Thomas Anvidir || M: Jeta Anderson A cold breeze sent a chill down his spine as he pulled the fur mantle around his shoulders closer to him. It was a primal kind of chill felt when you know you aren't safe, that danger lurks in your vicinity. He stood still as the crowds making their way towards the ceremony continued onwards around him. His stormy grey eyes trailing where the breeze originated, a mountain. A echoing thunder rolled from the cliffsides, as a storm began to brew upon it. Thomas felt a lump in his throat form, but his eyes stayed upon the mountain. This storm felt different, it felt more controlled rather than the wild power of a usual thunderstorm. It was alive. He took a deep breath, swearing under his breath at the ramifications of that. So a Thunder Light roamed these hills. Thomas smirked at that. They were said to be beautiful creatures to view in the flesh, and their rarity only added to the spectacle. As if capturing the storm in his eye, a spark seemed to flash within them. Thomas was always entranced by thunderstorms. His assurance for todays outcome began to grow, as a small trace of optimism began to emerge. He began to walk on. He then turned a corner, and it instantly disappeared. He'd accidentally bumped into someone, and it was then he was pulled from his childish joy and snapped back to reality. 'Perhaps I should have stayed home', he mused. Of course he would run into someone, literally. His stormy eyes pierced at the perpetrator, fully prepared to voice himself until he looked into the blue eyes of the girl before him. Regret immediately swelled within him, as his anger subsided and his expression softened. 'This girl looks utterly terrified', he thought. His mouth sat agape trying to find words or anything to say, but was at a loss for words. After a beat he seemed to regain his impassive expression, though his eyes held guilt. "I apologize, it was my bad", he said not really looking her in the eye.

Ember Lee Anders M: Jasper Harman Ember continued to smile and looked up and made eye contact with Jasper for a second or two. After listening to Jasper he nodded, lightly grabbed Jaspers hand, and headed to the Choosing Ceremony. He then realized he no longer felt queasy.., although he now felt quite hungry. His pace was brisk although he slowed down for a moment,"D-do you bu-bu mind if I hol-ld your hand.., or is it weird..? Sorry if it's weird!! I don't rea-ally get out that m-m-much.." Heather Ashlum - 16 - Female - Student Heather squinted her eyes for a moment then relaxed. Yawning she sat up and swung her legs over the side of the bed. Taking a moment, she remembered where she was and why. Excitment rose in her chest and she hurriedly got dressed and ready for the day. Today was the Choosing Ceremony. She was quite excited for it, but unsure of how it would all play out. Realizing she might be late, Heather dashed out of her room. A few other students were talking and she breathed a sigh of relief. It hadn't started yet. Taking brisk steps, she smoothly walked past the talking two. As she turned a corner she nearly ran into two more. Coming up short, she took a quick step back. A girl and a boy were standing there, the boy with his back to Heather. He said something about it being his fault and she realized he had run into the girl like she almost had. "Excuse me, but some of us have things to get to. Would you mind not standing in the middle of the hallway like that? Someone could get hurt." She said, feeling her muscles tense instinctively. Her eyes narrowed slightly but she forced them to be normal. . (Sorry for taking so long to post!)

Jeta Anderson | M: Thomas, Heather Jeta blushed as she turned around to face whoever had run into her. The boy was rather handsome. He looked like a storm trapped in a human body. This realization only made Jeta blush even more. The boy wouldn't meet Jeta's eye, which was fine by her. Jeta stared at the floor, trying to hide behind her hair. Then, she remembered her oath. She looked back up again, about to reply, when a girl walked up. The girl was also rather stunning. Red hair the color of fire. She seemed to have a temper that matched her hair. This was a girl Jeta wanted to avoid. Jeta looked back down at her feet, and the sneakers she wore. She took a deep breath, then began to speak. "Um. H-hi." She looked at the boy's feet. "It's alright. I should have been paying attention." Jeta was still terrified, but her voice was soft and sure. No longer stuttering, and held her slight accent. Jeta had picked up on the boy's accent, so at least she wasn't the only outsider here. Jeta's eyes moved from the boy's feet to the girl's knees, then back to her own feet. "Sorry, madam." It came out as a whisper.

