I come back to see a convo about abandoned children and it was hilarious to see. How would one go about making their wolves less asshole-y, perchance? They almost always ignore her.

Just some random child? I haven't seen that text yet. My wolves would probably try to eat it, though; they apparently consider the crying girl too annoying to help 4 times out of 5. XD

Basil

"I rather stick with flowers than politics. I already have to deal with enough snakes."

━━━━━━ • ✿ • ━━━━━━

"Are you a rose? Because you're the biggest prick here."

Name:
Basil

Gender:
Male

Age:
19

Pronouns:
He/Him

━━━━━━ • ✿ • ━━━━━━

"I love flowers way more than people."

Sexuality:
Bisexual Polyamorous

Significant Other(s):

Crush(s):
Open

Exes:
Open

━━━━━━ • ✿ • ━━━━━━

"I stuck around for the sake of the garden. As for the people, not so much."

Role:
Servant/Gardener

Kingdom:
Kingdom of Khaga

Loyalty Towards Them:
He has a strong sense of loyalty toward him-forming an unseen bond between him and the kingdom. The royal family took him in with open arms. As such, he devoted his life to the royal family and the gardens he worked hard to make beautiful.

━━━━━━ • ✿ • ━━━━━━

"Hmm, I'm curious what you look like in a flower crown. Maybe daises and lilies will suit you."

Apperance:
Basil's height is a bit below average, which is 5'6. The shape of his body is an hourglass-slim yet curvy. He has few muscles on his body, which is strange considering he has to carry heavy things around in the garden. His skin has been tanned over time in the gardens-with his skin soft to the touch. Basil's body is free of scars-the only scar is on his face. As for his hands, it's slightly roughened and not badly calloused as he takes care of them on a daily. Yes, he looks feminine, and it does draw attention, but he's quick to fix it. Beauty marks dot his body, the color of them a dark brown, but they're kinda hard to see due to his tanned skin.

His face is heart-shaped, with half of his face covered by his extended bangs. He has a beauty mark on his right cheekbone, another on the chin, and a slightly bigger one on his neck. Basil's hair is golden, not real gold, but a deep set of blonde. The length of his hair is medium and goes 6 inches past his shoulders. His bangs are longer and keep said bangs hovering on the left side of his face. tie it in a ponytail to keep it out of the way while he works. Now, for his eyes. Basil's eyes are rounded, with the color of his right eye an amber color. When the light hits his only amber eye, it'll take the color of honey. Lurking deep in his eyes is an endless amount of joy. When you don't see it, then something is wrong.

Voice:
The tone of voice can switch when it comes to certain people. He's loving and caring to those he cherishes. His voice would always hold warmth for his friends and loved ones. With his royal friends, he still shows manners in their presence, but his voice doesn't waver from its friendly tone. With strangers, Basil is shy and won't be the one to start a conversation. Once he knows someone better, he'll be more open to talking with them. His voice is a slightly higher pitch than the average man's. His voice sounds like an angel: softspoken and full of an endless amount of love.

Aroma:
His scent is always that of the outside like he's been rolling around in the field of flowers for hours. The man always smells sweet and fruity-joking that he was born with such smells and that his mother was a rose bush. He would never wear heavy odors like tobacco and sandalwood since Basil finds those scents a bit too strong for his nose. Oddly enough, he doesn't mind that smell when others wear it. Guess the many mixtures of scents on his body bothers him too much.

Visible Disabilities:
(1). He's blind in his left eye, so he keeps his bangs on the left side of his face to cover it. There's a scar of a slice wound over the left eye, yet Basil doesn't seem too bothered by it. When his hair is tied up, he'll wear a piece of cloth over his left eye.

Overall Attractiveness:
He's not handsome, but he's not ugly either. For a better word to describe him, he'll be considered pretty. His features are slightly more feminine with his gentle face. He has a rounded farcical structure, including the shape of his eyes. Other than that scar on the left side of his face, the rest of his body is free of any injuries.

━━━━━━ • ✿ • ━━━━━━

Personality:
Loving | Caring | Worrisome | Shy | Gentle | Easily Flustered | Playful | Protective | Plantsman | Loyal | Trustworthy | Forgetful | Emotional | Content

Greatest Strengths:
(1). Working in the royal garden increased the man's knowledge of herbology. He does dabble with poisons, but it's mostly to keep the pests out of the gardens. Basil never uses poison to kill people unless a situation requires it.

(2). Being around the royal siblings and soldiers taught him to read people's faces. He can tell what emotion their hiding in their eyes by a single glance or movement on their face. He can detect if one is fake smiling or is feeling sad about something.

(3). Basil can tell what plant is on its scent, but that doesn't mean he's completely accurate with it. Smell alone-Basil can tell if food or drink has been tampered with.

