『 Thalia Ito 』 21 years || Female || Unlabeled Mercenary and Knight of Edyss ➼ Visiting Dutchess of a foreign nation for the Masquerade Kingdom: Empire of Edyss, but from the "foreign lands of Malva, across the sea from the Empire" Appearance: Quinn is about average height, standing at an even 5'6". Her weight is somewhat average as well, weighing in around 135 lbs. Her figure is curved and rather feminine for a mercenary like her, though she is rather strong. Now she isn't noticeably bulky, her muscules are rather subtle, in her arms, legs, and torso. Nor does she have defined abs, rather just a flat stomach. She has trained as a Knight in the Empire of Edyss, which has allowed her to strengthen and grow in other skills such as the use of knives and swords. Now her skin tone has warm undertones, and the color is overall is considered to be golden. With this being said her color is noticeably darker than most and allowing her to easily tan in the summer. Her skin itself is rather smooth, though she does have light acne scars around her temples and sides of her forehead, though it is mostly the coloring and not deep markings. It is normally covered by her hair or makeup. Quinn's face is more of a diamond shape, with higher cheekbones and a defined jaw. Across her nose and upper cheeks are a splash of freckles, which can be seen the closer you stand. This female's facial features are rather eye-catching, with her upturned full lips, and natural beige color to match her skin tone. Her cupid's bow is softly defined, and her upper lip is slightly thinner than her bottom. Now her nose is rather small, though not unnatural, she has a little button-shaped nose. Her other facial features include soft angled eyebrows, colored a dark brown like her hair, and long dark lashes, simply to die for. This female's eyes are quite stunning as well, a dark shade of brown, similar to chocolate. Onto her hair, which is by far her favorite feature. Quinn's hair is a bit on the thicker side and is a very dark brown. It could be thought of as the darkest shade of brown without being black. Its length is long, falling down to end past her shoulder blade, however, when her hair is straightened it can be rather long, ending past the middle of her back. Her natural hair is defined waves, not quite spiral curls, but not limp waves either, it's more of a mixture between the two, though appears more like curls. Quinn's hair is parted similar to a middle part, though is not just a straight line, it is parted rather "rough". She normally likes to wear her hair down, though for riding it will be pulled back into a low bun. Personality: Two Personalities. Dutches of Malva and Mercenary of Edyss. Thalia leads a double life, this female can be graceful, elegant, even regal, or she can be calculating and deadly. During her training as a squire, she was taken under the wing of one of the head Knights. It was an honor and a privilege, but she suffered. In a moment of weakness at the beginning of her training, she was taken advantage of, but there was nothing she could do but remain silent. This pent-up anxiety, fear, and anger needed to go somewhere. And it did. Straight into the heart of the Knight she was a squire for. She hid the murder well and covered her tracks, Thalia was a natural. After completing her training she began to rise in the ranks, and earned her own title of Knight, she was finally equal with the others. But Thalia wanted more. She was ambitious though she had already accomplished much with there being few female knights in the empire. She accepted her current task, given to her straight from the Empire, and will carry it out. Nothing can stop her. Not even death. Her loyalty is great, but her ambition is greater. If you cant serve her needs she can easily leave, if she is offered a greater position of power somewhere else, double your's or she's gone. Thalia is a quick, agile being, not only in training and in battle, but quick to think and to come up with new ideas in the moment. A plan of hers fails? Don't worry she already thought of another. Her socialization skills are perfected, she knows what to say and when to say it, she can read others with accuracy, and while she can't predict what they say she can come up with a response just as fast. She knows her cover story well, she has spent weeks learning and memorizing it. She won't falter. Her speaking skills are eloquent and clear, she is regal and she is precise. Thalia's words are so carefully chosen, and she twists them in such a way as to make her ideas seem superior. Her facial expressions are well crafted to ensure that whoever she is speaking with thinks they are the most important in the world, and whatever they have to say is the most pressing matter. She is not here to make friends. Oh no. But she will make it seem like she is. Now, in Edyss she grew up a common folk, no one knew her or knew of her. This was until she started to train as a knight, though she hardly made any friends, she was task-oriented and was there for work, not to socialize. She trained hard and fast and in turn, was selected to take care of many people....a common method she used was an early version of aqua tofana, you could say she was the early creator of it. She would dress up and carry it in a bottle of perfume, if her victim asked for some, she would gladly share and accidentally spray it in their eyes. When it took effect and they would become sick she would visit them and slip them more in the water, until the poison was too much and they died. If the poison didn't work fast enough she would kill them herself. In