"Don't worry, that's not the worst. I was way worse at that age, my mother was so sick of it, she just abandoned me and Enara" Steven sighed wistfully, "I still miss my mother" He murmered, then shook the thought away, "I-It's over now though" He shrugged, though sorrow shone in his aqua eyes.

Oak sighed as he told of his mother. She felt his pain and sadness as if it were her own. All playfulness was gone from her eyes.

"I'm so sorry. I guess I'm blessed not to have my parents abondon me." She nuzzled him comfortingly.

"I suppose you are like Beku in that sense, you both had a parent leave you, and you both have a sister."

Steven blushed with suprise when Oak, nuzzled him, "I-It's okay Oak, that was a long time ago" He stuttered, gently nuzzling her back, stunned.

Enara smiled from the other side of the clearing.

Steven saw her and smiled back, though he wasn't sure it was because of her, or Oak.

"Thank you though, Oak" He finally replied.

Oak felt him nuzzle her back and smiled slightly. He had seemed shaken up from telling her about his past. Steven thanked her, and her smile grew slightly.

"Of course." She said softly. A movement caught her eye and she saw, out of the corner of her vision, Beku backing into his den he shared, watching them with an, I caught you, look. She suppressed an eye roll at his antics. I wonder why I feel so drawn towards Steven so much. Its different than anything I have felt before, especially about a male. Perhaps tonight I should speak with my mother about it.

Steven yawned, "Want to come hunting?" Steven offered, getting to his paws. He shook out his fur and glanced over to Enara, who was talking with Shadow, Maybe she's making progress too, He thought.

Oak glanced back to Steven, who was standing.

"Hmm? Oh, sure." She stretched and shook out her coat, then stood. She followed Stevens gaze and saw Enara talking with the alpha. So his sister is another female smitten with him. I just don't get it with Shadow.

"Which way shall we go?"

"I tend to find more deer over left, " Steven pointed with his nose, "We could get a reasonably sized kill over there." He lead Oak over to a small meadow, the bushes shook gently. Steven pricked his ears and taisted the air. The strong scent of deer hung in the air, He signaled for Oak and dropped into a crouch, sliding across the ground, through a whole in the bushes. Steven waited, then pushed of the ground and landed on the back of the deer, biting at it's neck.

Oak followed him to a small meadow. The scent of deer was strong in the air. Steven signaled for her to mimic him and she watched his movements, copying it perfectly. She watched him leap onto the back of a deer and bite at its neck. She was about to run over to help him bring it down when she spotted a flash of color near him. It was a fawn, and she guessed that the one Steven was on was probably its mother. Racing over she tackled the fawn. It screamed and tried to get away, flailing its hooves around. Oak clawed at it and snapped a leg. It continued yelling until she finally killed it by ripping open its chest. Panting, she turned around to see how Steven had been in his struggled.

Steven got his paws to the ground while still holding it's neck, finally he managed to rip it's throat and dodged out of the way before it fell. "I learned my lesson last time" Steven remarked, humor in his tone.

"Good catch Oak!" He complemented, wagging slightly.

Oak smiled at Steven as he complimented her, his tail wagging a bit.

"Thanks. You did good too." Blood was dripping off of her paws, muzzle, and teeth. Her eyes glinted in the dying sunlight. She was a fearsome sight to see. Oak glanced at Stevens kill, then his chest. A small round silver spot was in the middle, where he had been peirced by the bucks antler so many moons ago. She remembered that day as the time she saved his life.