Sky, Ms. Smith | 21 | F | Dragon Flying Trainer | M: Thomas, Heather, Jeta
Sky finished her breakfast and got up. Checking her watch she saw it was almost time for the choosing ceremony. I better check that all the kids actually make it she thought to herself. She headed over to the student dorms and found a group of kids just standing in the hall. "Why are you kids just standing around? The choosing ceremony starts soon." She gestured for them to follow saying, "This way."

Ember Lee Anders M: Jasper Harman Ember felt quite relieved when Jasper said it was fine to hold her hand, but was confused when she said people told her she was hard to get along with. She seemed quite nice, to him she seemed quite easy to get along with. As they continued walking he started to lose himself in his thoughts when Jasper spoke again. He listened then thought for a minute or two,"W-well I quite like drawing, I mean I-I'm not really good at drawing but I really like to! and I uh.. well I like to I mean I don't really know if it's a hobby but I like to collect buttons," his tone was full of energy and fairly loud but now it was softer,"M-m-my fami-ily is pretty ok-k-ka-ay I gues-ss.. My mo-other is the only family I kno-ow.." Oh god, Embers head was racing. Why'd he say that? He shouldn't have stuttered, why couldn't he have just said his family was awesome? He should have said that. He then realized his smile had faded. He then took a deep breath, just don't think about it. Don't think about it. It's fine, you're fine, well maybe not but it's fine. Ember then decided talking might distract him, unless he mess up and said something weird, or something offensive."So I uh, you said you liked to draw.., what kind of things do you like to draw, do you draw kindda cartoony or more realistic or something in between..?" He then stopped abruptly, realizing they were at the Choosing Ceremony.

Thomas Anvidir || M: Jeta, Heather, and Ms. Smith Thomas studied the nervous girl before him with a frown. She barely could meet his eye, and seemed to be blushing furiously... He assumed embarrassment, and honestly he understood why. He felt embarrassed by his carelessness. Still though, her nervous mannerisms made him uncomfortable. It made him want to say something optimistic to help raise her spirits, but Thomas was never good with pep talks nor hyping up peers. Matter of fact Thomas never really interacted much with people his age, let alone a girl. The sudden thought made him feel awkward. He remembered his godfather once telling him women were practically hardwired differently... What was he supposed to say? He was about to speak once more seeing as the girl started to pick her head up, but thankfully he gained more time to consider his options. Another girl joined the frey, her whole mannerisms a complete polar opposite of the nervous royal blue eyed girl. His frown deepened. The red head before him screamed of confidence, and strength. Her body posture was composed yet tense, it reminded him of his own besides her more dominate aura. He preferred to sulk around rather than announce himself. Once she spoke he raised a brow, as he immediately felt a slight challenge in her tense stance. His body grew tense in turn, his stormy grey eyes meeting the girl's blueish green orbs. He stayed quiet for a while until, merely observing the scene from the side till the shy girl spoke, addressing him. Her voice was shakey but he nodded in response, a small internal smirk growing from her obvious accent. He wasn't the only foreigner it seemed. The girl immediately began to retreat back into herself. He "hmmed" lowly to himself, before responding simply. "Do not worry about such things, we are both at fault". Turning to the red haired girl he was about to respond to her suggestion when a teacher spoke his thoughts for him. "I concur, let's get moving", he said without missing a beat. He nodded toward the girls, before turning from the group without saying a word and beginning to be on his way towards the ceremony, his mind reflecting upon those two girls. He only spoke a few words with them and already he understood what his Godfather taught him. Girls are weird. Edited at March 16, 2021 04:52 AM by Demonoid Phenomenon

Jeta Anderson | M: Thomas, Heather, Ms. Smith It looked as if the boy was about to say something, but a teacher cut him off. Jeta relaxed a bit. As far as people go, teachers aren't so bad. Jeta glanced up, catching the teacher's blue eyes for a moment, then looking at the floor again. "Yes, Madam." Then Jeta followed the teacher. It was rather awkward. Trying to stay with the group while not being a part of the group. Jeta found herself gravitating away from the red-haired girl, and towards the boy. Strange. Jeta had to consciously make the effort to walk near the teacher instead. What Jeta wouldn't do to get this all over with already. Once this was over, Jeta could spend all her time with her dragon, and never have to talk to anyone ever again. She will be more confident than even the red-haired girl, and she will look people in the eye for more than a second. When she gets a dragon, everything she had ever hoped for will come true. But, more importantly, when Jeta gets a dragon, she will finally have a real friend. Edited at March 16, 2021 08:18 AM by Wild Side
