The test doesn't even have to be something they got to choose whether they took or not! They may have been watched, among other people, and eventually all of those people were tested so they knew who would be best and then they were chosen like that! With no choice in the matter! :D

Ooo, I like that! Maybe they could do it old military style where the scientists came to their houses and told them they were needed for an experiment so they had a certain amount of time to pack then come? Would that work? They could even say they were sent by the government and if they didn't come it was punishable by law.

OooooI like that government idea! That could definitely work!! As for the diease, I know a surprising amount about diseases so if we want to narrow it down a bit more or work out the legistcs, I am super excited for that!

Okay so- Do you want the disease to spread when a person dies from the infection? Also is it fit for all of Earth's climates? If the powers are also connected to the diease, it will most likely be related to a fungal infection because of the mind that mushrooms all share.

Ooo, yes, it could spread when a person dies from the infection, and I think it should be fit for all Earth's climates, though it would probably spread/kill faster in colder climates.

Okay soooo, mushrooms stop growing at 55 degrees F, but the cold doesn't kill a lot of them. Some mushrooms that are better in cold climates than others are the velvet shank, elm mushrooms, and the oyster mushroom. I also found the name of the fungus/mushroom that takes over the minds of ants: Ophiocordyceps unilateralis fungus or simply Zombie Fungus.

Awesome, I just re-read my post and I actually meant to type that it would spread slower in cold climates, sorryyyy!!! I feel bad about that. I definitely think the Zombie Fungus would be cool, mixed with some chemicals so that it works on humans and just kills them.
