Troy Droit
Male | 18 | Rider
Mentions: Dragons, Tyrus, Alexa, Julien, Mircea
Indirectly: Everyone else, basically

There wasn't much else to say. Troy had successfully arrived at the clearing for the Choosing Ceremony, and to say the least, the teen was excited yet terrified. His stomach would growl at him out of the building anxiety rising in his veins. Troy had never been this scared of anything in a while. But it was a fear of something else - something much larger than Troy (and he was considerably large). But regardless, he declined his feelings and decided to focus at the task at hand.

Troy sniffled, adjusting his weight on each foot as he looked around the valley. There were already others here, approaching one another and the dragons were fascinating. He had never seen one truly up close, and nor did he think he had the chance of being chosen by one. It was fate, and although Troy wasn't the most brightest when it came to things like fate and destiny, this was definitely one of the things he could look forward to for now on. A blessing, perhaps, and Troy didn't want to jinx it - he still had the chance of not getting chosen by a dragon.

"This is fucking insane," Troy laughed, mainly audibly thinking to himself. It wasn't anything he had dreamed of. It all seemed too good to be true to him, honestly. But he was here. Standing in the Choosing Place, waiting to either have the best day of his life or the worst. Either way, it would be an experience, one that he would probably remember and cherish for the rest of his life. Unless he were to be killed now, perhaps by a dragon itself.

It was crazy. Troy wasn't scared of the dragons. He was fascinated by them, honestly, and by looking around - so was everyone else. But what he was so scared of was the fact of the big what if. What if he doesn't get chosen? What if the bond isn't made? What if this was all really just a dream, and Troy was in some wonder land? Stop thinking. That's what he needed to do. He could already feel his heart beat increase just by thinking about it.

All the excitement, terror, and happiness had been thrown out the window when Troy widened his eyes at the first dragon he spotted. A large male fire dragon. Holy shit! This was all happening, and Troy literally couldn't manage to stay in one spot. Well he could, and he did, because he remembered everything he was told. Don't approach a dragon unless it approaches you, basically.

Would that really apply right now?

Regardless, Troy huffed as he watched the fire dragon dive down. It caused him to back up on his heels ever so slightly, and he could manage to regain balance after the dragon had landed with a slight thud.

"You're a big boy, huh?" Troy hummed to himself, looking towards the others. He still stuck to himself, considering Troy would probably cause some sort of ruckus. Why wouldn't he? Although it would be fun, it wouldn't be the time for it, and he doubted anyone wanted to hear his smart ass comments regarding practically anything.

Man, now he really wanted to bother everyone. But instead of being the boy he is, Troy restrained himself, basically telling himself no. Which was surprising - he was a bit more impulsive than this, and was glad he could finally make some sort of effort to restrain himself. It was a goal, and here he was, waiting for a dragon to eventually pick him and well, deal with everyone else around him.

In the distance, he could see something of a sort of smoke emitting from the distance. It wasn't smoke though, it was something much more powerful than that. Not coming from a fire, but rather a Dark dragon. Wait-! A dark dragon! Troy widened his eyes slightly at the realization. This was fucking real. Way too fucking real.

Soon there was also a water dragon that would appear, in which Troy just chuckled in astonishment. In awe. Everything he wanted was here for him to see, and eventually (hopefully) claim. A dream come true, honestly, and Troy couldn't be more excited.

"This. This is going to be it."

Although he wanted to keep to himself, Troy couldn't any longer. He began making his way towards the group of Mircea, Tyrus, Julien, and Alexa, all of which seemed to be deep in their own conversations. He kept quiet, though he of course listened for anything he could jump in on. Nothing interesting to say the least, or at least not anything he could make a comment on.

"Don't start crushing on a dragon, Mir," Troy whispered towards Mircea as he noticed his astonishment towards the water dragon. Though his whisper was soft and quiet, it was still audible for everyone else to hear for the most part. Maybe he'd get some sort of reaction, because this was only just the beginning of Troy teasing Mir. And everyone else.