(4). A calming presence that can soothe anyone's nerves, even through stressful times. It's rare for someone to get mad at him, but that doesn't mean he's safe from a good scolding from older servants.

(5). Basil has a strong sense of humility and would never boast about his accomplishments. Instead, he's more interested in hearing the feats of others than his own but would shyly ask for a story.

Greatest Weaknesses:
(1). His forgetfulness, and oh boy, is his memory span bad. You could assign a tea date with him hours later, but he would still forget about it. Guess his mind is too focused on maintaining the garden than anyone else.

(2). Basil was never taught to read or write: lacking knowledge when it comes to literature. He would ask servants whom he's close with to read or write letters for him. He's currently learning to read and write but struggling.

(3). Yeah, to make this short, he can't swim. It's not that he's fearful of water. It's that he doesn't know how to swim.

(4). Weak in the arms, Basil can't carry heavy things well. He would ask those who can for assistance, but he'll struggle to get the first words out. The only thing he can wield is a bow and dagger.

(5). Hemophobia: the fear of blood. Seeing or smelling the sight of blood would make the poor man freeze in place. Basil doesn't know why he got this phobia. It's there, and he's suffering from it.

Accomplishments:
He restored the royal gardens to glory but never boasted about this accomplishment. Being allowed to work in the gardens is a reward enough for Basil.

━━━━━━ • ✿ • ━━━━━━

Birth Place:
Basil isn't born in any of three of the kingdoms-as he was born in the wilderness. He doesn't know where he was born but doesn't linger too much on the past.

Type of Childhood:
Confusing, to say the least, he doesn't remember much of his childhood, but Basil is sure that it was a good one.

Education:
He didn't get a good education. Now, he's being taught to read and write. Although, Basil is struggling and is not the teacher's favorite.

Religion:
What is religion?

━━━━━━ • ✿ • ━━━━━━

Current Location:
Kagha Kingdom

Currently Living With:
Open

Pets:
Basil has a simple workhorse, but he adores this beast to the very core. This was the first gift the young man got and he cherishes it like it's an ancient artifact. This horse isn't a warhorse, so it tends to get skittish when riding on the trails. The horse's name is Florian, who's the sweetest horse you have ever met. Guess Basil's personality rubbed off on the mount. The breed of horse is some sort of draft horse with stamina and strength being its bred ability.

Religion:
He still doesn't know what religion is.

Weapon:
Uh, a simple bow and dagger. Cheaply made, but it'll do the trick.

Hobbies:
(1). Gardening, that's why he's there. Oh, making flower accessories for his friends too.

(2). He keeps this to himself but makes and decorates his handkerchiefs. If he likes someone enough, he'll happily make a handkerchief personally for them.

Spending Habits:
Better than most. He would never spend it on just himself unless it's to buy himself a couple of treats from bakeries.

Drinks:
He's legally not allowed to drink. That's a big sin.

‘This is the unforgiving light of the morning, time to drop the illusion - daydreams can be dangerous.’
⋅⋅⋅
⋅ 19 ⋅ ♀ ⋅ Hetro/Curious ⋅ Maid/Servant ⋅ Kagha (Currently), Solaignes (Formerly) ⋅ Chaotic Good/Neutral ⋅

≿━━━━༺❂༻━━━━≾

⤜Appearance⤛

With a lithe and firm frame, she stands at below-average 5’2. Her body has a more athletic build than muscular, a physique more built for endurance and sheer practicality than direct combat and showmanship, with most of her muscle more subtle and understated. She does have a little pregnancy fat leftover, mostly concentrated around her abdomen and hips. Bells always had soft curves, but she was never particularly gifted in the bust department, though since the birth of her daughter her breasts have swelled to be more proportionate to the rest of her body and gained a bit of a natural sag to them.

Bells has a light-medium olive complexion with skin that is, for the most part, surprisingly soft. She has more than her fair share of general scars, being just about covered in the things to the point she doesn't really notice them much anymore. And let’s not even begin to mention the stretch marks. THEY. ARE. EVERYWHERE. EVERYWHERE. Something a bit more of note though is that her hands and forearms are littered with minor burn scars, mostly caused by candles and matches. Most have faded back into the skin and are barely noticeable, but she does have a handful or two of ones that are only a couple months old, still pinkish and raw, and even a couple that would only be fairly recent, maybe a week or so old, that are an angry red and a little scabbed over.

