"It's night time." Baelfire said as he tried to push pass his dad. "You need to be careful. Our enemies were spotted wondering in the night." His dad told him before moving out of the way to let him pass. "Ain't I always?" Baelfire asked before bounding out of the den. Once out, he spread out his wings and took to the sky.

Echo was near the border with the other pack, she had tracked a rabbit there and killed it before it crossed the border. She flew up into a tree with her prey and began to eat the juicy rabbit, Echo preferred to eat in trees. A few minutes had passed when she suddenly heard wingbeats from the other side of the border.

Baelfire landed and peered into the darkness. He was hungry and excited for the chance to hunt. He sniffed the air and cought the scent of a squirrel. He followed the scent and started stalking the animal. He pounced quickly killing the squirrel. Baelfire went to the nearby pond of water and laid down with his back to the water. He started eating his meat.

Echo stood up and peered through the leaves of the tree she was in. Whatever had landed had killed something and was eating it by the river on the other side of the border. She used to Moonlight to try and see who was there, to her utter shock and surprise she could see the shape of a wolf by the river. What the? She said in thought

Baelfire finished his kill and got up. Turning around, he drank some water from the river. He looked up at the moon and shook out his wings before taking to the skies and finding a tree to lay in for a bit.

Echo's jaw dropped as she saw the wolf's wings, she honestly couldn't believe it. Theres another wolf like me! She took a step back but yelped in surprise when her paw missed the branch, making her fall to the ground with a thud.

Baelfire perked up. He looked around searching for what had made the soft thud. It came from the other side of the border. He peered into the darkness looking for the source and only spoted a shadow. Great someone saw me and my dad is going to be furious. He thought as he stayed low on the branch watching the shadow.

Echo groaned and slowly stood up, nothing felt broken but her side might have been a little bruised and she had sprained her paw. Well isn't that just great she thought as she stretched her wings to see if they were ok. They felt fine, but then she remembered about the wolf on the other side of the border Oh no.

Baelfire watched as the shadow grew bigger. He cocked his head questioningly before jumping from his tree and flying to the boarder. He peered through the darkness watching the other wolf.

I have to hide! Echo thought to herself. She quickly decided to hide in a different tree, she swiftly flew up into the tree and hide in the thick branches. With that she sighed in relief I should be safe up here