Aeolus
Air Dragon | Male | Mentions: Troy Droit, Asmodeus, Nirmala, Orva

Indirectly: Mircea, Julien, Alexa, Tyrus

A yawn emitted from the dragon. He had been curled up in his makeshift hideaway and blinking his sapphire eyes slowly began to open. Aeolus moved outside his den and began to stretch his body, and shaking his cranium prepared himself to fly. He inhabited a large mountain and found it fun to live at the highest altitude possible. Why? Because he loved to dive down as quickly as possible. He looked down at the long drop below with a small smile one his features. Then without a second thought, he jumped and tucked his wings to his side, and hanging his tongue out, gave an excited whoop. He was free-falling from the heights and this was what he loved to do. Ah, the adrenaline rush was exhilarating and he loved the feeling of the soft mist against his scales as he plowed through the cloud cover.

As he feel he could see the rocky bottom of the mountain and a smug grin crossed his features. At the last second, he opened his wings and skimmed over the rocky surface. Tilting his wings slightly upward he caught an updraft and skimmed over the trees. The trees blowing behind him in his wake, and the male looked upwards and pumping his wings flew higher and higher until he was above the clouds. How he loved the crisp air and the feeling of flying free and unrestricted. Aeolus hoped his rider would like to fly high and not be frightened of heights. He held his gift for his Rider in his mouth, and it was a necklace of old dragon fangs.

Tossing it up he watched it fall and swooping down after it he used his crystal-like claws to catch it. He pumped his wings to gain quicker speed and soon the Riders and other Dragons came into view. He saw Asomodeus flying around scaring the daylights out of the humans, and giving a hearty laugh he shouted, "Oi! Pranking the humans without me Asmodeus? You're no fun fiery sir!”

He spotted the Water Dragon, Nirmala. Along with his friend Orva, the Light Dragon. "Looking lovely ladies!" he said complimenting them both genuinely, with a smile on his face. He would have to catch up with Orva later on.

He then skimmed over the future Dragon Riders careful not to hit anyone with his tail or wings. He then felt a pull and looking down he spotted a small group of people. It seemed to consist of mainly boys. And the male made a graceful landing without hitting anyone this time. He then felt a magnetic pull towards the group, and he carefully examined each child before him. His eyes tranquil, and observant. The one with the glasses wasn't his ride ,the young girl wasn't his rider either, he looked at the young male that seemed to be scared out his mind, definetly not his rider, he looked at the short one who blinked his eyes a couple times at him, but his eyes settled upon a dark-brown haired boy. It was his Rider! He felt his eyes widen in awe, and a deep rumble of approval come from his chest. Yes, his rider looked strong.

He felt the bond between them snap and contract in place. He hoped it wasn't too bad on the human's end. He gently used his wing to politely nudge the others away so he good get a better look at his human. This male was his, his Rider. Bonded with him until death. Oh, how he prayed this human liked dragons and scaling heights. He exhaled a small breath of an almost frost like vapor on him in a playful manner. Aeolus then decided to try the mindlink.

Hello human. I am Aeolus and I come bearing gifts for you, my Rider. What is your name? His deep baritone vocals speaking telepathically to the young man. He then motioned to the necklace of fangs that were wrapped around his claws. Do you like scaling heights, and feeling the rush of adreneline through your veins? He looked at his Rider with wide eyes ready to listen to every word he said.

Marcella

Female || Dragon Rider || M: Open

[ind.] Other Dragons, Riders, Nurzhan

Her attention was turned to her right, as the Fire class dragon landed. The creature took a couple jumps forward hissing at the terrified looking riders before him. Something then flashed out of the corner of her eye and she whipped around to see it. A light class dragon. She had only ever heard of the magnificent creatures and now one was here! She let out a low whistle, whoever got that dragon would be one lucky rider.

As the light started to fade she noticed another figure beside it, a fog curled around both of them and as it subsided Marcella realized it had been a Water dragon creating it. The two separated, and the water class dragon turned towards some of the waiting riders. Would they be looking for their rider already? It seemed to be moving so fast, but she was excited.

She looked back to the sky to find not one, but two more air dragons. One produced a cloud and water droplets seemed to freeze before they dropped out of it. The dragon making it dived, it looked as if he was about to hit the ground when it’s wings finally snapped open and he landed. Marcella looked for the other Air dragon, but it was gone.

