I usually see characters and art on sites like Pinterest, then derrive my characters from that which helps me imagine how they look. Zacharius was heavily based on this prince drawing that I found, and Neveyn's appearance was based on a tv show character |

I think i've heard of that, actually! It like- tests your imagination by seeing if you can see/create an apple in your head, then the tree that holds the apple, then surrounding scenery or something like that |

I also have a problem at visualizing things in my head- Actually, I can't visualize anything in my head. Which is actually why I am good at describing characters, it's weird. Because while I can't see anything about them, I can hear my characters with ease and I have certain things that are just like... Linked with different sounds, so while I can't see them, I can hear them and hear the words that describe them. It's a bit odd but it works.

Ebony Yeah, it's a real pain. I can only see people in my head if I've seen them before. I've never thought about it, but it's kinda surprising I like to read when I just have blurs walking around in my head lol I don't think about the sound of the characters. I would be so indecisive in deciding what they should sound like |

I just tried to do the apple thing, and my apple was a little kid apple and I could barely see it. If you look up apple tree little kid illustration probably going to find something similar to what I visualized. |

That's interesting! Most of how I describe my characters are surprisingly heavily dependent on the name- so I come up with that first. It's weird. I have to say the name in my head a lot, then decide what face goes to that name, what that name might say about something and how the person with that name would speak to those around them, why their family would name them as they are... And I can visualize it all. Is that just me? I see everything in 4k HD, version Human Brain xD Scenes, people, groups of people... everything. I have always had a really active imagination, though- it's why I never watched horror movies :') |

Maybe that's why I can watch scarier stuff and be able to go to sleep still. I just accepted my non visualization as normal lol Ohhh, I should think about why my characters are named what they are. Normally it's I liked the name and then I built their appearance off of the name lol |

I tried the apple thing, I couldn’t even get the color red ;-; I have no visualizing skills. I can’t even do colors. The sound thing I was talking about isn’t really their voice, I can just like hear what they look like instead of see it. I can hear the crunch of an apple, I can hear the redness of an apple, I can hear the sweet juiciness of an apple. But I can’t see the apple. That is what the curse is. It’s weird, it’s very weird. And annoying. - Quite frankly, I come up with the general personality before I come up with anything else. And then I come up with a name based off that personality. And then I slowly go through appearances until I have paragraphs that sound right to me. And then I go back to the general personality and keep working on it until it's good. And then I reuse that character as much as possible to have them engraved in my brain as much as possible. |

I normally vibe my characters from a name. That's so crazy about the visualization differences. I also blame that non ability because I'm not a very observant person. |
