Briar, after having known Aries for a while, realizing their feelings and becoming hopeful: “Can we become we, no longer known as just you and me? Two separate lives now in unity?”
Briar, acknowledging the fact that neither of their situations are great and, while they agree with the rebellion, they kinda ended up here as a way to escape the gang, and Aries is here because of the arena: “Stuck here together…”
Briar, becoming slightly anxious, wondering if Aries is only around them because he has to be: “But will this always be just an arrangement?”
Aries, recognizing his own feelings with confusion, acknowledging them but remaining timid and unsure since he believes he shouldn’t feel anything like this ever: “Could we become more than half of a union we're chosen for?”
Aries, hesitantly becoming more optimistic over time: “Where I am your best half and I am yours?”
Aries, falling back into anxiety after remembering the arena: “Stuck here forever, hopefully not ending in estrangement…”

Aries, still in disbelief, but trying to believe what Briar says: “Start a new line in this life story?”
Briar, simply ecstatic that Aries is being more open with them, being very obvious about their affection toward him: “Two hearts connected by one beat!”
Aries, initiating affection for the first time, timid,but more hopeful: “Your hand in mine…?”
Briar, fucking melting at the gesture, returning it happily (also, with this line, I’m going to say it’s more Briar just affirming how much they love Aries, not literally saying he’s the only partner they’ll ever love/want, ‘cause, you know, poly, lmao): “I could never choose to love another.”
Aries, watching how Briar reacts and beginning to really relax, still not fully believing he can give Briar what they need, or that he deserves them, but at least letting himself feel the affection and recognize that it is real and Briar really does care, and maybe that counts for something: “Maybe one day I can learn to love you, too…”