She has an oval-shaped face with defined cheekbones that aren't too prominent, she’s still yet to lose all her ‘baby fat’. Her up-turned almond eyes are a tad on the smaller side and a bit too far apart. Once affectionately described as ‘bog green’ in color by a potential suitor, they’re flecked with brown and gold and appear to have almost a yellowish tinge to the iris. She has a cute little button nose with a healthy amount of brown freckles dust the tip and extend to the tips of her cheeks before gradually fading off, some more noticeable than others. Her jaw is a bit on the stronger side of average but otherwise unremarkable. Her lips are a soft rose color, and while certainly plump and by no means thin, they’re nothing too far from the norm. Thick, tousled ‘well-cooked-if-not-slightly-burnt’ caramel color curls fall to just below the small of her back. She wears her hair pulled back from her face in various half-up styles, though nothing too fancy. Her hair is braided at seemingly random intervals with beads and feathers, and flower crowns and daisy chains are an absolute yes. For more formal/religious occasions she’ll wear it piled high on top of her head, stuffed with all manner of things to make it appear even taller - after all, the higher the hair, the closer to God.

Bells’ body is a canvas, from harsh diagonal lines across her shoulders to where swirls taper around her ankles. She’s always painted, usually in some shade of green, white, or grey. So few people have seen her without her war paint most think it’s all tattooed on. Though how she paints her body might be an ever-changing work of art, Bells still does her face the same way she did when she was a young girl;
A solid line from the middle of her lower lip straight down to her chin, a slightly curved one spans from just below temple to temple, thick across her cheekbones before thinning over the bridge over her nose. A near-identical line follows not far below it, though this one tapers off halfway across her cheek, about in line with her pupils. In the center of her forehead is a small, crude rendition of a sun and the dark powder that’s smeared across her eyes Is smudged up over her brow to act as stylized shadows.

Clothing-wise, a casual, around-the-house sort of outfit for Bells would be something like a vintage-style corset camisole, her shoulders covered with a thining wool shawl to offer some semblance of modesty, paired high-waisted gypsy-style skirt loosely tied around her waist that’s so ripped and frayed at the bottom it’s gone from full length to ¾ and held up mostly by a double buckle leather waist belt. For anything more formal she usually wears loose, flowing, rather plain cotton dresses that fall to her ankles, with long ¾ or full sleeves - think 70’s cultist/60’s free love hippy.

Over the top, she layers heavily with furs if the weather calls for it, usually a heavy caribou hide cloak and a thick wool-lined hooded coat for the most part. If the ground is covered in snow or freezing morning dew then she’ll wear a worn pair of fur-lined leather lace-up boots, otherwise, she opts to go bare-foot. If she has Soleil with her the infant will either be tightly nestled into her chest in a cloth sling or strapped to her back in a cradleboard-like device.

As far as jewelry, she has a pair of ratty feather earrings, a handful of slightly bent bangles, and a small assortment of tarnished rings that adorn her fingers. Around her neck, she wears a jagged piece of granite that's a bit too big to be worn like this on a thick leather cord, a piece of Sundance. Though not near big or heavy enough to be a proper bludging rock, it still has enough heft to do some decent damage if you hurled it at someone’s head hard enough. Not that she would know or anything...

⤜Personality⤛

Definitely a more timid and quiet soul, Bells isn’t much of a conversationalist. Much more content to sit there and be talked at, getting anything more than a clipped couple-word response out of her is like pulling teeth. She’s more comfortable and opens up a bit more with people she feels at ease with, but still, the only time she’ll really full-on participates in a conversation is when she’s bombarding and/or pestering you with a series of mostly asinine questions about how things work and why. And yet Bells is one of those people who loathe to be alone. When she’s alone she feels smothered and restless, trapped almost, like a rat in a cage just mindlessly pacing. She’s so dependent on being around others that many would consider her weirdly clingy, especially with those she considers ‘hers’. Did I mention she also has a bit of a possessive/jealous streak to her?

Understand that with Bells, well, you wouldn’t be too far off to assume she’s a few cards short of a deck. She spends most of her time living in her head, staring blankly off at nothing. Even when she’s in the real world she’s still living in a daydream of her own design, seeing everything with rose-tinted eyes like she’s straight out of some family sitcom. Bells lives in a fantasy world, one where everything is perfect and happy, where she is loved and her vulnerable ego is not threatened by mockery, abuse, and insults. The way she speaks and describes things is, much like her general motivations, done in such a way and out of a desire to protect the purity and sanctity of this fantasy world from disruptive or otherwise dissenting influences. You either play along, or you don’t exist.

Child at heart describes Bells to a tee, so chock full of energy, positivity, and excitement that all but the wildest children have trouble keeping up with her at times. Though those who aren’t fond of children probably won’t be all that fond of Bells either. She is extremely and easily excitable, and most of the time it’s over things that most people might overlook but are super big deals to her, like a shiny rock, any hole that’s ever existed ever, or big sticks. Always eager to learn and if you’re willing to put up with the seemingly neverending questions and teach her something, you'll find you have the most curious and attentive pupil one could ask for. She’s very open and easily trusting of people, perhaps too easily, and will take their intentions at face value, which, with her general naivete and lack of knowledge about the world or how it works, has her, unfortunately, being taken advantage of or led down a more unsavory path without her realizing it more often than not. Even though she was married and does have a child, there’s still this air of innocence about her, that anything remotely raunchy or slightly suggestive will have her blushing bright red and hiding behind her hair.

