Garvin would honestly probably try to avoid directly talking to Nico when they all show up to convince them. He would use nicknames for Nico still, except, well- He'd be worried that if he budges on any of them then he'll give in and go back and he can't do that because they're just going to end up kicking him out eventually and leaving on his own is easier and better.

No worries though- Bernard, who is totally who I'm using, will be the glue for everyone still there. He's actually, like, pretty mentally stable. So. Big brother Bernard to the rescue!

Decided I'm going to write the Fintan and Garvin Reunion during the Run Clio Run Arc that literally no one wants (except for Midas and Fintan, of course)

Just trying to decide if I should skip over the Reunion and instead focus on the Reunion Reunion. Like. If I should skip over/skim over the Reunion with the sketchy gang/mafia as a whole and just focus on the Fintan and Midas Reunion that follows.

Also, I probably should mention that Garvin not being able to trust the group to not kick him out is basically a one way ticket to Midas going back to Fintan. So even when he eventually gets convinced to go with the group again, it'd just be a matter of time before he ends up at least trying to get back to Fintan because, well- Everyone will eventually kick him out/get rid of him except for Fintan. Midas trusts Fintan to be the one and only exception. So. Uh. Yeah. There's that too.

1110 words into the Reunion and Midas isn't doing too well. Fintan's being shitty, as per usual.

Anyways, uhhh

He’s an age slider, specifically Big/Middle. Usually though, when he fronts, he’s a Middle. And when he is a Big, he never goes over 21.

He’s an internal handler, along with being a sexual protector, gatekeeper, and prosecutor. And if you don’t know what an internal handler is… Basically, the Midas Sidesystem was created on purpose by people outside of the system, most specifically Fintan, and Midas is basically the King of the Sidesystem. The alters/fragments in the Sidesystem are like his subjects, and people like Fintan are the overarching pantheon.

If the above is making you think of the King Midas of Greek Mythology. Good. Programming usually follows a script. For Midas, that’s that myth. Only, with some minor key differences. Such as River Styx being a very bad thing. We don’t want to trigger River Styx.

Along with the regular triggers to get Midas at least close to front, mentions of the myth also work. This is important for the Run Clio Run Arc.

As mentioned, the biggest reason July happens isn’t because of the whole ‘Reminder of being worthless’ thing. Only Midas knows what it actually is, and it’s a suicide program triggered by July for if the system ever left. As long as they don’t return to Fintan, July’s going to happen. Or until the system goes through deprogramming which is a whole other issue/thing. Anyways. Once he’s a protector, July gets a lot easier, don’t worry.

Speaking of! July eventually turns into more of a reorganization period for the system for if anything happened that year. It even already kind of works as one, as you’ll see through the passings of the Andi Arc, Recovery Arc, and July Arc. Once Midas is a protector, July is basically only used as a reorganization period for the system for if anything happened that year. If nothing happened, then it’s maybe a slight dip in mood if anything at all.

Midas has the strongest return programming out of the Midas Sidesystem. He also is the only one in the system as a whole with access to/that has reset programming. (Which is partly what River Styx is. Other parts of River Styx include suicide programming and silence/hush programming.)