She didn’t notice that it had begun to skim over some of the others, but soon it was passing over her. She didn’t allow herself to get her hopes up as it neared, it could be anyone’s dragon. It passed over her. It soon made a landing not far off from where she was standing and nudged some of the humans gently away with his wing. It seemed as if the first dragon had found their rider.

It all happened so quickly, there were so many dragons. But they were still greatly outnumbered by the people here. It all seemed to quiet down for the moment, she didn’t notice any other dragons executing extravagant shows, so she went back to searching the terrain in hopes for more. Maybe some were still out there?

It was only then, when she looked towards the forest when Marcella noticed a smog. It came from among the more shadowy parts of the forest though she couldn’t see a dragon. It was more of a wisp at the edge and she had almost passed over it. Marcella was intrigued, and she pushed her way through the crowds of people to stand at the front. Eyes narrowed as she watched for another sign of the dragon. She had heard of the Dark class creatures before, but like the Light class, she had never actually seen one. It would be interesting to see if the dragon would come out, or if any of the riders would have to be daring enough to approach it. The dragon might not come to them.

Would she dare walk after it? Not knowing if she had a chance of bonding with it or if the creature might be aggressive if it saw her. If it was still planning a grand entrance still, she also didn’t want to be the one to ruin it by approaching first. For now, she would watch and wait.

Kianna Daize
Female | Dragon Rider | Mentions: Mircea, Julien, Troy

Walking across the field, Kia's warm, dark eyes roved the clearing in search of Cea's familiar form. Though he wasn't super easy to pick out in a crowd, she was so familiar with him that she could probably find him eventually if there were millions surrounding him. She kept walking even when she didn't spot him, not wishing to stand still and look awkwardly alone. Her search for him probably wasn't assisted by the long glances she cast towards the beautiful dragons that roamed alongside the crowd, looking for their riders.

I wonder which I'll get, she thought. Well, if I get one today, anyway. How exciting would it be if both she and Cea received their partner today! Oh boy, she hardly dared to hope such a thing would happen. Imagine training alongside her older cousin, that would be a dream. What if they both got the same element? That would be so cool. Speaking of elements, she wondered which she would get. She tried not to think about it, not wishing to get more excited over one than another. However, her thoughts wandered towards the elements. She didn't believe she'd get light or darkness. Though there was one or two out here today - surprisingly enough - they had characteristics she didn't see matching her personality very well. Perhaps an earth dragon? Those were dependable, the way she was. Maybe a fire? Protective and fierce such as she? Water, air? Oh, so many options!

Her day dreaming was interrupted when she spotted a head of beautiful, well-kept, inky black hair. She knew those vague lighter highlights anywhere. However, she briefly froze when she saw Julien standing next to him. She quickly controlled her reaction and strolled over casually.

Her cousin, as expected, was geeking out over the dragons. "Hey," she said as she approached, offering a little wave. Kia eyed their interlocked arms with an impassive expression. Troy's comment caused her to smile.

Before she thought up a response, she was gawking in admiration as a lovely male air dragon fell from the sky and landed near the man. She willingly stepped away and watched them make a connection. It was so interesting, she paid no attention to the fact that she was definitely staring impolitely.

Would she make a connection with a dragon like this today? Her thoughts once again started wondering to whether she would or wouldn't, whether it would be a male or female, whether it would fire, air, water, or earth. She got so caught up in her thoughts that she zoned out a bit, forgetting her surroundings as she imagined all the possible matches she could have.

Brontes

Male || Water Dragon || M: Persephone

Brontes had always enjoyed his conversations with Persephone, but this one was by far the best. If you are truly not sarcastic then take better care to hide it, I can still hear it leaking into your speech. He said, speaking through their mindlink. He grumbled out loud as she mentioned how dumb he had looked trying to impress another water dragon. He had given it a good attempt but in the end, he was rejected.

Actually, her name was Ticali, and that is absurd! I never swoon over any dragon….she was just a close friend of mine. And hey- it’s not funny when you exaggerate, it was a very serious time in my life!..... And it was three months, not two. He added hastily, voice dropping to more of a whisper, a sheepish expression crossed his face. It was a rare one, but Brontes was still capable of becoming embarrassed in his rider’s presence, though it didn’t happen often. The water dragon let out a little growl and turned his head away from Persephone in mock annoyance. Watching her clutch her heart and pretend to faint.

