Lmao, I feel that-

Poor, poor orphan boy, lmao

Nice! Any progress is progress! :D

Also, I feel like I should give you a song for Narin and Tirion, especially since Tirion's gonna be the most critical of Devery. My guy's seen his friend go through hell, he's kinda protective, especially because he knows Narin doesn't fall easily, but falls hella hard and will literally tear himself apart for those he cares about. He's got reason to be worried, lol
But I thought I should give you some of the more wholesome side of things along with the protective side because Tirion's been Narin's life-line for 9 years and they're absolutely precious together, lmao
Anyway, enjoy!

Song: BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Billie Eilish
(With some slight changes to the lyrics to better fit characters and avoid as much repeating in some spots)
Characters: Narin and Tirion. Calypso and Amara mentioned.
Context: This song is to showcase Tirion and Narin's relationship. As family and as best friends, they've both seen each other at their worst (or, almost, anyway) and have helped each other through it all. In particular, this song is from Tirion's perspective, how he sees Narin. It also showcases a bit of the harsh love that's necassary to get Narvin to stop being an idiot and take care of himself, take notes Devery!
Also, some Narin angst and lore :D

Tirion, after having known Narin for a few months, already attached to the one person his age to treat him remotely decently, but still scared that Narin will decide to leave. It's also important to note here that, because it was so early on, Narin was still covering up a lot of his struggled so Tirion was fully convinced he was just a happy, go-lucky guy who wanted to help out: "I want you to stay... 'Til I'm in the grave, 'til I rot away, dead and buried. 'Til I'm in the casket you carry!"
*Slight time skip to about a year into Tirion and Narin's friendship. Narin's claimed that he's taking his sisters and leaving home to protect them. When Tirion first offers to help and let them stay with him, Narin refuses, not wanting to bother Tirion and his family.*
Tirion, raising an eyebrow and absolutely refusing to let Narin go off on his own without support, claiming to leave with him and his sisters if they don't accept his offer to let them stay at his place, then referencing how many times Narin had helped him out to convince him he's got reason to help: "If you go, I'm going too. 'Cause it was always you, alright!"
*Very slight time skip here. Narin and his sisters are living with Tirion and it finally starts to become clear just how aweful his mental health is. Tirion attempts to combat this with promises to always be around to help, struggling to convince Narin that everything he's going through isn't his fault.*
Narin, in a late-night conversation with Tirion, referencing how, if he were to die, he wouldn't want Tirion to try and save him because "it's not worth it anyway": "And if I'm turning blue, please don't save me. Nothing left to lose anyway..."
Tirion, grasping at straws as he finally processes what Narin's been dealing with, trying desperately trying to convince him life is worth living and he's got support: "Birds of a feather, we should stick together, I know!"
Narin, hesitantly acknowledging that he couldn't do this alone and that, maybe, just maybe, Tirion and his sisters do still need him: "I said I'd never think I wasn't better alone..."
Tirion, smiling sadly, mostly just acknowledging Narin's pain and how he can't get rid of it all, or change the past: "Can't change the weather..."
Narin, looking away, still struggling with the idea of someone caring for longer than a short period: "Might not be forever..."
Tirion, nudging his side gently: "But if it's forever, it's even better!"
*Another shift here. Narin and his sisters have moved out, Narin's just started the bar, and Tirion is helping out where he can. He goes to all the girls' events with Narin and helps at the bar on days off, giving Narin rides there and back when he can. In this section, we see Narin having an actual breakdown, struggling as his chronic fatigue gets worse, resulting in even worse mental health. Also, you know that semi-colon tattoo Narin has? Yeah, he got that shortly after this whole scene*
Narin, after a day of work, struggling to even stand, exhausted and breaking down in Tirion's car, then feeling guilty and self-deprecating about feeling so upset: "And I don't know what I'm crying for!"
Tirion, mostly just trying to get Narin to calm down and show support: "I don't think I could love you more."
Narin, responding to the affection with his own love, but still clearly struggling and basically indirectly saying that he might not live much longer: "It might not be long, but Rio, I, I'll love you 'til the day that I die... 'Til the day that I die! 'Til the light leaves my eyes, 'til the day that I die..."
Tirion, panicking but trying not to show it, grabbing Narin's hand quickly, trying to convince him that, yes, he really does care, you fucking idiot: "I want you to see,"
Narin, wiping at his face with his other hand, looking away in guilt: "How do you look to me?"
Tirion, sighing softly, wanting to tell Narin he thinks he's amazing and strong, not at all weak, but knowing well Narin just won't listen: "You wouldn't believe if I told ya. You wouldn't keep the compliments I throw ya."
Tirion, switching tactics and becoming more harsh to get Narin's full attention, very much calling Narin stupid for thinking he wouldn't be missed: "But you're so full of shit! Tell me it's a bit! Say you don't see it, your mind's polluted. Say you wanna quit, don't be stupid!"
Narin, surprisingly grounded by the almost-attack, relaxing a little and smiling weakly as he truns to look at Tirion again, still hurt and hesitant but not in such a risky mindset anymore: "And I don't know what I'm crying for..."
Tirion, taking full advantage of the attention he has: "I don't think I could love you more."
Narin, breaking down again, but this time for a different reason, letting Tirion just hold him as he grieves: "Might not be long, but Rio, I don't wanna say goodbye!"
*Time skip to present day. The two are as close as ever, and Narin's doing a tiny bit better, despite still struggling to accept actual love.*
Tirion, looking over at Narin and grinning, proud to be his friend: "Birds of a feather, we should stick together, I know!"
Narin, grinning back, having let Tirion help him a little more with less refusal and arguing over it, aware that he does need at least some support, even if it is mostly to benefit his sisters rather than himself, also more: "I said I'd never think I wasn't better alone.
Tirion, still fully aware that Narin will continue to struggle, but determined to stick by his side as long as it takes to see him get better: "Can't change the weather, might not be forever..."
Narin, snickering and repeating what Tirion told him: "But if it's forever, it's even better!"
Tirion, rolling his eyes, and smiling a little at the determination Narin still has to do everything himself and make his own dreams come true: "I knew you in another life, you had that same look in your eyes."
Tirion, looking over at Narin with affection, admiration, and mild annoyance because why the hell is this guy like this?!: "I love you, don't act so surprised."
