Iru watched the two as they interacted. They seemed close from what she could tell and it got her to smile slightly. Maybe it would be good for her to actually get out for once, she had been getting bored lately. And she wouldn't be in any real danger, right? She could still bolt if it came to it. Just had to be careful and stay alert. Much like shoplifting...accept the shop was a shifter fight and the consequences would be more severe if you were to get caught. This definetly did not feel like a particularly good idea... She was pulled out of her thoughts when Night turned towards her again and offered to teach her how to pick pocket. "Ok.." she said, tilting her head slightly. Still not fully sure if she would go through with it. And she had just lied about her ability to pick pocket. Well, it was not entirely a lie, it had been a while and she wasn't the best, but still.

"Ok.." Iruna said, tilting her head slightly. Night looked happy and Starfire simply rolled his eyes at Night's behavior. Night got up before saying, "Okay, here's the details. Considering it is the inner rim, then yes two so called 'tamers', me and you," He pointed at Iruna, "Will be okay unlike in the outer rim where one tamer per shifter. Now, the wealthy comes in through a seperate door but the ring is bigger so don't run too far from the opponent Star." Night said before turning his attention to Starfire who simply nodded. "I can go out and teach you pickpocketing now if you would like Irunda, or can I call you Iru? Starfire should probably rest to get ready for the fight."

It was all alot to take in as the details were explained. Had she really just gotten herself involved in this? She had been so careful about avoiding getting involved in business like this, and now all of a sudden..she never was good about keeping herself out of trouble if she was invited in like this. She nodded a little when Night spoke to her again. "Alright. And Iru is fine" she answered, still trying to catch up to all that was happening. She wasn't sure if she was excited or terrified about what she was soon going to do. A bit of both probably. (Sorry, it's a bit short) Edited at April 20, 2021 03:08 AM by Loner'sWar

Starfire nodded to both of them before going to one corner and curling up falling asleep.
(Switching to Night~) Starless watched Starfire before shifting into a fox again. "Okay, when we get to the rim, we can shift into human form." He started out towards the inner rim. Pickpocketing was good anytime but inner rim people seemed to care less. Shifting into human form, he used some illusions to hide them while he waited for Iru to shift. "Okay, so pickpocketing is quite easy if you think about it. When your walking, keep one hand down and if you 'accidentally' bump into someone, bow your head as if 'sorry.' Your hand would have picked up a valuable in their pocket when you seemingly bump into them and then bowing your head down to see what you got. Got it?" He knew that pickpocketing was easy for himself and hard to explain. It took time to learn the perfect ways. "When the wealthy is sitting down in the shifter fights, you can simply slip the jewels out of their pockets as they don't pay attention at all."

Iru followed night out with some reluctance. Still feeling somewhat uneasy and nervous about things, managing to more or less mask it now though. When they reached the inner rim, she shifted aswell. It was odd to find herself around here twice in one day. This time she was here to pick pocket though. A definite change from the norm. She turned her attention back towards Night when he started to speak, listening quietly to what he had to say before nodding a little. "Alright..I think I got it" she said, looking around them with some curiousity. And she was getting a little more nervous now. It had really been a while since she last tried to pick pocket and even then she had only gone for the easiest targets whenever she did try it. Self taught methods weren't always the best.

Night nodded before saying, "Watch." He dropped his illusion before walking out, one hand down. Picking a distracted man that was sipping on coffee, he bumped into him, snatching a gold chain that was in his back pocket. He bowed his head slightly as the man muttered at him to watch it. He tucked the chain into a pocket before walking back to Iru. Pulling the chain out, he said "The distracted ones are usually the easiest because they believe they ran into you and don't want to admit it." He looked back before nodding to a distracted wealthy woman hurrying down the street, "Try that one."

Iru watched closely as he demonstrated what he had just told her. Soon returning with a gold chain. He told her that the distracted ones were easier, then proceeded to point out a clearly distracted woman. Likely late to some sort of appointment. Take a breath, she stepped forwards. Normally she would be carefully moving around everybody..Now she was purposefully putting herself in the path of someone who she knew was going to bump into her. It felt wrong in some weird way. They bumped into eachother, as meant to happen, and the woman paused long enough for a frustrated word or two before heading off again. Iru simply lowering he head with a quiet apology. Her hands seemingly empty. One skill she was definetly still very good at, was hiding things if someone approached her unexpectedly. She straightened her arm down, allowing valuable items of sorts to tumble out of her sleeve and land back in her hand.

Night watched as Iru bumped into the woman, her hand looking seemingly empty. He narrowed his eyes slightly before seeing the valuables fall out of her sleeve and land in her hand. He had moved, placing his illusions around him so no one else could see him. He smiled, the girl did have a small sense of knowing to pickpocket, it was always nice to have several ways to hide things.
He walked back to the spot before dropping his illusions to see Iru, "You are a natural! You have definitely pickpocketed sometimes or another." He didn't sound mad because he wasn't, in fact he was pleased. The girl had hidden secrets that one, he wasn't going to pry, but two, very helpful. "Let's get back. The fight starts in an hour and I want to make sure we are there to inspect the ring." He said, looking over his shoulder before shifting into a fox heading back towards the hiding place.

Iru laughed softly, giving a small smile. "Quite some time ago" she admitted a little sheepishly. It was good to know she still had it, but she had still learned a couple of new things from him that she hadn't considered before. So she was glad he had brought her here to teach her. Shifting once more into her fox form, she set off steadily back towards home. This time far more comfortable with the direction she was going in. Her little den was the one place she felt safe. And soon enough they reached it. She shook herself happily as they approached. Her ears up and alert. She wondered if Starfire would still be asleep or if he would have woken up by now. She certainly would have wanted to still be asleep if she had been shot out of the air and then a couple of hours later had to go to a fight.

Night approached the den before turning an illusion over the opening as he and Iru stepped in. He could see Starfire in one corner of the room, looking like he was still asleep. Before Starless could check though, the form moved until two eyes looked back at him. Night flicked his ears as Starfire got up and stretched asking, "How did the pickpocketing go?" Night puffed up his chest, "She is a natural." Straightening his fur back down, he said, "We should get going if we are going to check the ring out before the fight."
Starfire nodded before stretching his wing out. The bullet hole was now fully healed but it probably still hurt to fly on. Watching Starfire tuck his wings away, he shifted into a wolf before nodding to Iru. "Time to go." He looked back at Starfire once as the now wolf followed him into the forest towards the fighting ring.
