Ember Lee Anders M: Jasper, Jeta, Thomas, Heather, & Ms. Smith Ember quite liked Jasper, she seemed so nice, but was she his friend? He'd never really had friends or at least human ones.., he once had a beautiful German Shepard named Mint before his mom found out.. Friends talk, he did know that, and Jasper and him had been talking.. should he continue talking, would that make them friends? He tried to talk," So I uh.. bu.. bu..," he then paused and cleared his throat his tone confident now," So uh, do you like to read and if so what genre, I-I personally love fantasy.." His smile grew, he quite loved to read. Ember then saw a teacher or he thought it was teacher, all he knew was they were an adult and then he saw three students, his heart quickened slightly and he became a little nervous. There was a girl with bright red hair, another girl but she had chocolate brown hair and a guy with black hair that had blond highlights. I wonder when the Choosing Ceremony starts he thought to himself.

Sky, Ms. Smith | 21 | F | Dragon Flying Trainer | M: Thomas, Heather, Jeta, Jasper, Ember
Sky lead the students to the hall where the choosing ceremony would be taking place. "Find a seat," she told the kids "As soon as everyone gets here we will get started." Looking around she could see they were still missing a few students, but the eggs had been set out for the ceremony. Alina always loved the eggs, and Sky admired that. She didn't see Saoirse, but that did not mean that she wasn't there. The eggs all looked different, but that was to be expected given that she knew that there were many different species at the rescue and that meant many different eggs.

Heather Ashlum - 16 - Female - Student Heather rolled her eyes slightly as the girl apologized. What was the use? Words did not last very long. The boy turned and looked at her. His eyes met hers and she stared at the grey stormy eyes before hers. She nodded when he said they were both at fault. "Yes, yes, you are forgiven." She took a step forward just as a teacher suggested they get to the ceremony. Sighing as the boy agreed, she walked forward and brushed past him. Holding her head high, she strode ahead of the teacher. Heather entered the room where the ceremony would take place. Another girl and boy were talking, and the boy glanced their way. The teacher instructed them to find a seat and Heather complied, sitting down first. She did not make any effort to sit near anyone, instead she allowed them to either be close, or stay far. You could tell a lot about a person on each and every choice they made. If they sat farther from her, they were either afraid, which could be a tiny hint of fear, or a pounding inside their head, or just didn't have anywhere else to go. She glanced around as they also took a spot and found the eggs. There were many of them, all lined up. And almost all of them looked different, though it appeared as though some would ontain the same type of dragon. As her eyes traveled over the eggs, one caught her eye. It had a perfect blue shell with spots of white that seemed as though they might glow in the dark. Heathers eyes were riveted on it. She knew that was the egg she would go to first. She wanted to hold it, to feel the tiny dragons heartbeat within.

Jade Brooks - 14 - Female - Student Jade Brooks sat down in the closest chair she could find. Most of the other students had already found their seats. She sat away from everyone else. Her green eyes darted around the room, taking in every detail. Eggs of all colors were lined up on a table, waiting to be bonded with someone.

Saoirse Byrne The bonding trainer quickly rushed into the ceremony hall. A curl of her hair got cought on a nearby door, but she easily freed it. The woman had a bagel in her mouth, and she looked around at the room. It looked like most of the students were there, along with the other teacher. Saoirse quickly took the bagel out of her mouth with a hand, bitinginto it as she left it half-eaten. She went and stood next to Sky, still chewing the bagel as she allowed the other teacher to talk. Saoirse wasn't the one who usually spoke at these things, and she didn't want to. She wasn't the best when it came to being serious, so she just stood next to the flying trainer, eating her bagel.

Sky, Ms. Smith | 21 | F | Dragon Flying Trainer | M: Everyone(ind.), Saoirse
"Welcome everyone," Sky said once she had moved to the front of the room, "I am Ms. Smith and I am the flying instructor here at Meadow Blossom Dragon Rescue. We also have our bonding instructor, Ms. Byrne, here with us today," Sky gestured to Saoirse, "Today is a very special day, today is the choosing ceremony. Behind me, you can see seven eggs. Each of you will get the opportunity to attempt to bond with each egg. You do this by placing your hands just over the egg, but not touching it. Wait for about 30 seconds, if nothing happens please step back so the next person can try."
Sky looked around the room, they seemed to understand what she was asking, so she continued "Repeat this with each egg until you reach the end of the line, or an egg reacts to you." Sky looked around once more than said "Is that clear?"

Heather Ashlum - 16 - Female - Student Heather saw another girl sitting away from most of the groups and noted her. She would talk later. Another teacher rushed into the room, a bagel in her mouth. The teacher went to stand next to the one that had directed them in. She listened closely as one, Ms. Smith, began talking. She was the flying instructor. The other was Ms. Byrne, the bonding teacher. She explained they would get a chance with each of the eggs. Hold your hands just about it for a little, then move on if nothing happened. When she explained to do it until one reacted or you did them all, Heather began to wonder if some of the students would not get a dragon. A pang in her heart made her hope they all got one. She nodded along with the rest of the students then glanced around. Nobody was volunteering yet. A vague thought flashed through her mind that some other student might bond with the dragon in the blue and white egg before she got too it. No, she couldn't have that. Heather stood, raising her hand, determined to reach the egg first. "Ms. Smith, Ms. Bryne, may I please go first?" She asked, her gaze still on the blue and white egg. It seemed to be calling to her, ever so faintly.

