Kaleb - 19 - Lassie - Rembrandt, Jason, Apache (ind) "Glad ya made it out of there alive, Rembrandt. When Donna gets in a mood, its best te hand her a coffee and back away slowly. She isn't herself til she is on her second cup in the mornin." He will drop the handshake and chuckles. " I can already see yer worryin bout ol'Donna. I had her as a clinician more than once and she is very quick te forget these little things. Like she only rarely mentions the time the LuLu, me dads old mare, dumped me through a fence and bowled her over... I learned that day that a coffee is the best way te get her to turn her frown upside down." . Kaleb will look up as others start to arrive at the barn and sighs. "Finally. I was worried that we were goin te be the only ones here te do chores. I know they are workin on a schedule for the chores rotation, but there were a few last minute changes that made them have te scrap the old one. I think we are in charge of our own horses til the new one is made up." He will nod to Jason as he comes over, rolling his shoulders a little at the other tall guy. " Mornin Jason. How's yer shire teday? I know Lassie is wound up like a spring. She wants te get te work as much as I do." He will glance at the stall where a new kid with a very striking appearance works on a new mare's grooming. " Anyone have any idea who that bloke is? I'm surprised he is here and not rehearsing for some rock performance somewhere." . Skyla- 20 - Iris - Victoria, Lucian, others + Terra (ind) Skyla will be up before the sun, nerves setting in even worse than before. She will get dressed by the light of her cellphone as to not wake Terra so early and slips out into the pre-dawn light. She will head down to the barn, going to make herself a cup of tea using the Kurig in the tack room. She knew the cafe would not be open for another few hours and she really needed something warm to help cool her nerves. Cup in hand, she will head into her mare's stall. . Skyla will spend a long time cleaning off shavings, deciding that the mare was to get a bath because she laid in her own pee. Skyla will get her into the wash stall, bathed and dried off by the time others start to come in. She will wave shyly at Victoria when she comes in to work on her mare, noting the headphones and promptly getting ignored. She will get Iris rebraided and bagged up before going to grab her English tack for the day. She will pause by Helios' stall and murmurs, "Morning Lucian... Helios ok today?" She will curse the quiver in her voice, but she is trying to at least talk to the one person who does not scare her right at this moment. |

Árón-40- Bubba-Belladonna- courtyard . "Well Miss, seems Bubba decided he want'd a break from the fences and took a turn for Pleasure Driving. Old boy really looks good with a cart behind him... that and I don't look te shabby in a suit. Still wore a stetson as it only seemed right." . He chuckles and looks over to the barn and the flurry of activity as students finally seem to be going about getting their horses ready for the day. Noting a few fine horses he will stop though when he hears a Scottish accent from a pair of lads across the way. . He let's loose a shrill high whistle. "MacRae! Front and center on over here lad, don't keep me waitin' or I'll phone your father..". . He shakes his head, and steps a tiny bit closer to Donna. Their hips now touching. "You'd think the lad was avoiding me or somethin'.." He snorts and sips his own coffee. "Is not like I scared that Lassie of his a fee more times than I can count at the booths of clinics... jus' proving she needed more bomb proofin' " |

Lucian-20-Helios-Skyla- barn . "Oh.. hi there". There is a momentary flush before Lucian clears his throat. "Yes.. he's fit and ready to go... I'm just glad I didn't have to do really much other than spot cleaning..... thank goodness for green out spot remover". . He takes a deep sigh and will look to the courtyard and and pales a little. Looking a little flummoxed he swallows. . shit..... its Coach Callahan!.. what the... is he an instructor?? Oh no...... I hope he doesn't get to riled up... I don't know if Skyla could handle that... . "Um..... so... I'm assuming Ms Iris went and laid in her own mess... poor girl... at least her coat is short enough it seemed to dry rather fast" . He moves out into the hall and motions towards the adults in the drive.. . "Did you see those two?... I'm assuming teachers.... " |

