that would make sense. maybe they are sorta large in size, and a literally thick-skinned? maybe they have reptillian qualities as well - no ears, hair, tails, small nostrils, etc.

Maybe! It still varies, though, so some would have different qualities from other, like the being made of fire thing.

yeah yeah i imagine their 'scales' would be like molten rock considering they live in volcanic areas?

Oooh, that would be pretty cool. I think it'd be neat if they had fangs, too, but that could stand for just about any character in this world -- ooh, what if they all had fangs?

I think that could work, actually! They all have fangs for the sake of protecting themselves? Though I would assume they knew how to make weapons and such, maybe it's just another way to differentiate a human from one of these beings?

I'd assume that because all of the magic beings are probably stronger than the average human, they need more natural protection in case they're caught off guard. Just for differentiation works, too, thoufh.

oh yeah, true. I like that idea, though. Maybe even some have claws? I imagine the water people might have claws, or at least absurdly long fingernails

Ooh, water claws. I like that. I feel like Earth would have a thick defense, mostly.

Yeah, I think that too. Maybe like,, they have spikes as branches and they almost function like a porcupine?

Oooh! That sounds super cool. I think some of them would have aspects of different animals, but they'd, for the most part, all have some sort of outside defense.
