♮ Persilia Dycoris ♮

"Persi"

Purr - seel - eeyah | Dee-kor-es

𝄞 Feminine 𝄞 22 𝄞 Daughter of Ydur 𝄞

Abilities

Precise Hearing ~ Persilia has the advantage of aid in her hearing capabilities. She has the ability to hear even the smallest of details being leaked, from a fair distance away.

Music ~ Persilia has a way with instruments of any kind, especially those that display the most beautiful of tones. Her tunes are attracting and seem to find you in the crowd, amongst the chatter.

Wind Resilience ~ Although she lacks many of her father's abilities with the wind, she has a resistance to strong winds. The natural durability to withstand the dynamics of wind against her allows her to be quick on her feet and balanced well.

Sexuality

Pansexual

Personality

Persilia is a rambunctious being. She's naturally loud and grabs the attention of a crowd. She has a talent for diverting eyes with her boisterous radiance. She has an irrepressible appeal of her personality that attracts the common eye whenever she flaunts herself on stage. She's cunning and reckless, given why her ability to steal the spotlight comes naturally to her. She provokes audacious moves and is capable of getting your blood pumping or boiling. Persilia seems to be gifted with a foolish desire for thrill, given her risky actions throughout her life. But, even after having made so many terrible decisions and mistakes, she never seems to learn from them. She relentlessly continues to bring upheaval in the streets she conquers.

While Persilia would do practically anything for the hell of it, she can't back down from a pretty face. Whether she's attracted to that face or not, her flirtatious side peeks out. She's good with her words, her powerful, yet airy feminine voice carries smooth compliments left and right. Of course, she won't give these priceless comments to just anyone. It has to be the right opening, the right being, the right toy to mess with. It's a plus if her victim is a sucker for flirts. She simply adores the sight of someone embarrassed, flattered, or expressing butterfly emotions. It's quick for Persilia to get jealous, and lord does she get jealous easily. She has quite the petty, passive-aggressive side to her, hence her grudge-holding. She'll hold onto a snide remark and will whiplash it back at any given opportunity.

Persilia is a witty being. She has the intelligence to knock another off-guard, but she simply uses it for all the wrong reasons. Which, in case, probably dumbs her down by not taking full advantage of her wits. She's a snarky, spicy being who'll use sarcasm as her greatest dark humor. It doesn't matter if it's a sad occasion, Persilia can't help but say something undoubtedly stupid and make the crowd send deathly glares at her. She simply can't help herself. If she sees the opportunity for a witty remark, she'll take it. Having the blessed gift of being nosy, Persilia takes advantage of her powers. You don't have to open up to her for her to know something. All it takes is a slip of the tongue and she has you marked down. She loves getting into everyone's business. Sure, tell her to buzz off, she'll simply continue. She hasn't the slightest interest in her own affairs and tends to be the audience of a drama. Hence her pairing people up in her head, then blurting out hints here and there to get them all fired up. Oh, how she loves it when a plan comes together.

Persilia is boastful and will take advantage of any opening she has to be egotistical. Although it's mainly for humor, she can't help but hold onto that ego. A sense of habit, per se. On any given occasion, you might find something out about Persilia. She's highly opinionated and hotheaded. She has a false sense of pride when it comes to admitting her wrongdoings. She's assertive when it comes to her voice and very hard to sway on another option. In just the right occasion, it's easy to tick her off. But, if she catches that you're trying to upset her, she'll display a cool, fake, honeyed apparel that'll drive you crazy with her passive-aggressive tone.

Persilia seems to bear endless energy storage. She's hardly caught crashing out of exhaustion. She's a naturally hyper being, having an extroverted social sense that only hypes her up when in crowds. Being alone seems to drain her sense of overall personality. She becomes blunt, careless, and coldhearted, like a gem covered in bland stone, once exposed to the right light and cheer of a crowd, she immediately perks up. It's easy to tell she's a people person, as she can't bear the silence and tends to stick to festivals, parties, or markets.

