Violet nodded, and continued to walk. She kept glancing around, obviously waiting for some signal. She shook her head, before huddling up next to Jack. "It sure is cold..luckily you came along," There is was again- The eerie tone. Violet stopped as they neared the cities edge. "Last chance to say no!" She yipped, waiting to see if he was going to stay.

"I'm comming with you no matter what!" Jack replied. This time Jack did notice the eerie tone, but didn't think much of it at then the time. "Well let's go!" He was excited to get going with violet, excited to leave the city. Jack didn't even think much of his sister, in fact he wasn't the least bit worried about her. She can take care of herself, That was his reasoning. Edited at June 6, 2021 12:42 AM by Hurricane blizzards

Violet brushed up to Jack, smiling. "You know,,I do like you," She said, rather quietly. Her eyes flicked back over to a bush, telling the canine in it to stand down. (Writers block )

"I like you too," Jack smiled feeling content. Jack could smell another canine somewhere but he knew the city was full of strays, so probably shouldn't worry much. (Oof writers block aswell)

Violet nuzzled into Jack's neck, smiling. "So, want to pick up the pace?" She looked over at him, tilting her fluffy head, picking up to a fast trot. "Come on, im not waiting, slowpoke!" The female joked, before she burst off into a run into the field.

"Hey you got a head start! No fair!" Jack laughed chasing after her. As he ran he could feel the wind through his fur. It felt nice to have some fun, especially with violet. Jack wanted to tell her that he loved her, but he was afraid of what she's might say.

Violet looked up at the almost pale sky. Its colors morphed into this tyrant of an eye, showing the worst of the storm was still yet to come. Luckily the mountains were only a few days away if they walked, running, they could get there in a good 24 hours. She slowed down, developing a limp. Darn, what did I do to my paw? Violet then sat down and looked at the grass. Apparently she had been leaving bloody footprints and she didnt even know it! With a whine, she looked at her paw to see that a rock was wedged between her paw pads.
