When the lunch bell had rung, the two waited for everyone else to file out before actually getting up and leaving themselves.

Ichiyuu because his anxiety would not have him get into the sea of people and Gwyar because he was not risking the idea of someone trying to fight him because they somehow had heard of his records in the rings.
--
So far, the pair had two classes together. First and the one before lunch. Which was definitely nice, Gwyar would admit.
--
Walking down the hallway, they slipped past people relatively easily. Ichiyuu due mostly to the tricks he picked up as a rogue and Gwyar mostly due to the tricks he’d picked up long before Redcliff back in the rings.

They weren’t too sure what table they were supposed to meet Trevor at, so once they were inside the cafeteria they just went to a corner table that had almost nobody there… There were maybe two people, but they were further down the line. So they doubted it would be a problem.
--
After that, they simply waited for Trevor… The two were not known for their conversation abilities, after all.

When the bell rang for lunch, Adbrei’d waited in his seat at the back of the classroom. He hadn’t really brought a lunch and school lunches always sucked so… He wasn’t in any rush. Except for the fact that he hated the school in general.
--
He paused as he stood from his seat to wonder if the school had a library he could hide in… He couldn’t remember the person telling him about one when they showed him around. Though he hadn’t exactly been listening that much anyways.
--
And then he paused again to wonder how quickly news traveled here… It was a small town, how long would it take for everyone to know that he hadn’t been able to open his own locker? That he’d tripped over his own feet while walking to third period? That he was just about the worst being to ever exist?
--
He didn’t know, he just hoped that it didn’t travel to everyone until tomorrow at least… He forced himself to leave the room, everyone else far gone by now.
--
As soon as he’d stepped into the hallway, he was wishing he hadn’t. It was crowded and loud and there were so many people that could touch him and he wanted out.
--
He backed up and right out of the way of someone that would’ve ran right into him. His breathing was picking up, though the person didn’t even give him a second glance. His back hit a wall and he flinched, for a second mistaking it for a person. It wasn’t, he looked around and tried to find a way through the sea without getting touched… There didn’t seem to be one, why wasn’t there one?
--
He decided to try and move against the wall away from the cafeteria, maybe that would be a safer bet for him. Yeah, he could find a back door and go outside to make his way around to the front. Go to the cafeteria like that.
--
As he was thinking, an elbow ran into his shoulder. He flinched and his breathing went up at least five notches. It’d been an accident, the person just trying to push through the sea to get to lunch at a run. Adbrei knew that, but it didn’t stop his anxiety from rising to the point where he had to stop where he was against the wall to try and calm himself down.
--
By the time he was breathing relatively regularly again, the hallway was void of people. He looked around, trying to squint to remember which way he’d been going before. He decided to go the way he’d been facing, his skin prickling with how empty and quiet the hallway was now…
--
Though the quiet didn’t last for too long, at some point he was able to hear a few voices talking to one another. He wasn’t sure what about, just that it made him freeze and want to turn around and go the other way…
--
And so, that’s what he did. He turned and began walking the other way, hoping to get away from the voices talking before he found out what they were talking about. He didn’t know how far away they were, curse his sensitive hearing, but he didn’t want to risk them being close by.
--
Now that he’d heard them though, it seemed like his mind was fine with making him think he still heard them as he walked away, further and further. He hated it, he hated all of it. His hands were in his pockets again, one hand tightly holding the pocket knife.
--
He could see the doors to the cafeteria come into view, he sighed. He full on, sighed at the sight, at least he wouldn’t have to deal with his mind replaying the tone of the voices hemd heard earlier anymore, there’d be more people to cover it up… He felt his chest constrict at the thought regardless of his relief.
--
And then he felt a hand on his shoulder… He froze; his skin prickling, breath speeding. He didn’t want to look, not when it wasn’t leaving. How hadn’t he heard them? How hadn’t he known they were coming? Were they the same people he’d overheard talking?
--
His eyes closed, his breathing picking up more. Someone was saying something. Something about turning around and looking at them. It was one of the same voices from earlier. He couldn’t turn around, he was frozen and the hand was still on his shoulder.
--
The hand pushed and then he was turning around, feet stumbling behind him. He tried to scramble an apology, his eyes wouldn’t make sense of what was happening. Whatever ended up leaving his mouth didn’t seem to satisfy them, and he only had a split second to put his hands up to block before a fist rammed forward.
--
His back hit a wall, they were talking or maybe yelling but he couldn’t make out the words. He simply kept his arms up to block his head, his breathing too irregular for him to even think of getting out of the situation he was in.