While Persilia is not the most honest, she manages to be trusting to those who have gained her trust. She uses deceit to get her way, using her skills to her utmost advantage to gain the information she needs to get under your skin. She's opportunistic and will dive into something without taking any precautions. She's very headfirst when it comes to things like that, and won't shy away from a chance. Her tongue seems to be quicker than her mind because its sharp as a dagger and won't hold back either. Unless in a predictable situation, in which she chooses her words carefully as to get her way. If you're not on Persilia's company list, be prepared to get taken of advantage as much as possible. She'll use you for what you need, squeeze any use, then drop you and disappear.

She's not the best with words, especially in sensitive situations. Persilia never knew how to find the right words to comfort someone, and instead, would try to crack a smile on their solemn face. Sometimes she's successful, while others she isn't. Persilia takes pride in her ability to haggle and negotiate well. She's adaptable to situations and will hit where its sensitive as soon as she finds a weak spot. At first glance, Persilia seems like every other youth. A hard-working expendable being. But, spark an interest in her and you'll be opened to a whole new world.

Persilia uses dark humor, making fun of situations that most would look down upon. She can't help it, as she lacks a certain empathy for most situations. She's persuasive and dominating, which tends to make others shy of words while around her. Because she steps up in situations and will hold her voice above everyone else, people tend to allow her to take a leader-like position. She's anything but a doormat and will be damned if you try using her as one. While she finds pushovers to be lowly, she can't help but use them for her personal benefit until they snap. One of Persilia's favorite hobbies is throwing people off or catching them off-guard. She's a fairly nosy and gossipy being, so it's no wonder she has trained her eyes to spot the small things. She strives to be anything but predictable.

𝄢

Appearance

Persilia has a fine, defined heart-shaped face with a delicate jawline and protruding, yet soft cheekbones. She bears an average, round hairline that stems out into, thick, healthy locks that cascade down her back, stopping in lanky curls near her hips. Her eyebrows are of a slight S-shape, on the thinner side but they're still plenty noticeable. Her ears bear an almond shape, tilting in a cat-like build that brings out her dark wavy lashes. Her nose isn't a notable one, but it still exists. No matter the size of it. It's a button shape, with no precise or specifying features, other than the small tilt on the bridge of her nose that favors her left side. Her lips are cupid-shaped, almost full yet they remain in their semi-rigid arcs.

Persilia, being a small human overall, bears a sharp, delicate collarbone that shows easily. This adds to her fragile, slim neck, yet its quite the opposite in reality. She has small shoulders and chest, with her body extending in a semi-teardrop shape due to her womanly features. Her hips protrude on either side, the only way you could tell her body different from a man and a woman. She's thin, yet not unhealthily so. She has the right amount of muscle in her arms, yet she isn't any bodybuilder for sure. She bears her father's youthful and willowy look, minus the tall. Her torso is flat, if not a bit chubby on the sides that fluctuates her curves. Her hands, much like the rest of her thin-boned looks, are of a delicate / soft appearal. The fingers stem out and are quite lanky in comparison to others, yet they fit well on Persilia. They're aged with work, yet still soft, presenting her youth. Her legs are the longest part of her, with her torso being a close second. There's nothing special, other than the occasional nick and scar from previous injuries. Almost breaching the height of 5'1, and with a flat, solid weight of 100lbs, Persilia is on the smaller side.

Her skin is of a pale olive coloration, taking more from her mother's side rather than her father's. It's soft and clear of any freckles, except for a birthmark on her right eye, closer to her ear than anything else. The colors of Persilia's eyes are a deeper, richer blue color, sometimes mistaken for being an off-color grey. They're framed by big, dark lashes that shadow her dark eyes even more. Her lips are a pale salmon hue, matching her overall caucasian skin tone. They have a slight discoloration on one side, given a scar resided there. Although faint, it is noticeable. If viewed from the side, you could see a physical notch, although its not too obvious. Her hair is a deep onyx color, trailing down her sides in smooth, loose, thick curls, like an inky, somewhat coily sea. They are the darkest feature on her, and one of her most attractive colors. She was born of such a rich raven black that it couldn't help but stand out against her olive skin tone.

