He let his mind wander for a moment. Why do weird things like that always happen to me? "Are you from Ibex? The Ibex? Did they poke you with sharp needles and take your blood too?!" She asked, getting practically in his face. That simplae sentence made his blood ice over, face going pale and his heart almost stopping. There were other survivors? Others that had weird things wrong with them? Shock just overtook him, he couldn't sort out all of the muddy thoughts that invaded his head. He had terrible flashbacks of what had happene, the pain of the experiments he had been though. It truely had been hell on earth. Then the fire? He shuddered, very visable, worse than he regular shaking. "I-I..." He stammered, lost for words and unable to put his thoughts together. "Y-ya..." Once he answered the girl he couldn't look at her anymore. He just fingered the glove on his hand. He could barely breathe, trying to desprately stop all the fashbacks he was going in and out of. He finally closed his eyes tight. His hands crept up and he ran them through his hair. He couldn't bear that pain and trauma. It was what he had been running from, trying to avoid. But yet it had found him, well not it, her. |

Ivy grimaced. “Looks like he’s being bullied,” she thought to herself. Flashbacks of her high school life ran through her mind - the way the other kids would taunt and mock her for being Asian, for being different. She snapped back to the present and before she knew it, she shoved the rest of the sandwich in her mouth and was crossing the street towards them. Ivy froze, sucking in her breath harshly. What did they know about Ibex? Willing herself to move again, she tried her best to casually walk past them until she was out of their sight. “I-I... y-ya...” the boy stammered. Ivy gulped, her eyes wide with shock. Were they also experiments who had also escaped? The thought that there were others who had also gone through the same horrendous experience as her was strangely comforting. She continued to stay silent, listening carefully to catch more information about them. |

She held up the metal knife, straight up to the boy. “You’re all from Ibex?” He asked, and the knife was slowly making its way down. “Like, you’re actually from Ibex? Experiments, right? Or did I just score myself a one-way ticket back to hell?”"If I did just turn myself in, no more shots, please. Those hurt." Dakota shook her head, "We are all experiments..I presume anyway, Night here was just about to tell us if he were, escapees like us. And by the sounds of it, you're an escapee too." Dakota looked down for a moment but looked up with a slight smile. There is more. We aren't alone! Dakota thought happily but didn't show it. Don't get too excited. If everyone is showing up now, there is bound to be Ibex Teams somewhere..Nyx grimly spoke in her sibling's mind, she looked to Night and back to the other boy. Nyx chuckled a bit, "Well. You might have earned your ticket to hell with jumping out of the shadows!" She hissed and glared at him. Dakota put her arm in front of her sister and shook her head. "Ignore her..for a few moments anyway. She is not keen with strangers. " Nyx opened her mouth to speak, but Dakota spoke first. "Have you seen any other experiments?" She asked Nyx. Watch Night while I talk to this guy. If he happens to turn out bad, I know what to do. Same as before. Nyx nodded, and looked to Night, awaiting his answer and most likely other questions. |

We haven't encountered any other experiments...we thought they all died in the fire, we were the only survivors." His eyes softened, he knew what that felt like. "Why were you following us though?" Night was about to answer when a voice came out of the shadows. Didn't expect him to talk so soon. He thought before opening up his mind slightly.
Nyx. Watch Night while I talk to this guy. If he happens to turn out bad, I know what to do. Same as before. A small message crossed his mind and he barely smothered a chuckle. All friends here. He sent back to the girl. Turning back to the girl, Nyx, he said, "At first, I was just walking down the sidewalk. But then I felt your powers, the first time I have for a long while. I figured you must be escapees but had to make sure."
Night looked into the eyes of Nyx before slowly rolling up his sleeve. His scar shown in the dim light, marking him. He didn't usually show others but he wanted them to begin to trust him. "I believe we are not the only ones in the city. There would be more, we just need to find them." He had an almost 100% mindset that the four of them were not the only ones. And finding them was just the beginning.
Night looked over to them before sending them a message, Ibex teams have been searching the city since the fire. Everyone who has been freed has been chased, meaning that since there is a lot of Ibex, there is quite a few that escaped. He rolled down his sleeve before dipping his head slightly to them, "You twins have been on the run since the fire, I'm guessing you have been alone all this time?" |