Teddy - 19 - Solkatt Fuck, it was morning. When yesyerday Teddy decided to rest her jetlagged eyes in Sol's stable, she had only thought that it might turn out to be a 5 minute nap, not a 12 hour full nights' sleep. Rubbing her eyes, Teddy stood up and stretched. Hopefully, the other studens would just assume that she had just arrived into the barn, not that she had broken some of the academy's golden rules.
After feeding Sol, and giving him a morning brush, Teddy walkedd confidently over to the main building in yesterdays clothes. RUnning up the stairs and into her room, Teddy was surprised to see that she had yet no roomate. Maybe she'd be luch and no one would arrive. Without a care, she dug through her clothing trunk, hanging up her show wear and throwing on a pair of dark brown breeches and her tall lace up dark brown boots and a simple polo, she hastily brushed her teeth- she'd live without breakfast, and back she raced down the stairs and sped into the barn.
Now that she was ready, Ted walked into the tack room and Brought out Sol's Hermés kit and tacked him up with a white saddle pad under. Taking the reins in her hands, she led him out of the barn and into the courtyard. SHe hadn't had time yesterday to consult the map, so she went to the small sign post in the corner in order to know where to go. |

Terra-19-Angelica-open-barns, then courtyard After her breakfast, it was time to get ready for class. Terra's first class was jumping. It wasn't cross country, but at least it wasn't dressage. Terra knew some dressage moves, since her father owned a dressage barn, and Angelica knew the basics, but neither of them had the patience for it. Terra much preferred the feeling of flying when Angelica was jumping.
Terra made her way back to the barn, avoiding conversation at all costs. Terra slipped into the tack room, grabbing her freshly cleaned tack. Angelica had many practice square pads, but today's was navy blue. Angelica looked good in dark colors, as most light colored horses did. With a white saddle pad, and soft leather saddle and bridal, Angelica was ready for the courses. Angelica loved the bit, since it meant she was going to run. Oftentimes, today included, it was a struggle to keep the bit away from Angelica until the bridal was ready. Angelica pinned her ears when Terra next moved to tighten the girth. Angelica always pinned her ears when her girth was being tightened, but she never acted out. It was for this reason that Terra was comfortable tacking Angelica in her stall. Besides, both horse and rider were more comfortable this way. After Angelica was ready, Terra guided them through the barn to the adjoining courtyard. Angelica was excited, but thanks to yesterday's lunge, she was able to stand still. |

Teddy - 19 - Solkatt - Terra
Turning on her heels, Teddy spied a short girl just coming out from the barn. Perhaps she knew the lay of the land, Teddy thought. Leading Sol beside her, Teddy walked towards her. She was leading a flaxen mare beside her- Teddy loved flaxens and her late horse was himself a liver flaxen.
Speeding up, Teddy approached the small girl and her horse. Her horse towered over her, standing almost a foot taller at the withers that ints owner. "Excuse me, do you know where to find a map of this place? I'm not fluent in its layout quite yet." Teddy asked, hoping this girl knew more than she herself.

Terra-19-Angelica-Teddy Terra had to stifle a sigh when a girl approached her. Was it too much to ask for people to leave her alone? Luckily, the girl only wanted a map. Terra stopped, Angelica content for the moment, and pulled a folded map from her pocket. "Where are you trying to go?" Terra herself had to get to the jumping arena soon, so it would be best to help the girl out, instead of letting her figure it out herself. Angelica started pawing at the ground, anxious start moving. The girl had a pretty dappled Warmblood, built up enough to hint at being a jumper. Terra was mildly impressed, but that was all she would allow herself to feel. . Alina-18-Quinn-open-barn Jumping! Quinn knew how to jump, but Alina could barely do anything more than cross rails. This was going to be a disaster. After a quick breakfast of a bagel, Alina went to the barn to do her morning chores. The barn was full of other kids doing chores and tacking up horses. Alina followed suit, picking the stall and filling Quinn's water bucket. It didn't take very long, Alina was used to cleaning stalls, and was quite good at it.
Next, Alina tacked up Quinn, bringing her out of the stall to the crossties. For training, Alina had many colorful pads, and decided to go sky blue today. Quinn's blue roan went well with the light blue and black saddle. Quinn also got black polo wraps. Always had, and always will. |