Presilia treasures her accessories. Who doesn't? She tends to thrive in jewels that bring out her beauty. Any color she manages to fit in, although blues and whites tend to be her favorites, as it connects her more to the airy-oceany feel of Pahtha. If at a respectable place, she'll throw on everything she has, like a magpie in heaven. One of her prized possessions is a silvery-linked necklace that wraps around the nape of her neck and dips down to her chest. The front piece bears beautiful, glittering, pale jewels that define her collarbone. She tends to reveal her forearms plenty whilst playing music, so, among her wrists can vary at loops of silvers and pale golds, with some pale jewels of different colors hanging down by the palm of her hands. Her fingers steal the show with their plentiful rings, almost an obscene amount. Thick, and usually plain silvers planted on the index, middle finger, and pinkie. There isn't a place you cant find a jewel on Persilia, but when she wants her precious babies tucked away, there isn't a chance you're going to be able to find them.

Persilia won't deny it, being fashionable has its perks, but when she prefers to go less noticeable, she'll take on a cloak. This doesn't mean her cloak will go unnoticed. It's of a black coloration and bears a round hood with small tufts that cover her shoulders and droop down just past her chest. Its simple at first glance, yet elegant at the second. Something that personifies Persilia. Under that cloak, she bears a refined, yet plain white wool tunic tucked together at the waist with a leather strap. The tunic is airy and flexible, yet not obnoxiously so. the sleeves are cuffed and grippy, yet easily maneuverable. For legwear, Persilia goes on the tighter, yet flexible panting. Usually it's a simple, dark shade, but she doesn't tend to pay too much attention to it. Finally, her footwear consists of slightly heeled leathered boots with round ends and of dark brown coloration. Nothing fancy on the lower end, yet she tries to keep it in tip-top shape.

Likes

Persilia has gained a preference to seafood, given she grew up in the country closest to the ocean.

Sailing is one of her specialties, and she'll do it without complaint. Although, fishing is another matter.

Tall men and women. She can't get enough of them.

Spices, trying out different foods. Especially when they're exotic or completely weird.

Seeing differing cultures, hence her want to travel.

She enjoys vast, open spaces, much like lakes, valleys, and above all, the ocean. She's adaptable to enclosed ones and won't crumble at a change in her favorite environment.

Those who understand her darker sense of humor, or, even appreciate it.

Dislikes

Do-gooders. She bears a sense of jealousy over them, instead of awe. She doesn't really know why, and finds it petty of herself.

Spotlight-stealers. If you steal the stage, prepare for an all out competition.

Being ignored. One thing to tick off Persilia is being ignored. Given that she looks like shes on the weaker, smaller side, she gets livid when you choose to not pay her even a glance when she wishes to talk to you straight in the eye.

Stubbornness. Although Persilia is stubborn herself, when put against another dominating hothead, its an all out battle.

Strengths

Persilia is a good swimmer, growing up in Pahtha has taught her that much.

Her agility and use of her legs come in handy with running, slipping through tight spaces, and climbing/balancing. While other, heavier beings would struggle doing so.

Conversationalist. It comes natural to Persilia to find some passion about a person and stick to it, sparking a conversation, either for the hell of it or for her personal benefits.

Weaknesses

Easily distracted. Throw a pretty face at Persi and she'll immediately forget what she was doing, no matter the situation.

Animals. She can't understand them, and doesn't want them. She doesn't favor them, nor do they her. Hence her terrible horseman skills. She'd rather stick to walking.

Physical limits. There's only so much her little body can handle, and usually, its less than those on the taller scale.

Family

Persilia was born from a mother who already had other children. She was the step-sister to them all. They all took their seperate ways after their mother had passed.

