I love The Ritual on Netflix, I've watched it like 5 times lol it's pretty good. And I like the concept of the monster in the movie being the son of Loki the trickster god and some beast, it's accurate to the mythology.

Alien (1979) - I enjoyed it because Sigourney Weaver did a fantastic job as Ellen Ripley. She's really good at portraying the proper emotions for the characters she's given in films. Also, along similar lines, there's a singleplayer horror game set 15 years after the first film, so between "Alien" & "Aliens", called "Alien: Isolation", where we get to play as Amanda Ripley, Ellen's daughter, and learn more about the "Company" we first hear about in "Alien". I've enjoyed that quite a bit and have replayed quite a few times now, though I really don't like the Working Joe AI robots. Spooky bald freaks.

There's not a lot of clean horror movies out there but I'd have to say Scary Stories to tell in the Dark. :)

Lazy Kingdom said: For mine I would personally say Coraline. I know I know people will argue against this but as a kid that movie scared the living jeepers out of me. The music, the creepy unsettling imageries, the dark humor, the style, the storyline, the mystery, the lore. It makes a perfect blend in my opinion. It is just a classic to me by this point that I still watch to this day and I have no shame. It still sends chills through me and that is what I love.
I especially love Coraline too. A lot of people say to me, "Ew, you like Coraline?" But for me it's an amazing movie, and gives me shivers every time.

I agree. But another one of my favourites have to be both the sinister 1 and the sinister 2.

Not a horror, but 2001: a space odessey freaked me out when I was little. To be honest, it still does. I dunno why.