the kingdom of Kagha she will present herself as a graceful, regal figure. Giving off the air of a Queen. Thalia may participate in both balls and hunts, sitting upon her steed with a bow and arrow. She is particularly good at riding and will use it to her advantage, she has brought her horse with her. She will be social and friendly, her laughter contagious and a smile stretched across her face. She will get to know her targets, getting close to them without prying or suggesting her intentions. Thalia will be successful, one way, or another. Strengths & Weaknesses Thalia is great with a bow and arrow. An accurate shot. She started when she was younger and has worked on the skill since. This female is decent with a sword, knowing basic skills, but excels with knives. Thalia is quick on her feet and efficient. She is excellent at riding. She lacks the brute strength of a man, despite some of her strength training she is not making progress as fast as she would like. She also has stayed away from hand-to-hand combat, so she knows little of the skill other than a headlock. Likes & Dislikes Traveling - Thalia loves to see new lands and have new experiences, she is looking forward to coming to Kagha for the ball. The Empire of Edyss - She loves the empire, and craves the attention and satisfaction of the empire's royals. She wants a high position there and is quite ambitious, so she has accepted her task to aid them. Swords - She is rather clumsy with them, they are not her weapon of choice Humid weather - Ew. I am a God to me. ❞ Name: Kinga Aesir Venturi Age: 52 Gender: Female Sexuality: Unlabeled | Doesn't Care Role: Queen of Kagha Kingdom: Kagha Appearance: Kinga is a woman of a mighty appearance, even if she doesn't quite have the looks of someone that you would class as 'mighty'. She is someone whose mere aura takes up space around her, who exudes poise and regality. She holds her chin high at all times, defined features aligning her face and giving her a look younger than she is. She's got high cheekbones, a pronounced jawline, a straight nose, and eyes as sharp as blades. She's got plump lips, and they house a mouth that can be pulled into a friendly smile, or a truly wicked grin. In her youth, Kinga had hair as onyx as the night sky, as dark as the darkest shadow, as black as a sunless room. Now, starting at the top of her head and descending down, it's gone a completely grey-silver shade, with only a few locks of her onyx hair remaining. Next, it will go white, as did her mothers, and her mothers mother. Black, silver and then white. It reaches about her hips, and is as well-kept as she can keep it, along with the rest of her aging body. She's done her best to not let her body decay or wither with age, she does basic exercises to keep her body healthy, and she looks just about as healthy as someone of her age could be. Her eyes, not unlike her childrens, seem to be chips of gold stuck onto her face. They are sharp and aware, perceptive and observant, and they are a blinding shade of gold. Realistically, they're amber with flecks and streaks of light and dark brown all through them, but they're mesmerizing all the same, especially from a distance where the light may catch them. Some have compared them to lightning against the stormclouds of her grey hair. Kinga isn't a large woman, especially not with age. She's only grown to be 5'8", nowhere near as tall as some of her towering offspring, but she doesn't need to be big, tall and strong--that's the job of the men of her lineage, not the women. She's only needed to be pretty and smart, she's never had to pack on muscles or be super strong. So she doesn't. She's got a basic amount of muscles, enough to not mark her as sickly, but nowhere near enough to hold her own in a fight with a true warrior for too long. Personality: Kinga knows what is hers, and she isn't afraid to take it or protect it. Her land, her people, her throne, her courtroom. She leads these things, she rules these things, she is the Queen. She knows that battlefield will never be her place to dominate, it will never be her territory, her domain, but the courtroom is. The courtroom is hers, and hers it shall be to the fullest extent of that. She runs the courtroom, she owns it, her word is law and her say is final. She knows the ways of the courtroom and its politics like the back of her hand, she knows the trade routes and their relationships with other kingdoms well enough it's as if they were her own. Some may view Kinga as a cold or chilled person. Truly, she can be. She's perfected the art of separating logic from emotions, put a wall between them and she decides when the gate opens. Truly, it must be a strong flood of emotions to overpower the gate she's spent years of her life perfecting. She does it to protect her country, her family, and herself. She must make hard decisions at times, call for difficult things to be done, ask difficult things from difficult people. Kinga can come across cold, calculating, perceptive--which she is. She has eyes and ears everywhere, those loyal to her wishing to gain her favor. She is observant and very little gets past her watchful, sharp eyes. Where the blade of her body has dulled, the blade of her mind has grown only stronger. She will gather information and use it as much as she needs to to get what she wants or deems necessary for her kingdom. Above all, above being a citizen, above being a mother, above being a wife, Kinga is a Queen. She learned the hard way that she had to put her kingdom above herself and her family. Whilst she might not seem like it to an outsider, Kinga