So the Aries stuff has uh, spiraled quickly. Mostly because he heard Briar's quiet spiel. Which while helps Briar feel better, does nothing for Aries. The two have very different methods to help themselves. You get some hints about his method though! And some information about his gladius daggers!

So, basically.

Aries has major dehumanization trauma. So as a workaround as to not accidentally trigger himself, so he doesn't have to be repetitive in his avoiding certain words (i.e. the word it), he'll name objects and items, and use pronouns for them. His daggers thus have names and pronouns. Tereus, the purple ribbon, he uses he/him pronouns with. Tereine, the red ribbon, he uses she/her pronouns with.

While speaking to others and talking about his daggers, he usually avoids using their names and pronouns because then people ask and end up triggering him, whether by accident or on purpose. So then he just gets repetitive and sometimes that also ends up leading to questions- Overall just a very complicated little bit.

Why this only kind of helps (other than him not using it in front of others) is because that while it helps to not trigger him... It also gives him the (very easy to spiral from) mindset that objects and items can have names and pronouns other than It/Its/It's. Which means that sometimes he'll begin to slip into a dehumanizing mindset of his own without even noticing because he's still using his name and pronouns and all, and then he doesn't notice until he's already too deep into the mindset and ends up getting sucked into the deeper end too. The deeper end being where he doesn't use his name and pronouns.

So, basically- It's a good way to keep from outright triggering himself, but it also makes it harder to get him back out from when he is triggered.