Thryn ~ Older brother ~ 29 ~ Moved on

Krix ~ Older brother ~ 32 ~ Moved on

Jassid ~ Older brother ~ 30 ~ Moved on

Faeishn ~ Older Sister ~ 27 ~ Moved on

Other Relationships

Velarie Akshiea

Persilia had quite the encounter with this woman, but like most interactions with Persi, it didn't turn out pretty. Afterall, they were opposites and the only thing attracted was displeasement toward the other. While she doesn't want to be at the end of Ari's fist, given that the girl could easily trump her in a battle of strength, she won't mind pulling her hair when it comes to anything. Neither trusts the either, and Persilia, personally, didn't enjoy how reserved and emotionally repressed she was when it came to trust. Their meeting may have come out from the graces of Ari's kindness, but leave something sweet to Persilia and she'll turn it sour in no time.

Open, pm

Backstory

Persilia's birth mother was indeed, seduced by the god Ydur. His morph was handsome, and the man himself was irresistible. How could she not? Now the other children may have forgiven their mother over time, but the father held a life-long grudge. Especially against the demi-god, Persilia. No matter how hard her mother attempted to let Persilia fit in, she couldn't. It wasn't like Persilia was normal, either. She was a demi-god. A bastard. One who shouldn't have happened and would disgrace her family onto a social neglection, as they did hold little authority, they still had a pedistool they set for themselves.

Thus, Persilia wasn't favored by her step-father. All she did was remind him of the whoring his mother had committed to with a supposed 'God'. By the age of 15, Persilia set out on her own, wishing to discover or even see her father. Her mother described him, but vaguely so. It angered her that he could be roaming among the humans, and yet she'd be oblivious to his being. Infuriating. But she managed to get through her grudge, and eventually gave up on it. Her father either watched over her, watching her fickle desires go to waste, or she was simply another one of his children. Born with the gift for instruments, it was no wonder Persilia made a benefit from it. Playing on the streets to playing in social gatherings paid her well. She eventually joined a stage of actors that dramatized and played with the idea of theatre. Her music was gifted, yet she remained to go unnoticed when she wanted. Never accepting a title to go by. Anonymous and yet in plain sight. Just like her father.

ꕥ VELARIE "ARI" AKSHIEA ꕥ

Female | 25 | Child of Megaera | Resident of Kraeigos

Abilities/Affinity

-- King of the Beasts --

Ari has the unique ability of being capable of speaking with animals. She can enter conversation with any creature around her as simply and easily as a human, though not necessarily as smoothly; they still react as animals do and go by their instincts as animals, nevermind that many tend to be confused. Ari's gotten pretty good at either sweet-talking, bargaining with or scaring into submission those she comes into contact with, though.

-- Daughter Nature --

Ari is able to sense the condition that any living being is in. How hungry it is, how thirsty it is, the details of the wounds or sicknesses it may have - just about anything regarding how the being is doing at the moment. Her power doesn't tell her the source of these things or how to solve them, but she can do a quick checkup on plant, animal and human alike if it's needed.

Sexuality

Asexual lesbian

Personality

Ari is kind at heart. She’s quite gentle, her smile being as warm as her words. Always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile on her face, she'll lend support where it's needed and leave into the sunset once it's done. Though she excels at physical support, she’ll aid emotionally when needed, but don’t expect her to stick around — despite her kindness, there’s always a catch, and Ari is still human.

For one, she still gets annoyed. Always taught to be helpful and kind, she still acts like that to everyone, even when that someone starts to get on her nerves and her gentle smile begins to become strained. She isn’t immune to being irritated, and her kindness isn’t immune to being broken, either — Ari tries her best to give good advice and make sure the people around her do ‘t end up hurt or dead, but she’ll usually only keep reckless people out of trouble to an extent, and at some point her words will start to have a bite to them when people stop listening to her.

