Ember Lee Anders Ember's eyes were practically glued to the ground as usual so he shouldn't have been surprised when he bumped into someone, but none the less he was. He was frozen for a moment or two then glanced up and saw a tall girl. Before he knew what was happening the girl bowed and was talking. It took him a little to proceed what had happened but when he did he quickly bowed and responded."I uh bu I-I'm Ember?" He then began fiddling with his fingers. |

Ember Lee Anders Ember was quite nervous and continued fiddling with his fingers as the girl talked once more. Random thoughts were going in and out of his brain, socializing is hard, what have I gotten myself into, I should respond right? How do I socialize, oh goodness- how do I reply, should I have said my last name? Why couldn't he just think positive thoughts.. After a minute or so he finally managed to speak,"B-bu I.., it's nice to meet you Jas-s-sper." Small talk is scary, maybe he should ask about her hobbies or something? (You don't have to read/attempt to read what he said-) "Sodoyouhaveanypetsorhobbies,what'syourfavoritecolor?" he rambled out.. OhGod. Oh me oh my.. she's probably going to think I'm weird or messed up or something..- |

Ember Lee Anders When Jasper replied Ember stopped fiddling with his fingers for a moment or two as he was caught in his thoughts. Oh goodness.., she actually understood what I said. Most people look at me strange, walk away, or ask what I said when I talk like that- Huh. That's new- When Jasper said something about a shadow he was curious but not a second later when the shadow appeared his eyes went wide, he make a squeak like noise, and jumped back in fright. He. Was. Absolutely. Terrified. Of. That. Thing. |

Ember Lee Anders Ember stared at the shadow before it disappearing again, he was quite terrified but also ever so slightly curious about it. When Jasper said it often hides because it's scared he felt bad for jumping back. Just because something looks different doesn't mean you should fear it.. Then Jasper said it made her feel less alone.. Ember knew what it was like to be alone. He then fiddled with his fingers for a moment then touched her hand, he thought friends or people held hands but maybe they didn't.., were they friends, what do friends do? He then pushed his thoughts away and smiled,"Sorry for jumping, I bu-bu, we should probably go to the Choosing Ceremony, we don't want to be late." |

(Alina) Mrs. Timothy | M: Hatchlings Alina hurried around the room. The hatchlings were growing restless. They knew what was about to happen. Today was the Choosing Ceremony. Alina's busiest day of the year. Soon, the room will be full of students and teachers. The former hoping to find their partner, and the latter hoping to catch a glimpse. To be honest, Alina would much rather work with the students one on one, without a watchful crowd. Hatchlings imprint on the first thing they see. The last thing Alina needed was a hatchling imprinting on the wrong kid. Somehow, this had never happened before, but it was a reoccurring problem nonetheless. While everyone else went to breakfast, Alina did not. She slept, ate, and lived with the eggs, continuously caring for them however they needed. Soon, Alina's job will ease. She will care for any eggs left after the Ceremony, and wait for more dragons to lay their eggs. It was a simple life, but Alina wouldn't have it any other way. ~~~~ Jeta Anderson | M: Jasper, Ember Today was the day. Today, Jeta's new life started. Today, she would give up the shy, fearful kid she was, and become a strong, brave woman. Today, everything changed. And already, Jeta was failing. Two kids stood in the hallway, talking, and Jeta was peering around the corner, waiting for them to leave. So she wasn't ready yet. Whatever. When Jeta bonds with a dragon, she will be braver. She will be cocky, and perhaps overconfident. She won't peer around corners before she walks around them. And most importantly, she will have many kind, caring friends. |

Sky looked up as Saoirse came into the cafeteria. The woman normally overslept the choosing ceremony, but it looked like today she would actually be present. Thunder crashed in what less than an hour before had been clear skies. Indra was awake and he wanted everyone to know it. "I hear you," she said quietly under her breath like she did every time the wyvern made his presence known. She knew he could not hear her, but she liked to respond anyway. |
