Name: Dimitri Atticus Raine
Nicknames: N/A as of the moment. Feel free to come up with some.
Age (23- 26): 23
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Uncertain
Role: Medic
Appearance: The first thing one would notice when looking at Dimitri is the most glaringly obvious part, naturally. Namely, he suffers a condition called "oculocutaneous albinism", generally well known for its effects on the person affected's physical appearance. It's especially obvious in Dimitri, resulting in his relatively pale blue eyes and far paler skin, along with platinum blonde hair that might as well be white with how little color is left in it. The condition also comes with a high sensitivity to sun and bad eyesight, though Dimitri's lucky enough that his eyesight is better than most people than albinism (though certainly not great). The same, however, cannot be said for the sunlight part.
That, of course, isn't the only trait that he has. His facial features are somewhat angular, proven in his triangular face. He has a sloping jaw with a smaller chin and upturned eyes, framed by wispy hair only slightly longer than the average short, but still not long enough to reach his shoulders. It falls wildly, only tamed enough that it doesn't fall in his eyes and obstruct his already somewhat poor vision. His eyebrows are thin, still noticeable thanks to the fact they're lighter than his skin, but equally startling because of it. His skin is generally unblemished beyond a small scar on his jaw and a few burn scars on his chest where no one would see so long as he's wearing a shirt.
In figure, Dimitri is still relatively angular - he's thin and lithe, but hardly muscular in the least. Beyond his upper body resembling a thinner triangle with his broader shoulders, he's generally rectangular in form - flat and not much else. He stands at a rather average 5'7. His legs are long and limber, and his hands are similarly so, his fingers being thin and graceful in a manner that it's clear to see that he's particularly good with his hands. Generally, he's average in physique beyond his features that make him as dexterous as he is.
Dimitri tends to dress tamely; he doesn't have much of a like for fashion, so he generally just wears plain clothes. For the excavation trip, however, he decided to try to make more of an impression (though he sort of gave up part of the way through, but let's not talk about that). he chose a crimson button-up with the hindsight he'd likely have to deal with quite a bit of blood. He didn't bother to button up the first few buttons, nor fix his collar, so the white shirt he wore underneath is clear to see. His button-up shirt sleeves are rolled up to a bit above his elbows, revealing his black gloves that go midway up his forearm. He has a black bag draped over him with all of his medical supplies (and a journal for recording anomalies) in it, ending at his waist. Right next to it is a simple white parasol strapped to his belt, intended to keep away sunlight just in case (though unlikely thanks to the place they were going. Better safe than sorry, though). He also wears a pair of black dress pants, ending low enough that they cover most of the hiking boots that he'd chosen to wear for the occasion.
Personality: Dimitri is a very, very strange man. He's fairly passive by nature, generally willing to go along with the orders. not necessarily to the point of dependence, but more so because he doesn't really think twice when people ask him of things. He doesn't speak to people much without prompting; someone generally has to initiate the conversation or give some sort of prompt for him to speak, or otherwise, he won't bother. This rule is only broken when the conversation topic is something he's interested in, in which case he'll talk like you've never seen him talk before. This stands with when he needs to do his job - you'll find him then either telling the people around him to shut up, or barking orders if he finds himself needing help.
On those rare occasions where you do find him speaking, you'll generally find that he's one to speak his mind. That doesn't necessarily mean he's mean all of the time - in fact, the majority of the time, his thoughts lean more towards the ominous. That doesn't mean he has a sharp tongue at all, however; if someone's doing something stupid, he'll always be there to point it out, or at the very least raise an eyebrow. He's more than willing to get into shenanigans if people are willing to drag him into it, though - he's found himself a newfound taste for adventure, and he's more than willing to do anything to quench it. Just because he thinks something is silly doesn't mean he's not willing to do it, so long as somebody asks.
