Lucky swished her tail back and forth a couple times. She sighed. I hate night time. It's so dark and depressing. She stared at her hooves for a few seconds, then snorted. She trotted a little away from the herd and neighed softly. She missed running freely. She shook the leaves out of her mane and stamped. Then she galloped back to the herd.

Circut always stayed a few steps away from the herd. He didn't really want to bother anyone. He stepped out of the forest a few minutes after everyone else. He stretched his wings then tucked them back in. He shook his head to clear the tiredness. He just wanted to feel safe again.

Luna gave a small shrug. "I am just not sure. Everyone has been in the berd for a while now. Wouldnt most have forgotten their former life" she asked. She mostly had, at least the first hundred years or so she was alone. Before that, she remembered it well. The Alicorn mare looked towards Night before she gave a nod to him, grateful he was checking up on the herd. *Do any of them regret joining the herd* she thought as her ears lowered slightly. Sure, they lived forever unless humans killed them, or sickness took over, or other injuries, but even then did they regret it? She never asked, too afraid they would want to just leave. *But I wont force any to stay* she reminded herself.

Lily nodded to Luna before looking over the herd as Night came down. Listening to the report, she nodded again before flicking her ears. It was a peaceful night, and beautiful at that. She loved being in the herd, and probably would never leave. Sometimes, yes, she didn't like the immortality of being alive forever until killed but it was very helpful too. She had freedom for several centuries to come and she was happy for that.

Snapping out of her thoughts, she dipped her head respectfully to Luna before trotting through the herd. Making sure everyone was alright and the mothers were doing okay. Slowing to a fast walk, she kept her head high as she finished her sweep. Making it back to Luna, she flicked an ear before going to find the other Royals.

Raven circled over the herd, seeing the guards and royals come and go here and there. The breeze in his mane was amazing but Raven knew he couldn't fly forever. Humans would be out soon and he wouldn't be able to fly without being spotted. Sighing, he swooped down before landing gently on the ground. Stretching one wing, he made his way over to the herd before taking a moment to graze even though he wasn't that hungry. Looking up to see where Shadow was, he flicked his ears as he found him looking over at Luna. Again. Raven knew Shadow had trust problems but it couldn't be that bad. Or at least, Raven hoped. They had been seperated at birth but then reunited thanks to Luna and the herd. What more could you ask for? Well, Raven asked for a brother and got a grump. Life.

Shadow watched Raven swoop around before turning his head over to Luna. Night was giving his report and Lily was sweeping the herd again. They never quit doing that but it was their job, so even though it got annoying, at least Shadow couldn't say they weren't working. Mystic was hanging around Luna even though it wasn't too necessary. Raven came down for a land and Shadow watched him halfway before turning his attention back to the alicorn. He didn't know what it was about her, but she always seemed to draw his attention. He doubted it was her wings, horn or pelt but he could be wrong.

Blaze flew over the tree tops, looking for a place to land. He swooped downward upon seeing a clear patch of earth. The golden paint stallion stretched his gold wings. He tucked them up on his back quietly. Blaze's ears pricked forward at the sound of hoofsteps. Rowan, a blue roan appaloosa, trotted toward him. "Nice to see you back on the ground for a little bit." She teased. Blaze snorted. "As if you could keep up with me." He retorts. The mare flutters her slate blue wings in mock annoyance. "I've never met a ruder stallion!" She huffs playfully. Blaze gently clipped her shoulder with his own. "You know I'm teasing. You're pretty fast."

The moon glared overhead. Rowan politely excused herself when she heard her name called. "Alright. I'll find you later!" Blaze called as the roan loped off. The champagne stallion was one of her best friends. The roan mare snorted as she saw him trot over to a group of unicorns, preening.

"Rowan!" She heard her name, whispered this time. She looked up to see no one. Spooked, she flew up into the safety of the pegasi herd.

Primrose shook out her rose gray dappled coat. She ran up behind Luna.
"Hi Luna!" She dipped her head respectfully to her.

Novak looked at Decibel.
"Oh- Hi, no, I'm alright, thank you though."
Novak kept pace with her, his tail swishing as he stared at Decibel before looking back at the stars.