However, Bells is pretty laid back when it comes to spending time with people, for the most part. She’s just happy to be spending time with you and is down for whatever. She always wants whatever you want. If you ask her to pick something she’ll pick what she thinks you’ll like the most, if you ask for her opinion on something she’ll just parrot back what she thinks you want to hear. She doesn't do it out of malicious intent or anything, she’s just a people pleaser - someone who lives to serve, always trying to keep everyone happy, which can be an exhausting task. So desperate for praise and approval, especially from those older, with some level of influence, authority, or power over her - almost like she sees them as de facto paternal or maternal figures. It absolutely crushes her to even think of invoking their disapproval, or disappointing them, though really she doesn't want to disappoint anyone, and she’ll go to whatever means necessary to avoid it, even at great personal cost to herself.

Elaborating from earlier, Bells has a bit of a perverted sense of what love is and how to express it. She’s very much a ‘Disney Romantic’, with a fanciful, impractical, and unrealistic idea of romance, dominated by idealism and the idolization of some Prince (or Princess, she’s open to anything) Charming who is going to come sweep her off her feet and away to a happily ever after. This mindset extends to her platonic relationships too. She can’t stand the idea of having to fight for affection and anyone who takes their attention from her is accused of obviously trying to get in the way and ruin her happily ever after, never mind the fact that who exactly Charming is changes like the wind, and is immediately labeled public enemy number one. It’s a similar thing with people who rebuff her romantically and platonically - clearly, the problem is with them, not her.

So, with how this all sounds one might say Bells has no real personality of her own, and they’d be right, in a sense, she doesn’t. Bells is one of those people who are far too nice for their own good, who don’t understand that good isn’t always nice. Always eager to agree, ready to conform to whatever’s needed, even if it’s fundamentally not her. Anything to keep the peace instead of facing the tough realization that sometimes a fight needs to happen, so adverse to the idea of conflict she won’t even try to save her own skin.

She’s not exactly stupid though. Bells is… aware, or at least there is a part of her that is aware, you could say, of how people see her and how she uses it to her benefit, inadvertently or otherwise. People see what they want to see, a little girl with childish thoughts - sweet, innocent little Adora-Belle, little more than a delicate flower. Now that’s not to say that isn’t true, that they don’t underestimate her, you could say, without any merit, but it's certainly easier to disregard a child, to ignore her, to forget she’s there, especially when there’s a bigger picture at play. Which puts her in the unique, coveted position of being able to walk right over everyone, everything she wants just handed to her - practically getting away with murder. And no one can call her out on it, because who would believe them? She’s just sweet, innocent little Adora-Belle.

⤜Kinship⤛

Sundance/Nieve ⋅ “Mother” ⋅ It’s Complicated

While Bells has never actually seen her mother, her father has told her plenty about her. Her name is Nieve, and she’s one of the ancient guardian nymphs of the Sundance Mountain. He spoke of how she was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen, with pale red hair, and vibrant gray eyes, and would lament the last time he saw her, the night of a full moon on which Bells was born - a most inauspicious sign for a girl according to him.

As the story goes, he went to bed with his love after a night of passion only to be awoken in the early hours of the morning by the shrill cries of a babe, and there, swaddled atop a bed of roses, he found sweet Adora-belle. He said no matter how much she squirmed the thorns of the rose bush didn’t leave so much as a mark on her skin, that’s how he knew the bush was his maiden.

Her father would seclude himself for months on end with her mother, trying to lure his love to return to her human form. And Bells helped tend to her every day when she was allowed, curling up beside it with her father when she went to sleep at night. All in the hopes that she might catch a glimpse of her mother.

Though on the outside Bells seems pretty devoted to the whole ‘mother is a nymph’ thing, it’s unclear how much she actually buys into it. The people of Sundance are a very superstitious kind by nature, but surely by this point, some part of her has to be a little skeptical or at least know something doesn't quite add up here.

Sundance Clair-Josué ⋅ Father ⋅ Deceased

Sundance Clair-Josué was a martial legend, one of the greatest commanders the Solaignes had ever seen. He worked his way up from nothing to distinguish himself, becoming best known for his unpredictable, erratic battle strategies that often gave him the upper hand. Above all else, Clair was a man of honor, and it disgusted him to no end that Bells was born a bastard, so he challenged the then-sitting Sun-Father for the right to make his union with Nieve binding in the glorious light of Divine Soliliv. Clair won, and as Sun-Father he lead Sundance into a period of prosperity and cultural innovation, being one of their longest sitting rulers, holding the Sun-Throne for eighteen years before his untimely death when he tried to unleash his soul’s incandescence and ascend to become the foretold second sun.

