When I started RP everything I wrote was so short and shit but really the only thing that helps is continuing to try and to RP with other people! I think your character sheets are really good ^^ I've struggled the most with character sheets and I still do, my biggest problem currently is probably sticking by them though, it's so hard for me heh.

But yeah, smaller RP groups tend to do better, large groups easily get messy and then one person doesn't reply for a few days and then when they do you've lost like two or three people during that time and it just slowly dies :/

I've always liked smaller RP groups, and that was deffidentaly the problem with the old one, having way too many people in it. Then one or two people would just never reply and the whole roleplay would fall apart

I always had a hard time making character sheets, but reading other people's character descriptions helped me be able to create my own.

I've had a lot of trouble sticking to my character sheets as well. Sometimes I'll accedentaly go against something it says on accident :')

Same here, and also roleplaying with people who are better than me because if I get a long and detailed character description, I feel bad not trying to match that so then I try harder where as if I go to RP with someone and I get like nothing from them, I just don't make an effort

Hate when that happens xD Or when you come up with the perfect reply but then have to delete it because you realize that my character would never act this way, but I wish they did -_-

For this roleplay I'm trying to challenge myself though! I'm ofcourse going to stick to my character sheets as best as possible but also I usually don't do more than one character because I find it hard to manage sometimes and I also rarely do female characters because I just feel like I suck at them so we'll see how things go

Yeah, I'm like that too. I won't add as much to my replies if someone doesn't make much effort or has bad grammar. I used to RP with someone who had bad grammar and it was really difficult to understand their replies so I wasn't able to come up with too much.

I'm deffidentaly going to challenge myself as well! I want to get better at writing and making 250+ word replies would likely help me a lot! Ill also have to try sticking more to the character sheets. I have it stated in my character sheets that Ollie is more quiet but I never end up writing him that way. I'm pretty good with both male and female characters. I normally have female characters for my personal stories, but then end up male characters for most of my roleplays.

It just doesn't feel worth it if the other person doesn't put in effort.

Then we're both challenging ourselves with this RP :D

Exactly. I think one of the most low effort things I've ever seen though is when you're supposed to be doing a long-term romance RP but the other person's character is immediately in love '-' it takes away the whole point of it being long term

So true! It just ruins the whole plot immediately like what? I have a RP going on currently and it's just now, 20+ pages in, that my character is starting to develop feelings for the other. It just feels more realistic to have it develope over time and not be some "love at first sight" type of situation

That's a lot of pages. I don't normally do forum roleplays, but I've been doing a PM roleplay that's gone on for 3 years. It's a warrior cats to and we've gone through about 6 generations worth of cats XD

Love at first sight can be cute, but not really in a roleplay. Im okay with it in movies, but I enjoy it more in older movies for some reason, stuff like Snow White.

bleh I am sorry for not talking in discussion much but I promise you I am working on the sign ups!! They will be super brief for my new characters because I just don't have the time. Stuff has been way to crazy on my end.

Thats fine, your newer character sheets don't have too be too long, and take as much time as you need to finish them! Its almost Thanksgiving (if y'all celebrate it) and I know we'll all probaly be super busy so no rush :D