Lickit trotted up to Novak.
"Hey doofus! Can't catch me!"
Lickit raced off, her tail streaming behind her.
Novak stook his head. "Don't want to."

Ahadi's gorgeous black mane swayed in the wind as he let out a whinny, trotting silently.

Hurricane was walking with his sister and best friend, Winter's Shadow. Winter was talking about something, but Hurricane kept looking around, keeping an eye on the shadows, looking everywhere danger could hide.

"Hurricane." Winter's Shadow said. "Hurricane, listen to me! It's rude to ignore someone when they ask you something." Winter glared at her brother. She knew her brother was a guard and that meant always being alert, always being cautious, and always looking for unusual things, especially on a foggy night like tonight, but still, he could listen to her once in a while! And he still hasn't replied. Oh well.

"Huricane!"

Hurricane slightly jumped and looked at Winter's Shadow. "Sorry, Winter. What were you saying?"

Winter's Shadow sighed and said "I asked what you think about being a guard. Now can you please answer?" Hurricane felt a bit guilty. At least she doesn't seem too mad... I guess.

"Well, being a guard is... Honestly kind of stressful sometimes. I had always trusted the guards, never feared anything. But now I am one, and now, I feel like if I make a mistake..." Hurricane didn't finish, but Winter's Shadow knew what he would have said if I make a mistake, the whole herd could suffer.

"You aren't the only guard, there are others who can help you. You don't have to feel like the rate of the entire here is on your shoulders." Winter's Shadow said. Hurricane was glad he had someone he could share anything with, even if it didn't go terribly well.

"Thank you." He said simply, then trotted off back to the rest of the herd, once again looking at every shadow and every thing that might hide any danger. Winter's Shadow grazed for a moment, then went back to the herd at a trot.

Marigold drifted across the black sky, stars glittered against the darkness. Her bright green eyes scanned the ground, searching for a place to land. When she landed, the sound of hoofbeats came from behind Marigold. "Hello," Marigold turned to see another member of the herd. She fanned out her wings, the silver shining against the more golden chestnut.

Bermuda stalked the treeline, her sheer black coat matching the shadows of the woods. She lowered her head to the grass and snagged a mouthful. It was particularly sweet tonight, crunchy too. She raised her head and flicked her ears, stepping out of the shadows of the forest. The pegusi flew overhead, and most of the unicorns flocked to the leader. Not her, no sir. She much preffered freedom, possibly to cause a bit of trouble. She flattened her ears and sneered; Hurricane seemed distracted tonight. Maybe she could sneek up behind him and-

"Bermuda!" The guard roared as he fanned out his impressive wings. The sleek little mare nearly jumped a foot off the ground in shock.

"Mind your own!" She snapped at him, nipping at his shoulder.

"Mind your manners!" He countered, rearing on his hind legs, and in one fell flap of his wings, he blew the unicorn three feet back from him. She tossed him a dirty look and trotted off into the trees, likely looking for more shenanagains to get into. He shook his head in a disappointed manner, tucking his wings across his back. The stallion cantered over to the lead mare, greeting her with a nod and then moving along down the valley to make sure everyone was getting along and remaining safe. He tilted his muzzle skyward, looking up at the pinpricks of starlight as the shadows of the other pegusi could be seen criss-crossing the sky.

Sonota trotted up alongside Luna. The arabian mare smiled at the two mares who were conversing. "Need some light?" She offered, a soft white light faded into existance at the tip of her horn, bathing the three mares in a silver halo.

Luna looked over towards Primrose as the other mare walked up. "Evening" she replied as she stiffened up. She heard a distant howl from a wolf pack and looked in the direction of the noise. The howl sounded like it was a while away, but she wasnt sure they could risk it. "Make sure everyone is ready to move soon, or ready to scare off a small pack." She knew from the sound and smell it wasnt very large, no more than five. *Wont be too hard to scare off* she thought as she flicked her ear slightly. The Arabian mare saw as Sky and Storm stopped in their tracks as well and the lead mare headed towards the scent, not wanting anyone to get hurt.