He and Bells never really had much of a relationship. When she was younger he was always off commanding armies or sequestered away with her mother, and once he became Sun-Father he was far too busy to have much time for her, something he later lamented. Really he only started paying attention to Bells and trying to fix things when she ran off with Anatole. Still, if you asked her, Bells would say she loves her father and misses him dearly, even with all the flaws in their relationship.

Beartooth Anatole-Soleil ‘the Cyclops’ ⋅ Husband ⋅ Unknown

Bells and Anatole…well, let’s just say no one expected that relationship to begin with, much less that it would last. But it did, sort of. Even though they were married for less than a year, Bells would say it was fairly happy.

Bells ran off with Anatole a few months before her eighteenth birthday when she was deep in a rebellious phase. He was a mercenary from lowly Beartooth, certainly not fit for a woman of Sundance, and Clair made his contempt for the relationship evident from the beginning. He humored it at first, hoping eventually Bells would come to her senses and return on her own accord, but once he heard she was with child he marched on Beartooth and dragged her back home himself.

In retaliation, Anatole began to sow dissent and recruited some of Clair’s closest advisors in an attempt to undermine his rule, hoping to claim the Sun-Throne for himself but being to cowardly to challenge Clair directly. Bells might’ve helped him, if only to get back at her father for breaking them up, had she not been immediately locked away in the top of a tower like some fairytale princess the moment Clair heard the beginning whispers of dissent.

Bells isn’t too clear on what happened next. Anatole and his sympathizers were forced out of Sundance, and she knows there was a fight of some kind, but after that nothing. Bells hasn’t heard a word, not so much as a vague rumor through the grapevine, about what happened to Anatole and those who left with him. But with everything that’s happened and the current state of things back home, he is most likely dead, or at the very least she won’t be seeing him again.

‘Soleil’ ⋅ Daughter ⋅ Alive

A sweet babe of about 8 months who is as yet unnamed. It’s a tradition among the Solaignes not to give a child a proper name until they reach the age of 3 and undergo the Baptism of Light. Instead, she’s affectionately referred to as Soleil, in honor of her father.

⤜Crush⤛

Before she was married (and even occasionally after), Bells would fall completely head over heels for anyone who said so much as two kind words to her.

⤜Affiliations/Relationships⤛

Open for discussion.

≿━━━━༺❂༻━━━━≾

⤜Backstory⤛

Bells hails from a distant land known as Solaignes. It’s not a kingdom per se, more so a group of unaffiliated mountain tribes, known as Solaigne, who share a broadly similar culture and religion. It’s definitely more uncivilized than what you’d find anywhere near Edyss. Don’t expect Bells to be able to tell you where exactly Solaignes is, she’s only seen a map, like, twice and jumped on the first ship out of there.

Sundance, the particular Solaigne Bells originates from, is currently in the middle of a succession crisis after the death of her father. The Solaignes don’t believe in divine right or anything of that sort that might be common in the succession of other kingdoms. They’re more mandate of heaven types - believing strength and martial prowess to be the core values of a proficient leader, known as The Sun-Father. Key to that is the right of rebellion - that anyone can challenge a sitting Sun-Father to usurp the right to sit on the Sun-Throne. This has left Sundance with a new Sun-Father every other day just about, and the place has been thrown into turmoil. It also goes without saying, even though they might not believe in it, it certainly would hurt a prospective Sun-Father to be married to a relative of his established predecessor.

So to avoid being married off to whatever brute manages to come ‘claim’ her, among other reasons, Bells decided to leave. So now it’s just her, Soleil, and Nieve, fresh off the boat in Kagha looking to try and make a new life for themselves. And things have been going… well, about as can be expected, though she does miss the mountains, the sun just doesn’t feel the same down here.

I probably left out some details of this guy in his personality. He's, well, interesting xD I wanted to stick him here because I'm putting the servant in this post as well, and figured I might as well have him up. It's been a really weird day, but I got him done in an hour and a half. So... take that, day.

Kagha Talmeren
"Yes, I was named after the country, genius."

Twenty-four | Male | Unlabeled Interests | Knight in Kagha

Inspiration:

The Hound, Game of Thrones (personality-ish)

Snow White? (appearance)

Some guy I met yesterday with the eyes-

Appearance:

"I cannot be what I seem."

If you were thinking that a man named Kagha, living in the Kingdom of Kagha, perfectly represents Kagha, you'd probably be wrong. If anything, Ka looks like a man from the former Kingdom of Frain. His skin is as pale as the white winter snow, his hair even paler. Many times, people have considered his trimmed, messy hair to be the same white color as the Goldcliffs; in the sun, it even reflects at people, for a moment- just a moment- making him seem like it's made of gold. He has often wondered how truly Kaghan he is- his eyes, were they not heterochromatic, would be a faded sky blue, as stark as the rest of his face. Alas, only one is. The other, right, what he calls his "marksman's eye", is a deep brown so dark that it nearly seems black.