Dimitri is quite intelligent, though he's far more book-smart than he is street-smart. He has a great memory and ability to absorb information and generally learn quickly, and he already knows quite a lot out of what's taught at schools, but he's not so good at getting around and knowing who to trust and the like. He more than makes up for that with his determination and resilience, though; he'll work away at any weakness he has so long as he notices (which isn't very often, admittedly, but he's working on that, too).
Strengths (Equal number to weaknesses):
+ Highly dexterous and nimble
+ Steady hand; good with small movements
+ Intelligent
+ Determined
Weaknesses:
- Bad eyesight
- Sensitivity to light
- Not very strong at all
- Will probably do whatever you tell him to
Fears (Minimum of four):
- Failure (worst fear)
- Being immobilized
- The uncomprehensible (I can elaborate if you'd like, but basically things that seem scientifically impossible freak him out)
- Burning alive (doesn't bother him when it's anybody but himself)
Affiliations:
June Bell Moone - To Dimitri, June is just about the ideal coworker. She's respectable, good at her job, and adaptable, and her more adventurous traits are very much fit for the job. Though he doesn't have many thoughts on her beyond that, he finds that she acts the most like what he'd expect out of an actual coworker than any of the talkative cast he'd found himself working with.
Victoria Valentina Viola - Dimitri doesn't particularly have an opinion on Victoria. Despite her admittable charisma and her clear intent to socialize with the group, all Dimitri has really seen of her was laughs and cheery conversations from afar, and he has no plans to close that gap.
Calixte Bonnaire - Calixte is one of the friendlier people among the group, and Dimitri seems to enjoy that well enough. They have a fairly good relationship, as Dimitri is more than willing to follow along with his conversation topics while not asking too many questions, himself. He seems to enjoy himself well enough when talking to the man as of so far, at least.
Marijana Elena Marjanovic - Dimitri is entirely and utterly neutral on Elena. She's young, which is jarring to Dimitri, considering he'd expected everybody else to be 30+ for the experience factor. She's also kindhearted, which Dimitri couldn't care less about, but she seems to be a hard worker, a fact that he can respect. Otherwise, he doesn't have much to say about her.
Samael Bone - Samael is most certainly the most discourteous of the group, not that Dimitri really cares, either. Samael is another person that he takes a neutral stance on, surprisingly enough - his rudeness doesn't seem to shake Dimitri in the slightest, but then, neither does kindness. He takes his teasing just fine, though probably uninterestingly to the other man.
Alexis D. George Sanchez - Alexis seems the most similar to Dimitri if he were a little more. Not sure what, but certainly more. He doesn't mind the zoologist and respects their enthusiasm for their line of work, but hasn't really bothered to get to know them much beyond that.

Backstory (optional): Dimitri was born into a well-off family somewhere in Britain in 1930, where he stayed inside most of the time due to his condition and his parents' fears of him being ostracized, as well as fear regarding his more problematic symptoms. Thanks to his family's considerable wealth, he was given a tutor to give him his basic education as well as help him deal with his poor vision. He quickly learned how to be able to feel out smaller details that he couldn't make out using his sense of touch, and thanks to an excessive amount of free time with absolutely nothing else to do but practice, he used tamer activities like sewing and collaging and similar things until he found himself with great skill with dexterous activities.
He eventually gained an interest in medical work; he was particularly interested in injury and its effects on the human body, which naturally led to learning how to heal it. At 13, he displayed a near prodigal knowledge of medical practices. His parents quickly took advantage of this and sent him to classes where he could better learn this craft and learn other forms of medical work (i.e. psychology and illnesses, which he’s less adept at but still very much competent). Thanks to his skill with his hands and his knowledge, he became a great doctor. Having stayed inside for most of his life, he made up for it by travelling around a bit with the help of a parasol; eventually, he ended up in South America, where he ran into Victor and was given a proposition.
Other: Apologies for the lackluster descriptions, I far prefer drawing over describing appearances and I just made this character so I don't have so great of a grasp on the personality yet. If you'd like me to change anything, do let me know.