That isn’t the reason why you wouldn’t find Ari with one person for too long, though. It’s simply a matter of trust — and Ari doesn’t trust anyone she doesn’t know, plain and clear. It’s difficult to earn her trust and just about impossible to earn it back. Once she’s been backstabbed once, there’s no going back. Ari’s passionate, and quite a lot of that passion goes into giving the cold shoulder for whom her trust had shattered a long time ago.

You know what more of her passion goes into, though? The people she does trust. When you’ve got her trust, you have a friend for life. Ari is loyal to almost a fault. People would be surprised by how morally gray she can be, and they often are — once Ari has a debt to pay, she’ll stick around just about forever until she can pay it, no matter how dark that person’s ambitions may be. She’ll still be her kind old self, sure, but no one said she didn’t still have the ambition to fight and kill. Anyway, did you know she owns a horse?

Appearance

Standing at a solid 5'11 with a 181 lb. weight, Ari quite the imposing figure. Her weight is mainly muscle with a healthy amount of fat -- she doesn't have defined abs due to the fact she wasn't actively working for any and didn't burn any more fat than she needed to, but her muscle makes itself quite clear enough in her arms, really. Her legs are less muscular, but still have a bit of bulk to them -- added to her height and her legs being a bit longer than her torso, she has a highly athletic build, though it's more on the bulky side, most certainly. She has a naturally curvy hourglass figure given to her from her mother's side, though it's partially evened out due to her muscular build.

Ari has a head of 2b hair, brown so dark it almost appears black. It's cut messily, having been chopped off at her neck as to not get in the way, though it's grown out considerably since then, now landing at a few inches below her shoulders. Her hair often falls in her face, wavy black strands framing her round face and almond-shaped eyes awarded to her from her father’s side. Her skin is dark and rich, lightly dusted with freckles that highlight her bright, warm green eyes with lovely flecks of hazel that appear if you peer closely enough. Her skin is not unmarred, however — she has several scars earned during skirmishes with the animals she’s come across in her lifetime, as well as a few burns and scrapes from mistakes out in the field and in her home. She bears her scars proudly, though, often wearing sleeveless clothes and putting all of the marks on her arms on show.

Most of her fashion is colorful — not necessarily amazing as she often ruins it in her trips outside, but she does have quite a variety. Most are simplistic, but she has two beautiful outfits, one a bright, embroidered, feminine grown made of the finest furs and silks, dyed an emerald green to match her eyes — a gift from her father. The other is an equally fine deep blue tunic, on the more masculine side so that she may explore however she pleases.

Likes

+ Animals - Ari is an animal lover, as is a given. She admires how wild and free the creatures are — their instinct and the power with which they hunt, the fact they make amazing friends as well as they do foes… All the while, they hold no ill intent to those around them, merely doing their best to survive. They’re admirable in every aspect, and Ari respects them quite a bit.

+ Plants - As yet another given, Ari adores plants and taking care of them. They allow her to use her nurturing side without the threat of being backstabbed, and not only that, but they give back without fail so long as Ari doesn’t fail them. The beauty of nature never ceases to amaze her.

+ Hunting and gathering - Ah, the circle of life! Ari doesn’t mind the death of an animal or the plucking of nature so long as it’s used for its intended purposes — aiding in survival. She’s in awe of how different parts of the environment could be used to make such masterpieces as that that is manmade.

+ Fashion - Ari is quite the fan of the art of clothing. To design such pretty things while still giving them a practical use! She’s in awe of how the different sorts of clothes can be built to withstand and aid in certain types of whether while also being quite beautiful, all while taking advantage of the resources of nature. What a wonder.

Dislikes

- People she doesn’t know - She doesn’t necessarily dislike them, per se, but she definitely dislikes the concept of them. She doesn’t know anything about their nature, never-mind what’s behind that — she wouldn’t turn her back on them for a second.

- Bug killers - If you aren’t going to eat them and they weren’t doing anything to you, then what the hell is the point?

- Overly sweet things - She isn’t very used to it and it tends to make her gag. She just really, really isn’t a fan. She prefers salty things, anyhow.