Flame Chaise | 19 | Female | M: Lilypad, Arlin "As stated before, those managed to escape are currently being hunted down. To hide our identities, Arlin and I use helmets. I'm sure that all of us crave for a normal life, and I do too. But, I'm not angry. Actually, I'm glad that I went cause I get to meet my brother, Arlin." Lilpad said, his eyes dulling before he looked back up at her. A small smile came on his face as he asked, "I notice you trying to suppress your powers. I see it in your aura. Your powers connect with your emotions, doesn't it?" She half froze, Why am I so easy to read? She thought before Lilypad continued.
Arlin came into the room with glasses and stared at her. She shifted her attention back to Lilpad as he said, "I'm here to make an offer with you, Flame. Would you like to travel with us? But if you do, you have to get something to cover your face." She took a step back, Travel with them? I haven't traveled with anyone in. . .years. She thought before hearing, "The face covering isn't just for your safety, but to others as well. We have a couple of helmets, masks, and other face coverings that you can pick from. Will you remember that, though? You're always eager to charge into a battle without thinking, which is something I've constantly told you about."
I'm sorry, do you know me? She thought, looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "Anyways, I'll be leaving you for now. Arlin, Don't do anything stupid." Lilypad said before walking out. She watched him for a moment before switching her attention back to Arlin. She blinked at him before saying, "I'm guessing he didn't ask you about the question. Now I'm asking, do you want me along?" She didn't know what he would say, but she also knew that he was a bit. . .of a hardhead. Eh, you can be too sometimes Hunter of Fire. She thought to herself remembering her father's words.

Arlin lifts his head when she started speaking and was only fixated on her. "I'm guessing he didn't ask you about the question. Now I'm asking, do you want me along?" This is where he only responds with a grunt, then leans back against the couch. He was silent, trying to figure the right response. He was trying not to scare her away and knows that Lilypad would be mad if he did. "If Lilypad sees good in you, then I trust his decision," his arms crossed as he examines her, "And so, I don't care if you travel with us. Just don't pester me too much." His voice was filled with annoyance, but it wasn't towards her-it was at the pancakes Lilypad barely touched. "That bastard made me cook some pancakes for him, only for him to leave."
"It's like raising a toddler that's older than me." He grinds his teeth a little as he grabs a now cold pancake, taking a bite as he stares at Flame again. "Ah. His powers scared you a little, didn't they? When you told you about your power troubles." Arlin only grins, finish his pancake in greedy bites. "His powers are aura manipulation, meaning that he can control not only his but other's aura as well. Able to see other's aura whenever his please, receiving information on how strong their powers are." Arlin shrugs his shoulders, "I don't know how they truly work as he doesn't tell me much about it."

Lilypad nods his head, offering her a softened smile, already seeing how troubled she is. "Don't worry. We're not traveling too far." He stares down at the jacket he's wearing; it was a nice brown later, which he definitely stole from some rich guy. "Would you like to wear my jacket for the moment?" Starting to take it off, holding it out for her, and raised a brow. "I wouldn't mind giving it to you. If you get scared, just pull the jacket around tight around, and that's how I'll know that you're currently uncomfortable...or cold." He chuckles, staring at the cat in her arms. "I can give something for your cat too. Let's just say that- I recently got paid."

"Remember why we released you before the others, Lada." The voice of the scientist echoes in her head, something she regrets agreeing to do. Betraying her fellow experiments? She was stuck with being obedient to her 'creators' and breaking a few rules to keep the others safe. She never bothered to meet the others as they know that they would attack her once they realize that she works with Ibex. That's if they discover that she's working with them. She sways back into the car's seat of her black sedan, parked in a lot of some fast food resturant. Lada stares over to the folders and documents that contain information of all the experiments managed to escape, and she grabs it then skims through it all.
She recognized every face just in case she encounters any one of them on the streets. Lada shoves the papers into the folder, closing it, and place the stuffed folder into the glove department of her car before climbing out. She was wearing light blue jeans, a fully white shirt, and a pair of white sneakers. Lada was dressed in casual wear, a 'disguise' that picked out to make her blend into the crowd some more. She walks down the street, ignoring the annoying catcalls as she kept walking. Lada stops when she sees a park up ahead and a hotdog stand, and her stomach growls in hunger. "A hotdog it is." She strides over to the stand, staring at the man working there. "Give me a hotdog, and don't question it." Using her powers even though they restricted her not to do so on humans, but she was hungry and didn't have any money on her since she forgot it in her car. She left the stand, now sitting on an empty bench, and silently eats her hotdog.