It would be a shock, to see Ka for the very first time. His color never changes; he doesn't blush, and his lips, thin as they are, are only slightly less pale than the rest of him. Only the faintest of coloration shows through, and it's a barely noticeable rouge that showcases in his hands, feet, and cheeks.

His face is angular, diamond-shaped and still somehow beautiful. He has a pointed chin that barely sticks out from his face and a straight, slender nose, as if his nose was the most intriguing feature he had. With eyebrows that gently arc over his almond-shaped eyes and ever so slightly pointed ears, it would be easy to just deem this man attractive, in some sense. High cheekbones seem to make his face look thin, but not sallow, as if attempting not to interfere with his overall appearance.

Ka has somewhat of a trapezoid body shape, with shoulders more broad then his waist, albeit not by much. At six feet, broad shoulders doesn't make much of a difference. Though he has muscle from his many years of training and sparring, it shows through in a lean way, despite still being visibly apparent. It would be unwise to mess with a man who, when he looks at you, looks as if he wants to murder you, and probably could. His gaze is always a difficult one to hold; he stares people down, and he doesn't look from their gaze. To him, there's an alpha system: if you're ranked higher than him, he'll only stare at you as long as he knows it's appropriate. If you're equals or lower, don't dare challenge the alpha mindset. You'll be in for a long day of watching the man.

Scars:

Ka has many, despite his youth. Namely, there is a claw scar over the majority of his right shoulder and chest- acquired by fighting something, though no one has exactly figured out what. Ones that look as if they were lashed on riddle his back, though faded and healed long ago. Teeth marks show the time that he had something try to bite off his hands, and another marks his left leg where he was forced to splint a bone. None of these are particularly noticeable, really; his whole body is covered in light armor, all the time. The only one that shows runs diagonally across his mouth- a line of three, fairly fresh, and if asked? He'll say nothing of them.

Personality:

"I was born to serve my kingdom for one purpose, and that is to kill."

Ka is... complicated. He has an excruciating personal struggle involving his family and kingdom, and will let no one help, because good knights need no one to baby them. In a way, he is extremely prideful; he believes that he is the only one who can help himself, mostly because as of late, this has been completely true. He is reserved, to a point that if someone were to walk up to him and try to start a conversation, he'd say something vaguely along the lines of "if you're going to make the effort to walk over here and say hello, make an effort to walk to the Commander and ask to fight." He can be standoffish and rather rude, but he doesn't care- it's a knighthood, not a dinner party. He doesn't need to be polite.

Really, though, Ka gets... lonely. Really lonely. He refuses to acknowledge this, often letting his emotions getting the better of him and letting himself in situations he... wasn't quite proud of, but acknowledges it anyways. To subconsciously avoid this, he seems to follow the will of his namesake clearly, if not with personal alteration to their rules, as he sees no issue with what is ordered by the Kingdom of Kagha. If they asked him to quell a rebellion, he would. He is surprisingly self-confident; anyone mentions anything about him, he'll ask "what of it?" or answer with a snap, depending on the person and circumstances.

He gets annoyed easily, preferring people just shut it in his prescence and leave him be. And Ka is a very driven, motivated person- left alone, he can accomplish anything he tries to do, so long as it belongs to his arsenal of war thoughts. His emotions hardly ever deter his drive; they will as long as he's angry, but if he was sad (which is, admittedly, extremely rare), or joyous (even rarer), or loving (...), he would still be able to function as a war machine, still be able to kill who he wants to, save who he wants to. It's just part of his steel resolve, and it's always been that way.

Were you to get to know Ka personally, or intimately, he's mostly the same. A man with little morals who always vaguely follows the orders set by his kingdom, and will gladly send away anyone who dares to attempt conversation. The only change would be the reduce in insults- he would be less strict, and decidedly less cruel, and, if he really cared for you, would save you if need be. Not that it would ever come to that. Ka doesn't... make friends. He fought his way to the position of knight by fighting others, not by teaming up with others. He won his position by being good, not by being a comrade.

Though, he certainly wouldn't kill comrades.

Strengths:

To be added; not part of the original form

Weaknesses:

To be added; not part of the original form

Weapons:

"It is better to be overprotected than not to be at all."

Ka has a bow constantly strapped to his back, and a quiver of arrows tied similarly. He may not be as skilled as the folk that reside in Orin, but he knows how to use one, and always keeps it with him.

He has twin blades, similar to the typical sword and slightly curved, that adorn his side as one. He knows how to use these; he won't spare anyone from feeling his wrath with them, should he need to, and won't explain how he uses them. He refuses to explain them.

