A'ight world building. Just gonna jot down some ideas feel free to yay/nay anything and add whatever. I've been digging more into the Irish mythology stuff and thinking that might be fun if you're down with using that as inspiration for the supernatural kingdom.
Human Kingdom
- monarchy
- separated into a couple of smaller kingdoms/regions each known for a specialty eg mining, port/trade city hub, agricultural.
- seat of royalty is ?
- engaged in war with the supernatural kingdom
Supernatural Kingdom
- Species/races? Possibly fae inspired, based around the system of faerie "courts".
- separated into a couple of smaller kingdoms/regions with different races being drawn to different regions depending on preference
- currently ruled by a loosely formed royal family of ???
- engaged in war with the human kingdom
Other things up for discussion:
- Not sure what you think of this but maybe at some point they have a common enemy. Or even like a race to get to some kind of object or place for idk safety?
- War timeline - starting pre-war or during
- Some distant, existential threat that only our characters know of. Maybe they stumble across the traces of an ancient evil rumbling back to life and must then convince their respective kingdoms to arm themselves and prepare for the worst. Maybe the kingdoms just brush it off, dont take them seriously, assume that the threat is ancient history and long gone.

Haven't the slightest clue about Irish mythology but I'm down to go with that and will probably even do my own little research just so I can understand what youre getting at lol. Sounds good with the Human and Supernatural Kingdoms! Should we list out the Kingdoms for each? Or at least the main ones our characters reside in? Sorry had so much inspo for this rp but with my little "break" I forgot everything -_- It'll come back to me though...I hope. |

No worries, glad to see you back! Probably. Wanna do like 2-3 smaller kingdoms per faction to keep it simpler? We can totally branch out more too as we go along, too. Supernatural is easy enough to split into Seelie and Unseelie or seasonal like Summer/Spring and Winter/Autumn. Both are equally chaotic, but Seelie is probably slightly more towards the "good" or at least "neutral" alignment. Regardless, I'd fully expect the human kingdoms to get easily annoyed with their maddeningly chaotic fae neighbors.
Seelie Court
This region is characterized by deep, primeval forests dotted with lochs and streams. Large chunks of forest yield to dense boglands, which are rumored to be home to all manner of mysterious lights often seen after dark. The major cities are Yester and Amarach.
Unseelie Court
Forboding moors and overgrown mounds dominate this region, endless and merciless. Even the locals here find themselves lost from time to time, while foreign travellers seeking a path are next to hopeless. The misty moors do eventually end at sheer, rocky cliffs which fall into the sea. The major cities are Whitestones and Moonshire.
Let's see with the human kingdoms, hm - uh, do you have names in mind already or do you wanna go easy and call them "East ----" and "West ----"? Or do you have something more creative, haha.
I'm thinking I want my dude to be a pooka, a rabbit/horse shapeshifting fae thing. So at least one of the ruling families/nobles/whatever system they use can be comprised of pookas I suppose.
Just slapping the og plot down so I can keep track of stuff:
Character A is of royalty and is a Prince. They are also human. A war breaks out between the supernaturals and humans. The humans think the supernaturals are purely evil and dangerous. They want to wipe out their existence. Character B is a supernatural. So the two are forced to fight. Obviously, the supernaturals are much more powerful and capable of things the humans are not. So somehow, not sure yet, but a romance begins to brew between the two. |

Ok I think I understood the assignment? XD Fantasy name generator coming in clutch. Lol cut Vogari off Kingdom Of Luroth This land is covered in snow. It had thick forrests bordering the other Kingdoms in the land, but comes out to a large stretch of a tundra region. Further west past the Kingdom is a icy land that meets the freezing ocean underneath. Kingdom of Vogari The land is quite the opposite of the harsh weather in Luroth. |

So what else did we wanna cover? We want the kingdoms to be at war, and our starting point what - early on in the war, or before, or later, or what? Mid-way would probably be better, as it would create more tension. |

Yeah, I should start working on mine too haven't started lol. Not sure...So the two human kingdoms and the two supernatural kingdoms should be at war with each other. Maybe it all started over a misunderstanding. A group of humans were slaughters, and the humans assumed it was the supernaturals so they started the war. But they are hard headed and don't really want to listen to the truth. I think we should start early on, like a week or two right after the killing? What do you think? |

I have a couple of sentences worked out on a google doc somewhere, lol. I'll get to work on that and get it polished up today.
Oh, I like that idea! If we set it a few weeks after the initiating event, it would definitely set tensions between the kingdoms high and lead to some awkward confrontations with our characters. Maybe we could have our two investigate later on and discover that the killing is due to some other scary external threat. |

I'll get to it as soon as were ready to start. Lol not me already procrastinating it Oh thats good! That could lead into the whole common enemy and ancient thing awakening, yeah? Wait this was MxM? Just want to make sure I keep track of that kinda stuff. Is there anything else we should go over before diving head first? Lol I'm so excited. Also would it be alright if my character is like a beast master/tamer? Not like mythical or anything, but like predator animals in the area. I was thinking like a polar bear, grizzly bear, arctic wolf, or even like a falcon. Haven't choose one yet. Thought it would make at least my human character a lil interesting and not as weak. I wanted him to have two main strengths which would be combat training and beast tamer. Of course, he's gonna have weaknesses (Pst haven't thought of them lol) just wanted to give him an interesting little aspect. |

Yes to mxm if you're cool with it. I usually write males anyway, but I'm fine with pretty much any pairing. I've planned my character out as a dude so go with what you're comfortable with!
Oh yesss please that sounds like it'll create such an interesting dynamic! Considering that my dude spends half of his time as a pseudo-prey animal, that could lead to a fun first encounter if your character's beast companion bumped into my dude when he's formed into a weird rabbit-looking thing. I'm sure it would definitely catch him by surprise and make him more inclined to talk things out/weasel his way out of an awkward situation. |