And so, I don't care if you travel with us. Just don't pester me too much." She hid a small smile, If anything, you will be the one pestering me. "That bastard made me cook some pancakes for him, only for him to leave." She blinked confused for a moment before realizing that pancakes must be the food.
Arlin kept talking and she listened, but her main focus was on what he was saying about Lilypad's powers. She looked at Arlin before closing her eyes. Her power came up instantly surrounding her inner conscience. A thread lingered and a face came to her mind: Arlin. She pulled slightly on it feeling resistance instantly. Elemental Resistance. She thought, leaving him be. Reaching out, she knew exactly how many mice was in the building, dogs being walked outside and how far away the forest was. Opening her eyes, she looked back at Arlin before saying, "You have elemental resistance, which means you have elemental use right?" It came out more of a statement than a question. |

But... he just said he had to lay low. Probably runs some sort of crime ring or something. She didn't really let that scare her, she could just dissapear if she needed to. Or attempt to engulf him in the weird void thing, although that always resulted in disaster. She noticed he was holding the jacket, actually offering it to her. She thought back over what he had said, she had heard it but not processed it yet. "I wouldn't mind giving it to you. If you get scared, just pull the jacket tight around, and that's how I'll know if you're currently uncomfortable... or cold."He had said. "I can give you something for your cat too." Oh ya, then he had said the thing about getting paid. Worst thing that could happen would be she gets a free jacket and Sharky gets some special treats because someone spent money on her for once. She took the jacket with her free hand. It showed the deep burns on her forearm and once she noticed that they were very visable she snatched the jacket from him and managed to put it over her shoulder. She didn't wear the jacket like a jacket, it was way too big for her. So she instead draped it over her shoulders. She was happy to have it covering her cat, it made her feel safer knowing Sharky was going to be safe. She looked up at the guy, Lilypad. What a lame name, who would name their child that? She got her mind back on track, thinking what she should say. "We can go, but what do you do for work?" |

Arlin's brow raised in surprise, staring at her as she mentioned one of his abilities. "So, you can also tell what other's powers are. How fascinating." He sounded a bit snarky, but it's all out of goodwill, leaning forward, and gave her a cocky smile. "Indeed I am. I have a high resistance to elements, but that doesn't mean that I'm completely resistant to them. That's all that I need to explain to you about my powers." His ears wiggles for no reason at all, "I'm guessing that you have some sort of control of fire from what Lilypad is saying. I was sorta eavesdropping on you two's conversation." Arlin stares deep into her eyes and nods his head, "I'm able to control ice, lightning, and fire. Although, I only use them if I need to," he lifts a single hand in front of her face but kept it a safe distance before taking out his hooked claws, "I prefer using these instead."
"You also seem to have shapeshifting abilities. From when Lilypad said that there was a cat," he mumbles a couple of slurs, "I love cats, but they keep running away from me in fear." A sigh leaving his lips, claws turning back into normal fingernails. "As you can guess and probably tell, I have wings, elemental usage and resistance, claws, and lastly fangs." His face scrunched up in disgust, "But I never use my fangs as I hate biting people."

She waited a moment before saying, "I can not in fact see others powers or guess what they are. The only reason I can see yours is that it is connected to elemental energy which is one of my powers. And don't, just don't ask please." She stopped before looking up to the ceiling. She blinked once and a small orb of fire appeared, dangling in midair. Several followed until they surrounded them. "I have pyrokinesis, the ability to create and control several different fires with my mind." She paused not wanting to reveal her last power quite yet. |