A single dagger is sheathed in each boot- this is less for the purpose of fighting, and more for the purpose of intimidation, should anyone need him to seek out someone that breaks the law or someone who needs roughing up.

History:

You really don't want to know...

But if you do, feel free to PM me. He's got quite some mental torment.

Other:

Ka has a horse. Iconically, he named the black stallion to be Orin. Isn't it funny how some things work like that? He figured he'd mess with the kingdoms by Kagha and Orin being stationed at the very same border.

Arisse Karyille
"Who do you believe me to be?"
Eighteen | Female | Hetero | Servant in Orin - ye that boasts the mark of the order... - | [ Are-ees Car-eel ]

Inspiration:

I kept thinking of Mantis. Marvel Mantis. Yep. Appearance? Just inspiration, though.

Arya Stark, Game of Thrones (personality) >:D

Appearance:

Perhaps it would be best to describe this so-called woman as a woodland spirit, as strange as she happens to be. Her hair, black as night, frames a bronze, sun-tanned face- one that has clearly communed with the forest's wonders in the past. This seems to be something normal for people she has met in servitude; they have gotten sun, much more than the average lord does on a typical day. Similarly, she, too, has gotten a generous amount of sunlight. Her skin seems to absorb it, making her ever darker the longer she stays outdoors. She doesn't mind being that way, it makes her change colors, making claims to belonging formerly to one or another kingdom void in their entirety.

It's not her overall appearance that makes her seem woodsy, even if that does assist in the process. It's her eyes- a striking, infinite green, like the leaves you see on trees, or the emerald vines that grow around her home. They would likely be more normal for a person with a different appearance, but for her, dark and untamed, it seems almost... uncharacteristic. That and her height. Rather than towering over others, as she would very much like to do, she stands just above sixty-three inches, hunched, as if she knows she wouldn't get any taller, and she knows exactly where her place in the world is- to be a servant, scrubbing the floors of some high-end lord she never cared for anyways.

Her face is somewhat of a rounded diamond- it would, typically, be closer to an oval, but having as little food as a servant would, has taken a shape that mimicks that of a diamond, cheekbones seeming to protrude from her face in an... unhealthy way. Her nose is thin, and hardly sticks out, though is well-defined and gently sloped. Matching her face are her upturned eyes with thick, black lashes, and eyebrows that are arched- not so much in a disappointing way, just... strange. Unusual.

Ari's face is graceful. Her movements are graceful. Her body, in general, is just graceful. She doesn't know why she is so, but she knows she is, and will use her slender, hourglass frame to seduce anyone who would, otherwise, try to kill her in cold blood. If you look at her, she can stand both like a Servant and a Lady, and equally acts as both, sometimes.

Attire:

When around her Lord and his Lady, she wears their traditional servant garb, head bowed, arms clasped behind her back. For women, it's a dress that goes from neck to feet, hanging slightly lower in the back. It's somewhat of a suit- it ends where cuffs would, though is tailored to perfectly fit their skin, ending easily near the wrists. The dresses are a deep, rich blue, found in paste made from a fairly common plant, but still a dark enough shade to profess riches. It is decorated with bits of undyed fabric- to match the house's insignia and colors- and two white cuffs that pin on the dress, a mark of servitude. Black boots finish the look, dotted with white tips- another mark of wealth but bondage.

Outside of her Lord's home, even if it isn't often, she wears a lightweat dress in the colors of the forest, one that could be called "showy" for going just below her knees. Flower patterns in all colors go across it- she doesn't particularly care for them (too assuming, she says), but her mother insisted- they are faded, but in all colors, and wildly... lavish, for someone of her "class". To compensate for the daring amount of legs shown, Ari wears high, black boots that nearly go up to her knees, covering the majority of exposure. Black gloves are donned on her hands, and her hair is made to be fancy. It's uncharacteristic of her, but lets her live two lives.

Personality:

If anyone was meant to specifically not be a maidservant, it's Ari. It's not that she's prideful. She really isn't. It's that she's so... daring. She lives her life with two faces, and somehow manages to pull of both with ease. Neither is her true face, for does Arisse Karyille have a face? Perhaps another, of that same name, belongs to one who's pale. Perhaps the face is copied, but not the name. This is how she sees it. She is not simply "Arisse." She is Ari, she is Arisse, Kary, and Ryi, and many other names, much of which do not come from that she was given.

In order to stay the way she is, she needs to be both silent and noticeable. And she is. Ari is a spitfire of a woman; no one can tell her what to do, no one can pretend they know who she is and what she stands for. She makes them believe she came from a land taken by the Empire as a Lady in court, but is she, truly? She stands out, despite likely never having been a person who was supposed to. "It is a woman who made herself be," they would say. "A woman who fights to be where she is and is as deadly as a thorn in a court of roses." Because Ari is so obvious, and so busy with ruling her house, there is no possible way she could be part of what she is, yes?