Thomas Anvidir || M: Jasper, Heather, Ms. Smith, Everyone else [Ind.] He strode down the halls in complete silence, not a single sound even from his light footsteps as he made his way towards the Ceremony Hall. His mind was preoccupied, his thoughts elsewhere. He was nervous, apprehensive, and yet filled with childish glee. He was excited to once more be in the presence of a dragon, to feel the bond. It's a euphoric feeling, the relationship between man and beast. The binding of souls, intertwined between flesh and blood. The greatest friendship that one can't even express throughly with words, only those who've experienced such things truly understand. Once upon a time, Thomas had known this many years ago. Yet, all know of life's cruelty. He shouldn't have allowed things to go as they did, he allowed his foolish naiveté to rule his judgment. Many died for that... He frowned at the thought. He missed Daegon. He worried about himself forgetting him, it didn't sit right in his soul to replace him. Yet, if Thomas was to succeed in his goals he needed to. Besides, he learned his lesson a long time ago. His once lax mannerism shall be no more because now he was wiser. His soul understood, he had the knowledge of the past and of the World. He was no longer naive or blind. The dragon who he claimed today would be more than a replacement. It shall be as if it was his child. A parent never allows harm to their child, and if so they are to be damned to the seven hells. He swears upon his name as an Anvidir and by whatever Gods shall listen that he and the dragon shall make names for themselves, and they will become strong enough to stand upon their own. Upon arriving at the Ceremony Hall, he felt the power from the dragon eggs. Their life essence, as they fed upon their eternal Flames. All dragons are birthed into the World as mere stones, until the grace and love of their mother breathes life into them by gifting part of her soul to them. The dragons within the egg then feed upon them and grow, till they hatch. Their eternal flame determining their element to which they breathe. This was just one of the many magics of dragons. It is also this life force that allows dragon riders to bond with their dragons... And the hall as saturated with it. Being one who once bonded with a dragon, yet not holding the dragons living soul within him, Thomas could feel the essence in the air. It practically screamed to him, feeling the once present draconian essence within him, and it sent his senses into overdrive. A primal feeling to protect the eggs from all danger pushed its way to the forefront, especially with the emergence of an unknown yet deathly aura. He could feel all the living entities within his vicinity, and a single person caught his attention and all of his malicious ire. An unknown girl whom he saw within the halls talking with another student. She looked unimposing yet her aura told another story. Shadows danced around her, and told of a coldness in the air. It seemed to notice Thomas glaring at it, as it seemed to amplify its more grim presence, the boy being manipulated by dragon aura didn't seem phased. It wasn't until a voice called out in a low rumblings tone, "The Spirit holds unforseen dangers, Child. Even if it is a one percent chance, it must be neutralized. It and the caster...". It immediately seemed to awaken the humanity of Thomas, as he realized that whatever was speaking with him just suggested to kill someone. He did his best to shove out the malicious thoughts, but fighting instincts were always difficult. Still the voice once again prodded, "...Light chases away shadows, Child". He chuckled to himself at the mental image of himself shining a flashlight upon the girl, as she merely disappeared like the Wicked Witch of the West... Simply Melting. He didn't wish to be Dorothy in this situation, so he slowly made his way toward the most calming aura within the hall. Surprisingly, enough it was as if someone found total peace within themselves. Like the missing piece of your soul finally found. His gaze fell upon a familiar red haired girl, the one from the halls. Taking into mind her more tense mannerisms in the halls, he sat about one seat away from her to avoid arousing her ire. As soon as he sat, the teacher spoke and he did his best to pay attention, but his mind dwelled elsewhere. He was struggling to distinguish why the girl's aura felt so calm when earlier she seemed... Very confrontational, he'd assume. She stood, asking to attempt to claim her dragon. It was then that it all clicked into place, he'd seen how she eyed the blue and white egg. She had already chosen. The air between the girl and the egg began to shimmer, and he could feel the faint roots of the girl's and the egg's bond beginning to form. All he could do in that moment was offer the girl a knowing smirk, as he sat back and watched the scene before him. Side Note: Essentially Thomas can see and feel auras due to his past experiences with dragons. There is more to this but plot says no spoilers. Sky, Ms. Smith | 21 | F | Dragon Flying Trainer | M: Everyone, Heather
Sky watched as the red-haired girl raised her hand. She knew the look on the girl's face, she was worried that the one egg she had picked out for herself would be taken. When she asked to go first, that just confirmed her suspicion. "Of course, you can, start at the left-most egg and move right," she said. Sky hoped that the girl would get whichever one she wanted, it was always so sad when a kid was so attached to the idea of getting one egg, that when another dragonette chose them, they couldn't fully bond. Thankfully it didn't happen often.

Heather Ashlum - 16 - Female - Student Heather smiled faintly as she walked forward. Six other eggs sat on the table. One was a dark grey and black, another scarlet red. A third was blood red with a small dark red pattern that looked like splatters of blood. She turned her attention away from those as she came closer. Her hand brushed the corner and she brought them both up. They drifted over the first egg and she stared at it, her hands an inch from the surface. It was almost as if she could see the dragon form within. It seemed to stare back at her, as if saying she was not the one for it. After a few more seconds she moved on to the next. This time she did not focus much on the egg itself. The blue and white one was only two eggs away. Heather felt herself drifting towards it, only pausing at the next egg and walking directly past the next one. Other students had stood by now and begun passing their hands over the eggs, but she didn't care nor even notice. She held her hands over surface of it, watching intently. Almost instinctively she moved her hands down to rest upon it. It rocked slightly and she stared at it. Then slowly, she saw something within. A small blue body was standing inside of the egg, its claws pressed against the edge of its prison. It tapped the eggside and she smiled, feeling peaceful as she lay her hands on the egg. A sudden footstep behind Heather and she jerked her hands back, remembering that she was only supposed to have them over it, not on it. As she pulled her hands back, the tiniest thin line appeared on the surface.
