Oh! Some basic info I forgot to add! The specimen will all be ages 14-18 and have been in the lab for a while now (though I need to figure out how they got there...), and some may have formed a relationship with some of the scientists, making them more likely to side with them later on. The scientist will be the main antagonists, mostly seeking power, though it is possible that 1 or 2 actually end up caring for the kids and trying to help them. (Let's be honest though, those guys will probably die-)

Yeah no problem!! So is this going to be a virus kind of disease or more of a fungal infection?

Ah, see, something I still haven't figured out XD, I was thinking it would somehow tie into the specimens powers, like maybe whatever the scientists used to give them powers caused it or the accidentally caused it themselves, but fungle would probably be more accurate considering the fact that I was thinking the scientists were toying around with magical plants or something which is what gave the specimen powers in the first place. Ideas?

Oooooo! Okay okay okay- Have you guys played or seen gameplay of Resident Evil 7 and 8? Or maybe Hollow Knight?? Or heard of that real world fungus that takes over dead ants and make them act like zombies??? Soooo all of those feature a kind of fungus that takes over the mind or kills the host if you are looking for ideas!

I can think of multiple ways that they got there. - 1. They volunteered. 2. They involuntarily volunteered. (Aka an orphanage or their parents forced them to volunteer.) 3. They were picked from a test. 4. They were kidnapped. - If you need more ideas, I can most definitely come up with some. Lost Memories said: Oh! Some basic info I forgot to add! I will say that I have an idea of what the disease does. As I already stated, it spreads very quickly. However, there are no particular symptoms. One day you're fine, the next you're dead. It's so confusing to doctors because the only thing they find is that the brain simply shut off without warning, no physical injuries, internal bleeding, or even slight cold symptoms, just a dead brain. You never know when it's coming, masks don't stop it and quart teen doesn't stop. Even though the world is shut down it's still managing to spread. Again, I was thinking it could be linked to powers, but I think the sickness itself could spread through the ground or something?

Dete, I haven't, but that sounds awesome, actually! Overthink, I like the idea of them being picked for a test, and, of course, kidnapping is always an option. We love kidnapping XD