Yes, I need to replenish my water source, I’m nearly out. You made me cry with all of your teasing about my horrendous rejection, and now my water supply is wasted. He said sarcastically, faking a sniffle before turning his voice to a more dramatic tone. I shall now die because of you! Whoever thought, a Rider killing their own dragon! Gahhhh. With a gasp, Brontes flopped onto his side and stuck out his tongue in an attempt to play dead, before sitting back up when Persephone scooched closer to him. In all seriousness, I would like a refill before meeting the new recruits. I want to be able to put on a spicey entrance that will knock their socks off, and I’ll need lots more water for that.

Brontes wanted to make an entrance, now just being there was enough of an introduction, be he wanted something that would inspire respect or even fear. Turning his attention back to his rider, he used their mindlink again. Blaming a tree now, are we? He asked, blowing a small puff of mist in her face as she stuck out her tongue. When we got the news that you would be Squad leader, I actually got the opposite reaction among the dragons. I was a literal god to some of them.

At the mention of Augustus, Brontes gave a nod. Ah yes, Augustus. I have to agree, he did look like a rat. I wouldn’t be surprised if his dragon mistook him for one and squashed him by accident. Once Persephone had become Squad leader, the little brat was constantly on their backs trying to correct them or tell them what to do. Brontes would have eaten him, except he was Ticali’s rider, and he didn’t want to explain to his friend why her rider was missing.

“Ah yes, most of the rider’s have potential if they are willing to work hard and treat their dragon correctly,” he added out loud. He heard Perse groan as he used his nickname for her and playfully hit his side. Brontes quickly did the same, taping her shoulder with his tail. “Rides like that are fun, especially when it involves dropping your rider a few times,” he joked.

“It’s funny that you ask, I actually am hungry. Hungry for some unimpressed children'' he grumbled, “They better like our entrance or I’ll eat them.”

Agneya

Fire Dragon | Female | Mentions: Other Dragons, New Riders, Kianna

A young female dragon lay basking in the heat of the sun. She was perfectly content in staying where she was. Her residency was an oasis in the desert. She enjoyed the heat of the desert during the day but never the desert nights. The desert nights were cold and she hated the cold, but oddly enough she enjoyed cool water. The oases she inhabited seemed to have been abandoned by humans or was an old area they resided. She could tell by the small amount of scattered buildings, but those were rare, it was the wild growing crops that could only been brought by human hands. It was the zangy scent of lemons and oranges in neatly made rows that caught her attention when she first started living here. She quite enjoyed the scents, and was intrigued with how the palm trees lined around the oases provided a barrier of protection for the crops from the desert winds.

The female slinked through the vegetation and made her way to the springs that was the lifeline of the oases. She had chosen a good spot. The water wasn't too mineralized as to cause the water to be undrinkable. It was pure and fresh, and she enjoyed every sip of the water she took. She then began moving to the edge of the oases and found a nice area of sand. She rolled her body, much akin to a cat rubbing against the ground. She let sand get upon her scales, and then she shook it all off. It was what could be described as a "sand bath" one to keep bugs and parasites of her body, and for good measure she shook off a bit more. Exhaling a bit she went to the fruit trees, and began sniffing them. Gently she began plucking fruit off. She chose three oranges, and she secured them in a large palm tree leaf.

She took one last look at her home before taking off to the sky. She was careful not to drop her gift for her human. Her wings curled at the tips as she flew. The breeze was calming, and she enjoyed the feeling of the air. As she flew closer to the valley, she noticed the crowds of humans beginning to come in along with the entrances of other dragons. The female watched how some dragons found their humans, and she hoped she found hers. She had five digits which made it easier for her to "grab" and "hold" things. And she gripped the leaf containing the oranges tightly so it wouldn't spill any contents. Opening her mouth, she let out a small plume of smoke, before releasing her bright and hot fire. She weaved through her little ringlets of fire she made, and flew with a small aerial display. She was not using all of her fire reserves at once just to show off. After her small display, she fell something pulling her. And she gently landed following the pull.

