them" the male offered as he stood up, stretching a bit. Amara had nodded before she looked back at the girls. "Please" she said as she pulled her hair back.

Hope looked back, flipping one of her knives in her hand, with the burlap sack over her shoulder as she waited for Killian to catch up. Once he had, she caught up with Elara in time to hear what she said. She had to admit, she was a bit sad about the pets part. She herself had had a Portuguese Water Dog before Yellowstone erupted. She had died in the explosion though, and Elara was right. It would be better to end their suffereing and be able to eat than to let them live on, still suffering, and starve. In a sense it was more humane. She followed Elara down the street, looking at all the rubble, and trying to pick out any movement among it, human or otherwise. She had always had a hunter's senses, and now she actually had to use them to survive. She spotted a racoon going through the rubble, pretty plump for how things had been since the eruption. She pulled out her knife, and flipped it a few times, making sure it felt comfortable and that it was aimed right. She lined it up a bit more, and then threw it, hitting the racoon and killing it instantly. She walked over and pulled her knife out of it, putting the racoon in the burlap sack. A few weeks ago, she never would have thought of killing an animal herself, but now....well, times had changed very quickly.