Teddy - 19 - Solkatt - Terra "I'm headed towards the cross-country tracks, I want to get a hack in as well as some easy jumps.". Teddy paused, and introduced herself then proceded to thank "Terra" for the map.
Looking down at the map, Teddy saw that she and Sol were headed east past the outdoor jumping course into the surrounding fields. Walking towards a common mounting block, she mounted Sol. She was a tall thing at 17hh, about 172cm at the withers- taller than she herself so there was never a chance for her to get up on her from the ground- plus that was bad for her back, both hers and her horses.
Giving rein to her horse Teddy let Sol go at a relaxed pace, letting her find her bearing of the block. In the end, they both reached the course. Urging Solkatt into a long gaited trot, Teddy spied their first jump. It was a low easy log, and Ted noticed no faults. Going into an easy canter, Sol flew over the log then proceded the give a small buck- Sol was home- he loved nothing more than to jump. |

Donna - T-Bird - Aron, Kaleb, students (ind) - Barn "Oh stop with the Miss crap. It's Donna to you and everyone else, Aron. Or do you want me shouting your last name across the arena when I remind you to keep your heels down? And driving? I never thought I would see you willingly be out of the saddle unless you were in a full body cast." She chuckles to herself as she sees the boys gathering in the aisle. When Callahan calls one of them over, her eyes spark a little. "How do you know Kaleb? The boy bowled me over when he got thrown through a fence at a clinic I was giving... Spilled my coffee everywhere..." She grumbles, blue eyes laser focused on the bulky Scot as he jogs up, leaning against Callahan just a tiny bit possessively. . Kaleb - 19 - Lassie - Aron, Donna, Jason, Rembrandt (ind.) - Barn Kaleb winces at the whistle, since he had not heard the teachers come back in. At the shout, he will look to the other boys. "Shit, that's Mr Callahan. I got te go. See ye later." He turns and jogs over, stopping just before the Irishman. . " No need te call me da, sir. I was jest talking te me fellow classmates and didn't see ja come in. Are ye teachin here, Sir?" He stands at mock attention, a bright smile on his face up at one of the men he idolizes in the field. He glances at how close he is to Donna and cocks his head. "Sir, if I may be so bold... Did ye actually catch yerself a lassie? Ye seem pretty close te Ms Donna." He winces again as Donna's glare bores into him, but he keeps his eyes on Callahan. . Skyla - 20 - Iris - Lucian - Barn Skyla flushes at Lucian's words, ducking her head a little in embarrassment. " She always does... I just know every morning I have to come in early to hose her off... Im used to it, unfortunately." She glances in the direction of the courtyard and pales. . "Oh... Oh no... I'm not ready for the instructors to be here! I have not even gotten tacked up yet!" Nerves radiate out from her as she hurries back to Iris' stall. The mare picks up on the nerves and is a stompy annoyance, circling in her stall and not letting Skyla get her saddle on. A tiny spark ignites in the Germans eyes and everyone in the barn hears her sharp, "Halt! Benimm dich!" Iris seems to get the memo since her mother barked at her and stands meek as a mouse, letting her get saddled up without any more trouble. |

I competed against his old man more than a few times... actually went te the same university in Scotland. He always made fun of me for lovin' them 'ground dwelling cow horses' as he used to call stock horses.. always loved te see his face when I could whip his ass in a timed jump off with an Appendix". . Once Kaleb arrives and gives him sass he sighs. Knowing full well Donna won't have any tolerance of his cockiness. . "No lad... if I did believe me, I would know about it... and she wouldn't be takin' her talons out of my hide." He sips his coffee with another chuckle. " but anyway lad.. how have you been? Your father still riding out at Edinburgh? Or has he moved his training to that estate farm out by St Andrews?" |