She decided to carry the leaf with her mouth now, so she didn't squash the oranges. She soon found that where the pull was the strongest, an air dragon was near. She felt her eyes sharpen at the sight of the dragon. He was near her human. Now, as a Fire Dragon she was territorial. And he was in the way of her "territory" that was her Rider. She noticed a girl, one with caramel brown hair and warm, dark brown eyes that was gawking at the male Air Dragon. She was her human. Agneya felt a pang of jealously rise within her chest as she observed the girl gawking at the male dragon in awe. Her human should be looking at her like that, not him. Slowly she made her way to the girl, and flapped her wings a bit to get of the ground, and she used her hindlegs to securly pick up the female, and fly a bit off with her. She felt the bond between then begin to form, and snap into place. She didn't fly too far from the small group of humans she was with, but a short distance away from them so she wouldn't have to display her territorial behavior or be in the way of other dragons. She carefully set her human down, and made sure she didn't fall over.

Hello girl, her voice purred through the mindlink, my apologies if I startled you. My name is Agneya and I am your dragon. I bring fruits of the desert as a gift for you. And she set down the leaf, to reveal the three oranges. Agneya hoped the girl liked the gift.

She felt her tail curl around the area of the girl in a possessive manner. Agneya was not in the mood of letting anyone near, and if anyone did they would be getting a slap from her spiked tail. She was bonding with her human and she pitied the soul of the person if they tried to interrupt them. Her eyes were on her human, taking in every detail of her. From her ivory skin to her freckled face. Her human was quite pretty, and she had shiny earrings. The dragoness curiously nosed the shiny earring on the girls right ear. Agneya loved shiny things.

|| Ryia Beaumont ||

|| Female || Dragon - Asmodeus || Mentions: Students & dragons ||

Ryia heard it before she saw it, the flap of leathery wings beating against the air. But the sound wasn’t coming from her front, it was coming from behind. A jolt of fear shot down her spine, and her honeyed eyes widened. Instinctually her knees bent, lowering her body closer to the ground as she whipped around to look behind her. A large form descended from the sky at speeds Ryia had never seen. Move!, her mind screamed at her. Screams echoed from the other students as they dropped to the ground. In the air just above her and the other students, the red dragon straightened out right before crashing into them, flipping over so its back sliced through the air right above them.

It was as if the world suddenly went into slow motion as the beast passed over head. Smooth red scales filled her vision, accompanied by darker red, almost black, markings that curled, slashed, and dotted his body. It was as if something had taken over her mind, she found herself wanting to reach up her hand and run her fingers over the scales, she wanted to trace over each stipe and swirl with her fingers.

In the bink of a eye the beast was gone. The remnants of smoke and flame hung in the air, the only evidence that it was ever there in the first place. The gust of wind that followed his passing was strong enough to almost knock her to the ground, she shielded her face with her arms and braced herself against the wind.

When Ryia found the dragon, it was behind her again. With a thud the red beast shook the ground as it landed. Whipping around he lunged for the students, his lips curled up and a low hiss emanate from him. Pearly fangs glinted in the sunlight, and Ryia felt her heart skip a beat. She staggered back from the beast, making sure to stay away from those teeth. Teeth that have probably ripped apart countless humans.

After getting to a safe distance, Ryia kept herself lower ot the ground, arms out in front of her body, in a protective stance. If she had one, a dagger would probably be firmly gripped in her right hand, but what could a dagger do against a dragon. Fire class, she told herself. With flames like those, she wouldn't stand a chance even if she did jump out of the way. Fire class dragons had the ability to melt skin from bone.

Ryia’s thoughts were interrupted when another form emerged, this time from the surrounding undergrowth. This dragon was the embodiment of grace. With its head held high and unfaltering stride, this dragon could command the attention of a room with just a look. Ryia felt her breath hitch. Radiant, was a proper word for this dragon, literally. She squinted against the bright glow that the dragon emanated. Like the sun dipping beneath the horizon, the glow faded. For the first time she realized the light dragon wasn’t alone. Steam covered the dragons like a mystical fog from which they entered from another world. A dragon of the water class strode in beside the light dragon. Out of the corner of her eyes movement and the absence of light caught her eye. From what she could tell a black smoke like substance wove through the forest trees. Brows drawing together in question, Ryia couldn’t tell where it was coming from.