cares very deeply. She cares for her kingdom, she cares for her people, she cares for her husband, and she cares for her children. If she could, she would protect them all. Unfortunately, she cannot do that whilst also being a good Queen, and bad Queens don't last long. Name: Nikolas Atticus Venturi Age: 55 Gender: Male Sexuality: Heterosexual Role: King Kingdom: Kagha Appearance: The king of Kagha is a big man, as one would expect given the size of his children. He stands at an imposing 6 foot 7, with broad shoulders and a meaty, muscle-packed frame. Despite his age and bulk, he is still surprisingly nimble and able to easily sneak up on his wife and children, which is one of his favorite pastimes. His hands are calloused from a lifetime of wielding his custom tailored sword and shield, which he had commissioned the year he took the throne. The rest of Nikolas’s body is similarly weathered, with scars criss-crossing his arms and torso. His hair was once jet black like his daughter’s, but with time has become a sooty grey. It has a soft wave to it that is only visible when he grows it out. Normally the king’s hair is barely chin length, but in times of war he keeps it more close cropped. His beard is the same way, clean shaven in times of war and neatly groomed to medium length in times of peace. His eyes are emerald green and a bit too large, as well as being rounded in shape. He has tawny amber skin and a strong, square jaw. Nikolas has a hooked nose that is slightly crooked from being broken in a sparring match in his youth. The guard who landed the blow was never seen in the palace again. Personality: As the king of a proud, independent nation, Nikolas is confident bordering on arrogant. He dominates nearly every conversation he is in, certain that whatever the other person has to say is nowhere near as important as his own thoughts. He is uncompromising with his servants and soldiers, demanding perfection at all times. He also considers anyone who is not a noble to be lower than him, and treats them accordingly. Hypocritically he is comically soft when it comes to his own family, always fawning over them and certain that they can do no wrong. And if someone were to threaten to harm them? They, their families, servants, guards, and animals would be wiped from the face of the earth. Nikolas is a terrifying person when enraged, with all the ferocity of a bear defending its territory. He also has a pretty quick temper, so pretty much everyone has seen him stomping around the castle breaking things and yelling at some point. And of course, it is NEVER his fault. Nikolas does have a lighter side in the form of being an incorrigible prankster. He loves jokes, the bawdier the better, and especially enjoys scaring the pants off of his family and the palace staff by sneaking up behind them and yelling “GAAARGHH!” as loudly as he can. Which is pretty loud, considering Nikolas is accustomed to bellowing orders to his men over decent distances. However as the king has aged his hearing has started to go, so some of his loudness is just not realizing what his actual volume level is. This also means that sometimes the tables turn and people sneak up on him, occasionally without intending to. Lastly, the king leaves most of the actual work of governing up to his wife, only weighing in on criminal issues or other things that might involve him getting to use physical force. |

Appearance -short- On first inspection many would fail to notice Kinley in the crowd, he tends to just melt into the background, specifically due to his lack of height. The man stands at an adorable five foot three, making him hardly noticeable if you were to scan the crowd. He does not by any means look like one who has been born with dwarfism, in fact he looks more like a child than anything. Many claim he is a cursed half-breed, a mix between a dwarf and man. However, his ailment is caused by his mother being of very short stature, at least that is what he's told. He often prefers to just consider himself half dwarf, that's more interesting than being cursed by his genes. -well built- Kinley's height may trick others into believing him to be a child, but his build does quite the opposite. One would look at him and think, "My god, it's a demon baby from hell." For underneath his clothing he is extremely toned, so much so that it often seems disproportionate when he flexes, though for the most part many do not see his muscular thighs and arms, as he keeps them covered up in loose fitted clothing to hide the oddity that is him. -blonde/brown hair- The one redeeming quality of this odd man, at least in his eyes, would be his sandy hued hair. It's not quite blonde, but not quite brown either, falling into the color of damp sand. His hair is just long enough to fall into his eyes in a mess of wavy curls, obscuring the ever present scowl etched into his brow. He quite likes his hair, it is thin stranded but very thick. It is soft to the touch and only lightly frizzy, thank the gods for that. He spends most of his attention on his hair, keeping it trimmed and well taken care of, it is his favorite part about himself after all. -brown eyes- On the flip-side, Kinley's least favorite part about himself would have to be his eyes. They are a dark brown, often time black looking pair of malicious orbs. If he had been a kinder soul perhaps they would look innocent, as they are large and a rounder, almost child-like shape. However, due to his permanent scowl and his questionable personality, they are filled with malicious and malcontent thoughts, enhancing his devil-like appearance.