Arisse is a timid woman, tired, so tired, and never willing to look someone- anyone- in the eye. She has to force herself not to yawn when her Lord calls, as she knows the punishment for not showing up how a servant should. She flinches at the slightest hint of a physical motion, and scurries away when the members of the house walk by, so as not to get hit with a shoe. She is timid. She is vulnerable. Is she weak? Perhaps she believes herself to be so, or perhaps others do. Perhaps, in truth, she wants others to think she is, and yet, her mind is as steely as a well-crafted sword. But do you believe it?

They are both solitary, unmistakable and yet so different, both preferring their own company to others' out of the danger to their own and others' wellbeing, and yet... she does like people. She misses them, sometimes. Wishes that she were more like them, or they were more like her, a very unlikely thing to be. She loves Orin, and her home, and fighting for a cause that is completely just. Fighting for something feels, to her, as if it were... freeing. As if she could live a whole life off of just fighting for something, needing no other sustenance. As if she could find her place amongst those like her.

Strengths:

Apart from the original form. TBD.

Weaknesses:

Apart from the original form. TBD.

Equipment:

TBD, I'm tired--

History:

A girl has no name.

A girl is no one.

Other:

I have to say it xD I basically put histories there for taunts. Of course, they do both have histories... just, y'now, it keeps ya guessing~

Randolph Cornelius Thezmaer

Age

53 years

Gender

Male

Sexuality

Heterosexual

Role

King

Kingdom

Orin

Appearance

He has rugged good looks. His skin is naturally light, but he keeps it a nice tan, since he is frequently outside sparring or being active. He has strawberry blond hair sprinkled with gray hair especially around the side of his head. He keeps his hair long enough to need a quick brush, but it's still pretty low maintenance. It's shorter on the sides and longer on the top. It's brushed in a way to hide the thinner hair on top. The gray hair is not too noticeable, since he doesn't have dark hair. The hair on the top of his head is thinner, but the hair around his head is thicker. He keeps a short neat beard that has even more gray hair than his head.

He has angular facial features. His eyes are shadowed by protruding brows. He has thick bushy brown eyebrows. His eyes are a medium blue. Often they look gray, because they are shadowed by his brows. However, up close and in the sunlight they are clearly blue. At the corners of his eyes are crows feet. He has smile wrinkles coming down from his mouth. His forehead is wide and has wrinkles from where he has frowned or scowled. He has medium sized lips. The bottom lip is more full than the top lip. His ears are rather large and droopy. He has a large aquiline nose. His nostrils are rather large, and his nose is long.

His build is muscular and athletic. He has broad shoulders which taper to a narrow waist. He stands at 6' 1." He has long rope muscular arms. They aren't huge and thick, but it's obvious he is active. He prefers to wear simple clothing that is loose, but tight fitting enough to have no excess fabric waving around. He doesn't want his apparel to get in his way. He has many scars on his hands. He has one large raised scar on his right thigh. He has one slashed through his left eyebrow, and he has a nick in his left earlobe.

Personality

He says what he means. He doesn't believe in beating around the bush. It causes miscommunication, it's not as effective, and it takes more effort. He isn't the most socially aware guy, which could be another reason why he is so blunt. He can be offensive and harsh, but he doesn't care. He's not easily scared. Facing pain and death like a coward and losing face would hurt him more. He doesn't spend a lot of time worrying. If it happens it will happen. Worrying won't make a difference.

However, he does have foresight. He is looking forward and trying to be prepared. He's not the most creative or innovative guy, but he prides himself on his common sense. His feelings aren't easily hurt. It seems to roll off his back. Many would be intimidated to state their real opinion about what he should do, because his way is the only right way. He is very stubborn. He has a tendency to roll over them by talking louder than them and telling them that their way is stupid.

He's also not big into letting someone insult him. He has always been one of the best fighters in the room, so he isn't afraid to threaten someone or punish them personally for their words. He can strike up a conversation with anyone. Once he starts talking, people don't mind responding. He is good at pulling people out of their shell. He always seems confident and comfortable. He is able to laugh off a social gaffe instead of dwelling on it and feeling super awkward.

He tends to be pretty relaxed about protocol. He doesn't mind someone not following protocol exactly as long as he knows they aren't trying to be purposefully rude. He is arrogant. After all, he did beat all of his family members to get here. He was never ashamed of his appearance, and often tries to get people to admire him. He believes he has a lot of common sense, although he's not the brightest when it comes to book smart. He has enough education that he is able to work out trade agreements and budgets. He always had a knack for war strategies.

Skills

He is well trained in close up combat, and with a recurve bow. He wouldn't be able to compete as one of the best with a bow, but in the prime of his life he could claim to be one of the best daggersmen in the kingdom. He has slowed down some, but he is still very fierce.
