Context:
Hey! These two are finally getting along! Yay! Somewhat because they both suck at understanding/accepting affection and care and worry. Takes place after that heartfelt chat on the roof in ‘rats in my walls’ where the two actually become rather trusted confidants with each other. It’s adorable. Mostly.

Garvin, about Akira; “It can't be said you’re an early bird, it’s ten o'clock before you say a word. Honey, I can never tell, how do you sleep so well?”
Revan, about Ingall; “You keep telling me to live a lie, to go to bed before the daylight. But then you wake up for the sunrise.”
Revan, more directly towards Garvin; “You know you don't gotta pretend, every now and then...”
Garvin, interrupting, directed towards Revan; “Don't you just wanna wake up, dark as a lake? Smelling like a bonfire, lost in a haze? If they’re drunk on life, babe, I think that’s great. But while in this world...”
Garvin, elbowing Revan, half grinning, trying to play everything off; “I think I'll take my whiskey neat.”
Revan, nodding and going along with it; “My coffee black.”
Garvin and Revan; “And my bed at three.”
Garvin, still finding himself in the conversation he hadn’t wanted to have; “They’re too sweet for me.”
Revan, echoing in agreement, ‘totally’ having planned this; “They’re too sweet for me.”

Garvin, kind of referring to death; “I aim low, I aim true, and the ground's where I go.”
Revan, referring to his overworking tendencies; “I work late where I'm free from the phone. And the job gets done, but they worry some, I know.”
Garvin, and the reason why I put ‘mostly’, because these two of course also just like to skirt around admitting to anything so it’s also best to skirt around each other’s admissions too, towards Revan, about the others and all their care and worry, especially Nico since they like to have people talk about their emotions and whatnot; “But who wants to live forever, babe? They treat their mouths as if it's Heaven's gate.”
Revan, sighing and unfortunately agreeing with Garvin’s words; “The rest of them like they’re the TSA... I wish that I could go along, and don't get me wrong. You know, they're as bright as the morning, as soft as the rain...”
Garvin, nodding and going along in agreement; “Pretty as a vine, as sweet as a grape. If they can sit in a barrel, maybe I'll wait... Until that day... I'd rather take my whiskey neat.”
Revan, in full agreement; “My coffee black.”
Garvin and Revan; “And my bed at three.”
Garvin, having an easier time admitting it this time around; “They’re too sweet for me.”
Revan, also having a much easier time admitting it; “They’re too sweet for me.”
*It becomes a sort of inside joke, this quiet understanding that the care and worry the others give them can be overwhelming and suffocating. Even almost nauseating at times. So much so that it actually becomes commonplace that if either one of them starts isolating or withdrawing, the polyship looks towards the other for help.*
Garvin and Revan; “We take our whiskey neat, our coffee black, and our bed at three.”
Garvin; “They’re too sweet for me.”
Revan; “They’re too sweet for me.”
