Steven was still in shock, "I-I don't know what to say" He mumbled, nuzzling Oak back. "Thank you" His eyes were wide and he couldn't stop his tail from flopping back and forth.

Oak giggled slightly.

"I know you deserve it. I need to go now, see you later, beta!" She called as she hurried away to the other females. As she left with her friends, she saw Beku watching Steven with almost a jealous look. She wasn't sure why. It was obvious he was not ready to be a full on beta. Even acting beta had been hard for him. Then it vanished and she forgot about the look.

*cough cough*

Steven smiled and turned to look at Beku, who glared at him. Steven snorted and walked up to him, "If you still want hunting or fighting lessons, ask me" he muttered, walking away.

"I sure will." Beku said back. He felt jealousy in him. He wanted the attention of the pack. Why did Steven have to get it? Ugh. Beku didn't really want to be beta- it was too much responsiblity, but he wanted to be in the spotlight. Sighing, he wandered away into the forest to work on his hunting.

Oaken stretched herself as she headed back to the omegas den. She was slightly tired, and decided to rest. It wasn't like she was needed for anything. Beku was off hunting and Steven was beta now. He wouldn't have time for her anymore. Shaking her head, Oak wondered why her thinking had wandered so far. Shrugging, she settled down in the den.

Steven told a few wolves to go off and hunt and another group to go off on patrol. He himself was tired and worn out. He wanted to go find Oak but he couldn't find her in the normal den. He dissapointedly walked into the Alpha's den and into the small dugout for the Betas'.

Oak slept through the majority of the day, then awoke at evening. Slightly bored she left for a quick hunt before it got too late. Her thoughts were full of Genni, Beku, and Steven. Distracted, she only managed to catch a fat old hare before returning, which she presented to Steven.

Beku returned with a fawn in his mouth. He had managed to catch a couple of rabbts as well, but had already eaten them. As he dropped it onto the food pile, he glanced towards the edge of camp to see his sister returning with a patrol, dragging a deer. Confused, he ran over to her. Before he could talk, she dipped her head to him and smiled slightly.

"Greetings, brother. This patrol found me hunting deer and decided to take me back to their alpha. I knew it was for this pack so I didn't resist them. I'll talk to you again once the alpha finishes with whatever he is going to tell me. I hope I don't get in too much trouble." Genni whispered him.

Beku nodded and glanced at the alphas den before turning away. He grabbed the deer and finished hauling it over to the food pile. Then he settled down where he could watch the alphas den. He wanted to be sure his sister was safe, and also to ask what the alpha said afterwards.

"Nice hare!" Steven grinned proudly at Oak's catch, "I don't think I could've done better" Steven added honestly, glancing at his hind leg, "Since this still isn't healed yet" he grumbled.