- Taking advantage of things - This is the one thing Ari cannot handle in the least. Being taken advantage of is the worst crime a person can pull, and taking advantage of others is a surefire way to lose her favor. She won’t kill you, no, but if you do this and you were hanging off the edge of a cliff, she wouldn’t even look your way.

Strengths

+ Strong - No explanation needed.

+ Good with animals - She can communicate them, obviously, but she also knows how to handle most of them, especially livestock and horses.

+ Good with a bow and arrow - It’s a trademark of her hometown, so she was taught since childhood how to use them. She’s quite a sight to behold with one.

+ Good at working with materials - This is more of a hobby, but she knows how to use bare materials to create a plethora of things, as it’s one of her interests.

Weaknesses

- Trust issues - She doesn’t trust anyone unless she already knows them, and is pretty quick to leave once the person’s out of trouble.

- Repressed - She represses her rage until it’s ready to bubble up and over. She usually saves it until she gets home and uses it to rage-work, but sometimes, she isn’t able to.

- Clumsy with a dagger or knife - She’s fine with hand to hand, but a dagger is both short range and tiny as hell. How is she supposed to use this?

Family

Her father, Pontu. He’s a single father after her mother died, as far as she knows.

Other Relationships

Ari met Persilia on a lovely day, though it pretty quickly turned sour as the girl turned out to be annoying and nosy. Her social battery drained pretty quickly with this girl, and at the moment, Ari wouldn't touch her with a 10 foot poll. Not quite bitter enough to let harm come to her on her watch quite yet, but certainly enough that she wouldn't be there in the first place to see it if she had the chance to. No, she's going to stay as far, far away as possible from Persilia as long as she has the option.

Backstory

Ari grew up on a simple farm in the marshlands. Her father was a farmer — he farmed rice and other crops, and he took care of livestock, as well. It soon became overwhelming for the man, so he had his daughter help him as soon as she grew old enough. From a young age, she helped out here and there on the farm, and as she grew, she learned to use the items at her disposal and how to netter care for the livestock, aided by her abilities to see what was wrong with them when they grew ill and to speak with them like she did a human.

Her father expected her to be special, but he didn’t expect the powers.

Ari didn’t get an explanation for her abilities, and she never asked. This was her life, and it helped them both. So long as that was true, she was happy.

As she grew, she learned more about their culture as she mingled with the people (her father told her not to speak to the animals in front of them. Ever obedient a child, she listened) and grew a love for helping others as she aided her father and saw what a load it lifted off his back. Happy, she did more and more — she helped in physical labor to make sure that his old bones could rest, helped in processing the groups as she learned how to use raw materials, helped in talking to him when he felt down and caring for him when he was ill.

They didn’t have much, but they cared for each other. As they grew older, Ari started going on out of town trips — it started with her father sending her out to sell the crops and meat, and as time passed and she aided more people, she grew a love for travel. For now, she travels around the land and helps her father whenever she's home, though that's soon to change.

Other

The horse’s name is Daisy. She is very sweet and cool.

RP Sample

You know it, from To Rid of Hunger.

Planned activity level/How many roleplays are you in?

Just the one, really. Two if you count one that might still be alive, but I’m not sure. Either way, I’ve got about six hours of free time every day, though more on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Thank you. (Sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't have put the Sir Froggington signature colors on it, but then what would I have chose? More decisions) Yeah, this was pretty heavily inspired on Greek stuff. Is everyone okay if I try to give you a character personality that goes against what you normally do?

I'm good with that, aha! It'd probably be good for me if I separated from what I normally do for a bit, so I don't mind.

Not okay with full on changes, but adjustments to fit their godly parent are A-okay with me!

I'd be fine with that ^^
I figured we'd base our personalities mainly off of the parents and I wont complain about going outside my comfort zone for my character

Here is the discussion thread.

I realized that I am mainly basing demi-god personalities off of their parent and the country they come from, so that's probably how I'm going to mix it up.
