Ekon nodded, he would go with what Anasuri told him to do. Even if he planned on killing her sooner or later, he was still her knight, he still worked for her. "Yes, it hit him, not enough to kill though. I believe there to be at most three people that were there but I am unsure. There was most likely some sort of plot behind it. That was most definitely not a real assassination attempt. They were after some sort of information though I do not know exactly what it was." Ekon was smart but he was not a people person, he did not know what was going through the men's minds. |

"They were most likely testing your powers and range, so that when their plan is real, they know how to beat you," Anasuri said simply, "After all, if they can get through you, I am an easy target." Anasuri was relieved it didn't kill the man. There wouldn't be blood on her hands, at least for today. "I will either need to go back to the woods tomorrow, or send someone..." She mused, more to herself than the ever watching knight. If she could get the blood sample left behind, or better yet, if the archer left his bow when he was shot, then Anasuri might be able to uncover their identities, or at least get a better clue. |

Ekon felt rather stupid, after all, that was something he should've known especially considering his occupation. Though Ekon's smarts came and went like the wind, his power was the only steady thing in his mind. The rest of his brain just felt inconsistent, though Ekon supposed he should be used to it. Not that it truly mattered anyways, knights weren't paid to be smart. Knights were paid to fight and be quick in unexpected situations, both of which were things Ekon had already shown Anasuri he could do. So he was pretty sure he was okay. "I suppose you are right, we must be on guard then. If you ever feel unsafe, please let me know." Ekon knew that Anasuri probably already knew these things but he just wanted to remind her. It was his duty after all. |

Anasuri nodded, still deep in thought. Finally, she decided that she didn't trust anyone to collect the items correctly, and didn't want to put anyone in danger, "We will go back tomorrow - see if there are any clues to their identities at the scene." Anasuri felt the need to justify her actions to Ekon. After all, if something bad were to happent to her, he'd be dead, or he could die protecting her. It was a bad deal either way for him... but she wanted to do this. Anasuri didn't have many skills, but the ones she did have were good. She could do this. |

Ekon nodded, his currently gold eyes flicking over to Anasuri for a moment as he stayed watchful. "Okay, please warn me before we go. I will wear more jewelry than normal as to ensure that you will be safe." In a knight's world, his life was devoted completely to his ward. Their life hardly mattered compared to whatever noble they were protecting. Even though Ekon was sent to kill her, he would never allow someone else to do his job for him. |

i think ts to the next day? early morning? The sun's rays had just started to peak over the horizon when Anasuri knocked on Ekon's door. If she had only been walking around the palace, Anasuri wouldn't have bothered to tell him, but since it was outside after an attack, she would be lying if she said having a knight to protect her wasn't a comforting thought. After knocking, Anasuri double-checked her bag, making sure all of the materials she might need were there. |

Ekon groaned, Dakota gently pushing his nose against Ekon's purple hand. The elf had fallen asleep in the corner chair, reading. It hadn't been very comfortable but exhaustion had overcame him before he could make it to his bed. He was unsure as to why he was so tired, metal bending took no energy, he just was tired.
Ekon strolled over to the door opening it a crack, only his face visible, his white hair flowing down his shoulders. "I will be out in a moment Princess, sorry, I was not awake yet, my fault." His voice sounded a bit deeper than normal, rough from sleep. |

Anasuri shrugged in a very un-princess-like manner, "Oh well," she said, dismissing it with a wave of her hand. It didn't matter what time they left, and Ekon wasn't a super elf, although he was powerful. Everyone needed sleep. |

Ekon nodded, "thank you your highness." With that, the elf pulled back into his room and began to change. Throwing on his more casual armor, metal embedded into cloth, the metal was usable with his power if needed. He loaded up on his bracelets, his earring as well. After quickly throwing his hair together, he slid his sword into its sheath.
He did have an actual sword, though it was just as manipulable (that doesn't sound right but my brain is not working sorry) as his bracelets. Ekon sighed as he finally exited his room, Dakota closely following behind, the huge bear looked just as tired as Ekon. |

Once she heard Ekon exit the room, Anasuri left hers, making sure that the door was secure behind her. There was a leather satchel across her chest that she held a tight grip on, "I didn't tell anyone to prepare our horses. I assume getting your own ready will not be an issue, though." Whenever fresh knights came in they were always surprised that someone got their horse ready. After a year or so of it, they start to take it for granted and except their steed to always be set, and not have to do any work. Anasuri found it quite bothersome. |
