I love the stock, but it couldn't be posted in an unaltered form, so I did a manipulation. It's my first try at one, don't hate on it ;-; I am open to any artists in this RP with constructive criticism, if you are so inclined.

This powerful-looking stallion stands at a solid 16 hands tall, making him a taller stature with a muscular build stretching up from his legs to the chest, to his upper body. His healthy Chestnut coat covers most of him, other than a thick blaze streaking down his face, and one-half sock on his back right leg. Running a hand over him, Riker’s coat would be smooth to the touch, though nearing his rump you will find a few minor scars from his days as a bachelor and from defending the herd. He currently has some wounds from his fight with the stallion that took over his herd, including a slight gash on the left side of his flank.
This stallion’s walk has also changed to an ever so slight limp, due to being a bit sore. His mane is quite thick, though on the shorter side, and is a dark brown that goes well with his coat. Riker’s tail is similar in color as well and sweeps almost all the way to the ground.
The eyes of this stallion are more boring compared to his many markings, they are just a dark brown color, but appear to have some depth upon closer inspection. Lighter-colored eyelashes frame his dark orbs and are not very visible unless you look closer. There are no markings around his eyes. He was built for speed over strength.
Personality:
This stallion had thrown himself a major pity party. He was down in the dumps, deep in the dumps. If you could even go that far, he was there. Moping about like a yearling that had just gotten in trouble, dragging his hooves and hanging his head. But something changed, maybe it was the faces of his herd mares, haunting his dreams, that finally convinced him to snap out of it. It could also be the taunts he imagined the new lead stallion mocking him with as he left his herd behind. Or maybe it was the words from a certain influential mare that echoed in his head. Yes, it was definitely that. But the former lead stallion was able to break his trance and day by day he became more determined to get his mare’s back. In total it took him a conversation with the Naxar herd's lead, and then the walk to get to the herd, to get over himself, while it seemed short, he was generally a focused horse, and very goal-oriented. Making him quite efficient with many tasks.
Loyalty is a big thing Riker values, that and trust. It was for those reasons that he ended up fleeing from the stallion he was fighting. Which sounds like quite the opposite thing to do, but not the way he saw it. This stallion is not a coward and was thinking of it from a logical perspective. If he would have continued to fight the larger stallion, it could have gone to the death. If he had been the one to die, who knows what would have happened to the herd? He left to stay alive so that he could come back and give his herd a chance to be free of that foul creature. He knew that the battle would be lost as it neared the end, instead of sacrificing himself on the spot and leaving the herd mares with no hope that they would be rescued from the new lead. Riker left to regain his strength and come back with more numbers so that he could successfully save his mares, and alert the other herd of the dangers they may face as well. Now of course Riker put up a fight, with his offspring being a large part of the herd, and not wanting his precious mares to fall victim to an unworthy stallion who had only recently waltzed into the area. But he was overpowered by the large brute.
This stallion was doing just fine fending off other bachelors and defending his herd, but he was not below asking for help in this time of need. So he both remains loyal to his herd, and trusts his mares, he just hopes they do the same and can see why he left. Normally he would have laid his life down for his herd, but in this situation, it’s better he is alive and can do something, than dead and useless, in his opinion.
Nervous, yes this stallion is nervous for his herd. He knows it’s filled with strong mares, and they can cope, but the former lead still has no idea what’s happening to them. He holds one mare in particular(which is to be determined) closer to his heart than some of the rest, and it hurts to know that she or the others may be under the unfair rule because he wasn't strong enough to protect him. Though now that the guilt train has entered the station, once he gets his herd back he will do anything to make it up to them. I mentioned his intelligence earlier, and it’s quite true, it also helps that this stallion is a patient creature. One that’s willing to bid his time until he can get in the best position to strike, and so he won’t jeopardize the mare's safety by jumping the gun. Recently Riker has also been less stubborn and more open to ideas. Previously you could only sway his opinion if you held a familial bond or were quite close, but now any idea is welcomed if it can get him closer to getting his herd back.
This stallion walks the line between social, and anti-social. At times he just wants to be alone or hold a small 1x1 conversation. While other times he is more friendly and open and will bounce around the herd to visit with various mares. He is not one to have a fiery temper, it can get a little snappy these days if you push his buttons, maybe even a little sarcastic. But that is rare for this stallion to show.
Crush: Miriam
Mate: Miriam has captured his heart <3
Riker still had children with the former lead mare, but never felt the spark he did with Miriam, it was lucky she felt similar. He still loves the children he had with her but is now fully devoted to Miriam. They have been together for two years and courted for two years.