Cold hit her skin sliding down her cheek. Ryia blinked, confused by the sudden feeling. She wiped her cheek with her hand and looked up towards the clouds. Falling from the small drops of frozen water fell, sparkling in the sunlight. But that wasn’t all that fell.

A dragon of white struk the ground like lightning. Landing in the front of the crowd. Deadly eyes of ice caught her eye making her body stiffen. Before she could process the newest appearance of the air dragon, another appeared. Landing in the crowd. Students scattered to get out of the way of the large beast, but those who didn’t paused. Hoping. Stopping in front of one student, Ryia knew they had bonded. A lump began to form in her throat. Caught up in the sight of the bond, Ryia cursed herself, A large dragon of the fire class had practically appeared out of no where. Flapping above the crowd, large talons reached towards the students, scooping one into its claws. Her heart nearly stopped at the sight. Its going to kill her, was her initial thought. The fire dragon flew a little ways away before landing, setting the girl down. Waiting for the flash of teeth a screams, Ryia clutched her shirt above her stomach.

But the blood never came.

As Kia continued watching the male dragon sizing up Troy, she felt her gaze wandering around a bit to tell if any dragons had started on approaching her. While she didn't see any yet, she did notice the flashy display of a fire dragon in the sky. The female - Kia guessed it was female - seemed to dance gracefully through rings of her own smoke and fire.

The dark figure was decorated with radiant copper and golden colored scales along her back, her main color being a deep, warm hickory color. Kia didn't get a good glance at her, but didn't spend too much time minding her, to be fair. There were just so many dazzling dragons that could possibly be her match! How could she focus on one flashy female?

However, a small package carried gingerly in the females claws did catch Kia's attention. I wonder what it holds, she wondered. She had heard of dragons bearing gifts to their humans, and she supposed this was one of those situations. Kia brought her dark gaze back to Troy's bonding moment, though she felt somehow intrusive watching.

Out of the corner of her eye, the dark female landed and started in her direction. The package was now in the dragon's mouth, and she seemed to have found her human, as her expression held a certain determination to it. Maybe another in the group Kia stood with was going to be paired! Oh, how exciting! Kia felt a smile lighten up her features, but before she knew it, the fire dragon was gently wrapping her up by her shoulders and putting her down a little distance away.

Now, Kia's thoughts were a mess. What? Why did she move me? Was I in the way of her human? She does look a bit territorial right now, I suppose. Why isn't she heading back to bond with her human? It wasn't until that moment that Kia felt a throb in her head, a momentary sharp pain that had faded into a dull thud. It felt uncomfortable, possibly a bit painful, even. Yet, somehow... right. Not as if a new piece had been slid into her mind, or two detached pieces had been connected. No, it was more like a loose string had just been tied up, but by an outside source.

Hello girl, the silky voice purred directly into her head, my apologies if I startled you. My name is Agneya and I am your dragon. I bring fruits of the desert as a gift for you. As the female set down the leaf, three delicious looking fruits, oranges, made their appearance. Kia stared in wonder. She hadn't eaten much since she was so excited for the ceremony, but her mouth started watering as she eyeballed the wild fruit.

Kia looked up at the dragon, looking over her dark form, the crimson stripe decorating her throat, the stripes along her back, and the scales pointing up from above those stripes. Long, slightly curved horns faded from inky black to a dark marigold at the tips. The female's cat-like eyes shone with intelligence, and Kia admired the burnt orange and red color of them.

Um... She said through the mindlink. She hadn't even realized that she'd been attempting to communicate, it had just... happened! How amazing! Hey, you did startle me, I just expected you were going to another human. I'm Kianna, but everybody just sticks with Kia because it's easier. I am really super pleased to meet you!

And, my gosh, how absolutely stunning you are, she finished in her head. That's the main reason Kia had expected the dragoness to go past her.

Kia felt her gaze wandering back towards the oranges. Her mouth watered, and she spoke through the mindlink again to test it out once more. Thanks! I had a small breakfast because my stomach was full of butterflies. She let out a light chuckle. Kia then bent down to grab an orange, biting through the peel and all to take a bite out of it. Strange, yes. Something she got "ew"s and "That's gross"s to, definitely. However, she didn't mind the peel all that much.