Personality
-Grumpy- Kinsley is a phenomenon that is difficult to understand. He is a grumpy son of a bitch who doesn't give a shit about other people's problems and will not provide you any advice, he won't even give you a shoulder to cry on. It's your own god damn problem so stop bitching about it and deal with it. If anyone invades his personal space without permission he will hold a grudge against them for all of eternity, he doesn't care who you are, he's done with you, he will barely even acknowledge you. On top of all of that, nosy people, and just about all people, annoy the hell out of him. He doesn't want other people in his business and he doesn't want to explain his choices to anyone, he'll make up his own mind without any influence. If he happens to help someone out it is usually a coincidence, he doesn't care about helping others, he just does things when they will help him out, it's pure coincidence if it helps you out too. -Highly perverted- Kinsley has a fascination with attractive people, well, more of an infatuation. He is quick to notice anyone who has attractive qualities, and he is even quicker to lay the flirt on, he is not shy about his intentions. It's odd to see this man go from a social porcupine to a flirty butterfly in an instant, but it happens, and quite regularly. It is one of the traits he inherited from his mother, she was a whore after-all, in fact, that's how the accident that is Kin managed to come into the world. -alcoholic- Kinley has only one true love, one thing in this world he wakes up every day to see, liquor. It is his everything, he works his ass off everyday just to get even a small sip of the poisonous drink, his utter brokenness is due to his addiction. After he's gotten a few drinks in him Kinley becomes a new man, he is outgoing and loud, even sacrificing his personal space for a good laugh with a stranger. Get too much alcohol in him, however, he becomes quite the aggressive man, he will often times hide in a corner "protecting" his "precious" alcohol from the men who seek to take it from him. He often times is the cause of a tavern brawl, he likes to start things with people when he gets too drunk. -slightly psycho?- Due to his multiple parts of his personality, many consider him to be psychotic, especially when he goes from hate-everybody to sexy flirt, it is very disconcerting how quickly he can change his personality. People tend to avoid him, especially if they have run into him before, not only does his colorful personality cause superstition, but he is quick to become aggressive on a normal day, leading people to believe he isn't all there. Perhaps he isn't, sometimes he doesn't think he's quite right in the mind. It's a toss up as to whether or not he really is a rampaging psychotic demon dwarf, but some days that persona really speaks to him. This may be partly due to the fact that he has a slight god complex, he truly believes he is better than most people, it's a small issue that he tends to keep to himself, very few people realize how legitimate he is when he says he's better than you.

Kinley was born into a far from decent life. He was abandoned when he was only a few weeks old at a nearly empty church where none attended but the few clerks who lived there. He never knew much about his mother, nothing but what the clerks told him. She had turned up one day at the church, exhausted and near the end of her pregnancy. They told him she had been quite beautiful, fair skinned with blonde hair and petite, like him. They claimed she was a whore, he believed it, but they never actually told him her name or who she had really been. They found him bundled up in a thin blanket at the foot of the alter, screaming until he lost his voice, his face red with fury and streaked with tears. They claimed he was a son of a devil and debated whether to throw him out to the wilds. They decided to try and raise him on the path of their god. It did not go as planned. He turned out to be just as demonic of a child as they had thought, constantly causing trouble wherever he went. He even tried to set fire to the church one time, he failed and was finally kicked out, he was only nine at this time. He grew up begging for money and food, many times simply stealing whatever he needed. To this day he still can be found sneaking a bread roll around lunch time, he’s quite infamous for it.
