You can do one or the other. I'm still working on Irving's character sheet (even though I've had him ever since I was thirteen—), so right now, all I can give is an outline. Appearance-wise, he's around twenty-five, but the bags under his eyes make him look older while his (fake) smile makes him look younger. He's a redhead, his hair almost copper—ginger, essentially. His eyes are amber (gold at the right angle). He's around... 5'5"? Possibly shorter. His build is also lithe; he's almost gaunt. He clothes himself in baggy outfits that hide like 99% of his skin. As the Shadow Thief, he wears all black like an emo teenager from 2014. I describe him as someone who looks attractive as fuck, but he does his best not to present himself that way. Personality-wise, he can be summed up in one sentence" "happy-go-lucky and traumatized." Essentially, :):. He's all smiles and laughter and adores to make a fool of himself. He's overdramatic and eccentric, loud and boisterous, but he internalizes a lot of anger. Since he has magic-induced memory loss, he doesn't quite understand exactly where all that anger comes from, but he knows that it exists. His dragon, Merek, with who he has a complicated relationship, has experienced his anger directly. This anger is mostly kept under wraps, though, and Ikio is happy 75% of the time. What makes him explode are reminders of his past. And that's all I've got so far—

Right. My character doesn't have an appearance yet, but his base personality is basically cold and leader-y. He turned 20 this year and he acts far older -- he's active in politics and in his kingdom and basically as nice as he needs to be but not much nicer. Speaks politely with a cold expression, always has an opinion of things and yet highly withdrawn in the personality department, giving what he needs to to others when they need it and seeming empathetic and yet it never wuite reaches his eyes. He's pretty clearly inexperienced from the way he speaks to the other royalty or whatever messengers there may be, yet he always has input and fairly good ones, too. He's a pretty quick learner and persistent at that; if there's something he needs to know, he will learn it. His personality beyond how he acts to his people and his ""peers"" is unknown to all, though. Probably even himself.

Yeah! I would like to know if you have any thoughts on what their relationship might be like, though.

Honestly, I think that they wouldn't like each other at the start. For one, Ikio would try to annoy the living shit out of him. Either by stealing his shit, taunting him, or just acting obnoxious as hell, Ikio would find a way to get under his nerves. This would mostly be out of internalized frustration at being forced into a duty he doesn't want any part in; he'll try to project all his anger of his current predicament at the one who's suffering alongside him. Now, as for whether their relationship is platonic or romantic, I'm down for both. Either way, it'd have to be a slow-burn of sorts because Ikio is allergic to vulnerability.

Feeling platonic, 'cuz Ikio seems a little old for him (admittedly my bad but I do want to make my character young so I refuse to change it). Not the worst age gap in the world, but I've got my own rules. I think a platonic relationship'd still be interesting, though. And about the stealing shit part, my character is wuite literaly a king of thieves so he'd probably either notice or steal it back. Imio would still pribably be able to get a good look at anything on him before he notices, though.

I'm 100% A+++ with platonic! I've always wanted to do a platonic relationship with my boyo for so damn long, you've got no idea— They gon' bond over stealing each other's shit, LMAO— If your character wanted to steal all of Ikio's shit, Ikio probably wouldn't be able to do anything about it even if he's one of the most infamous thieves on the Land. Ikio doesn't use his magic (he despises it, actually), he doesn't like to get too physically close to anyone, and he doesn't like to actively look for shit, so if your character kept whatever he stole from Ikio on his person, Ikio wouldn't be willing to approach him and yank it off of magic them back to their rightful place; if he hid them, Ikio wouldn't go looking. Unless your character, like, steals Ikio's bracelet. Ikio would go apeshit.

I'm probably going to roll a 20 sided die DnD style every time Ikio tries to steal something from my guy. If it's over 10, he succeeds and my character notices a bit later, but if its over 17 then he can keep it. Mainly because I can't imagine my character being particularly attached to any of his belongings, so there isn't anything where he'd definitely without a doubt notice except for, like, his clothes, but who the hell would steal that. Anyway, how much else do we have to come up sith? Save, like, a character sheet for the both of them and names for my kingdom and guy. Edited at September 19, 2021 12:09 AM by ThisIsAPackName

I think we have to think about how our characters will meet and how they'll realize they need to save the world. As for your kingdom, you'll have to come up with a language (they're called "dialects" in this world. The actual language in the lore is called "Lishenel."). If you don't want a dialect for your kingdom, that's perfectly fine; it'd make sense that they wouldn't have one since they're an amalgamation of people from different kingdoms and thus different dialects. The current dialects in the Land are: "Amlrik" for Amlriyax. It is based on the six Celtic languages. "Napjich" (officially) and "Garjiahn" for Gajiang. It is based on Korean. "Kipok'loh" for Kipokl. It is based on Indian. "Girmon" for Girmaon. It is based on French and German. "Srulva" for Taylbakus. It is based on Russian. "Majian" for Majia. It is primarily based on Latin and Greek. You might also have to come up with a name for the accent of the people in your kingdom. "Accent" in this world refers to, well, the accent a person has when speaking another dialect or Lishenel. The current accents in the Land are: "Amlrik" for Amlriyax. "Garji" for Garjiang. "Kipok'sohn" for Kipokl. "Girmon" for Girmaon. "Valruk" for Taylbakus. "Majian" for Majia. You don't have to memorize any of these, by the way. On the scale of things, these minor details can be overlooked. Everyone pretty much speaks Lishenel, anyway. What you'll have to come up with is a name for your kingdom's people. Currently, here is how people in the kingdoms are referred to: "Amlriyaxian" (plural: "Amlriyaxians") for Amlriyax. "Garjiahn" (plural: "Garjiahns") for Garjiang. "Kipo [masc.] | Kipa [fem.] | Kipp [neu.]" for Kipokl. Add "s" for plural forms. "Girmon" (plural: "Girmons") for Girmaon. "Vlas" (plural: "Vlases") or "Taylbakan" (plural: "Taylbakans") for Taylbakus. "Majian" (plural: "Majians") for Majia. I'm trying to think of more.