Kia felt her thoughts wandering to how this mind link think worked. Would they eventually be able to communicate without even really consciously meaning to? How far were the distances able to get up to? And what happened if one lost the other? Would the loose ends just separate? Now that Kia had felt the connection, she was certain she would notice the void if she ever did lose Neya (a nickname she had started using subconsciously), and the thought brought her pain. How could she feel so attached when they'd just met, though?

Asmodeus
Male | Fire Dragon | Mentions: Orva, Nirmala, Other Dragons, Humans, Ryia

The male growled with pure satisfaction at the terrorized screams of the frightened humans that fled from his nearing jaws. Weak was all he thought of them as the scurried away like mice. Surely none of these weak fledglings were his rider. Right? He couldn't, no, he wouldn't, tolerate such a thing. A weak rider was as good as a dead rider in his book.

Growling he prowled around a bit, body moving like a snake with legs, oddly graceful, maybe even a bit mesmerizing, but smooth and with the promise of deadly lethality. Asmodeus moved like a predator: with purpose. His eyes scanned the crowd carefully, before a sound followed by a light brought his attention to the side.

Quickly he hissed and curled his wing in front of his face in defense, blocking his sensitive vision from the bright light the dragon was emitting. Light dragons, he grumbled inwardly, unimpressed with the light show the dragon was putting on. What was worse? The moisture that followed was. He hissed as it collected on his scales for mere seconds before evaporating to steam. It was gone, though, as quickly as it came, and he shot the two a glare.

Showboats.

Though, Asmodeus clearly had no reason to speak, he had basically done the same. But that was fire dragons for you. Shaking his scales, he lifted his head and allowed himself to lift to his full height to shoot the two what was akin to a death glare, though humorous intent was behind the feline like gaze.

"Surely you two can do better," he voice was a low, guttural hiss, mildly mocking in tune. His flicked his tail, and a smirk played over his features, though it was interrupted by an air dragon, and others, dropping into the scene. It was quickly becoming crowded, and it was displeasing the already tempermental dragon.

Snorting he darted back over to the humans quickly, causing a few to step back and rose to his hind legs. Arching is neck, the male peered over and through the humans before his gaze drifted to one in particularly. She stood out amongst the rest, at least to him, and his eyes focused solely on her for a moment.

With a growl, he came down to all fours and prowled through a few humans to get to her, effectively batting one out of his way with his wing, a startled yelp reaching him as the frightened human was launched a few feet. He cared little for that one's well being. The one he came to stand before, though, that was different. Growling softly he lowered his head until he was just above eye level, effectively looking down at her.

"You," he spoke to her, his tail flicking around him, nearly hitting another human in the process. This was his rider? This girl? He bared his teeth aggressively at her and clicked his teeth. Would she do? Or would he be better off eating her?

Julien Devereux
Male | Dragon Rider | Mentions: Mircea, Other Humans, Orva, Nirmala

To say that Julien was basically fan girling was.. well.. accurate and some how an understatement. A squaky coo poured from him as he clutched to Mircea like a child. Excitement was clear on his features as he practically jumped in place at the sight of the gathering dragons. There were so many!

And a light dragon? Her companion, though, is who caught his attention. The water dragon was so elegant! His smile widened and he tapped Mircea and nodded at her. "She is stunning, isn't she?" Yes, the light dragon she was with was beautiful, nearly radiant actually, but there was something capturing about the water dragon that wouldn't let his eyes travel away from her. Whoever she chose would be a lucky rider.

Julien found himself taking another step forward though, wanting to walk about to the pair of dragons. He knew it was ridiculous, but he just wanted a closer look.

"I want to get closer," he whispered to Mircea, and then unraveled from the other boy's grasp. Slowly he walked closer, going in an arc so he wasn't in the center and edged slowly closer. Once he was, he knelt down, not wanting to draw too much attention to himself. In all his research he had never seen a dragon up close and personal, and, given there was a high chance he wouldn't get chosen, he was determined to see one as close as he could, preferably without getting eaten.

Once he was closer, but still what he thought was a safe distance away, he called out softly, "Hello." He couldn't tell if he was being brave or stupid. Probably the latter.
