Basically, the poorer you go, the less futuristic and the richer you go, the more futuristic, but overall the architecture and stuff still tends to be at least a bit medieval. And yes, there are powers in this world, people are born with them and can sometimes have several.

Anyways- Everyone has a visor that allows the government to basically know everything about the person and spy on them. Only the rich are able to buy ones that don't do that. (I have so much more information about these visors if you want it but yeah)

Just about the only other thing I know about this RP idea so fair is that there's a rebellion going on.

-

Visors keep people focused on their jobs and also serves as a way for people to evaluate each other and see what rank they are in society by a color and use/abuse/do whatever with them if they are the lowest rank or the opposite if they are of a higher rank. So to reinstate rich people do still have to have the visors, they can just have ones that don't spy on them.

Anyways, usually visors let people do certain things that help with their jobs. Like a medic's visor might point out someone's injuries and what treatment is needed.

Not having a visor and being of a lower rank can lead to being arrested, so those in the rebellion smash theirs and create their own. Higher ranked people don't tend to be arrested immediately.

Visors can also turn off the spying system in other visors as long as that visors' rank is lower.

-

Rebellion has to work with the arena and that’s why Aries is there.

-

Rebellion has to work with Briar’s gang, very loose.

-

Rebellion has to work with Gorōta’s gang, also very loose.

-

I feel like Irfam and Revan are both already in the group, just very much different sides of it. Like, Revan's keeping things from getting out to the public and Irfam's over here just doing his job but for the rebellion too now. Making weapons (some of mass destruction).

I'm not sure how everyone would've joined the rebellion other than those two though. Especially people like Adbrei or Gorōta.

Garvin's pretty easy, if you offer him food then he's bound to show up. Aries would've joined due to the arena getting involved. And Mergen... Not sure about them yet either. But they'll probably be easier to figure something out for than Adbrei or Gorōta.

-

Akira's been against the government forever because of the home situation, so joining an actual rebellion was a no-brainer (plus, they've got food, so-), I'd say they're already in it. Nico would be relatively easy to get in too, they've been on the not-great side of society since they were born, and Adiar's probably all for it, so, if nothing else, they probably just followed their toxic boyfriend in

Sol... Probably followed Kano? Maybe?

I mean, he's honestly kind of a wild card at this point in time, so they're probably not even really aware of what the fuck he's actually getting into. Poor guy's completely scattered, lmao

Karma and Kostas are easy. Karma says fuck the government and Kos follows because 1, yeah, fuck the government, and, 2, if he doesn't follow, Karma's just gonna die somehow, so-

Ingall's the only one who's harder to gauge. In all honesty, he'd probably join just for the sake of Maya's memory, a kind of mini revenge on everyone who fucked her over in life. Oh, and, actually, the rebellion is probably a good hide-out spot to get away from Amar, so, there's that.

-

Revan joined due to Monta, and has stayed even as his life got even worse. He probably works with Promachus a bit to keep the rebellion under the radar. Not to mention the information he can get as a higher member of society.

Irfam and Alvis probably joined a long time ago, but after The Collapse, well, I mean- Alvis was dead and Irfam was not doing well at all. If I had to guess, he didn't show up for a while again but eventually did at around the same time he started to try and work on AI Child again. That being said, very much wasn't consistent with it until Promachus joined too and then Promachus was able to keep him coming a bit more consistently. Of course, at this point, he's very much unstable, so... There's that.

I can totally see Mergen and Garvin joining together, not sure which would be first though. Garvin probably heard about the rebellion first and ended up telling Mergen about it, since those two knowing each other kind of makes sense, and then Mergen basically said that they might as well check it out because why not and then they ended up staying.

Adbrei... Man, I've got no idea.

Gorōta probably joined because of his group. There's a few of them that totally would've joined and tried to get Gorōta to join too. Like Daiji, who probably would've brought both Hanu and Gorōta to try and stop some of the abuse going on in the group.

-

I feel like with some having joined already and some not having joined yet is probably a good place just so it's a bit easier

I want to figure out the base of operations for the rebellion first, whether or not members are allowed to just stay at the base or not, and just what all the rebellion is about. If I get all that stuff figured out then figuring out the rest is pretty easy, I think

-

I think that it might be easier if members had the option to stay at the base or not, that way we have more time for character interaction

As for what the rebellion is actually about, um, well, I'm not sure, I'm assuming it's something with the visors and not wanting the government to have that much control, but I'm not really sure about specifics

--

And that is all we have so far!

Amazing!
So, is there a main ruler? Like a president or king or something, or is it more of a general, large government thing? If there's one particular person in charge then the rebellion could be aiming specifically to get rid of them. Maybe they're trying to figure out a way to get to the government's main building/base (like a White House-type thing) and get rid of said person, or maybe steal something of great importance?
Do the visors have a specific link, maybe? A place where all the information for each one is kept that could be destroyed, tampered with, or taken?

Hmm-
I was honestly thinking the government was ruled by like a king or queen and their advisors/generals/something. But ultimately the king/queen. So aiming to get rid of the ruler might work or stealing something of importance could also work. Not sure what the something of importance would be though. Any ideas?
-
As for if the visors have a specific link or not? I think they would. Probably something that one of the advisors/generals are specifically in charge of controlling/watching and whatnot.

Cool, I was thinking that maybe the rebellion could aim for the visor's specific link then. That way they could kinda destroy everything at once, and, from there, work to take over the government more fully? Something along those lines

What do you think about the base? Like- Where should it be located? What should it be like? I'm bad at coming up with that stuff haha-

Ummm, well, is there a specific kingdom that you were thinking of, or a city or something? I'd say it's either directly under the government's noses (situated somewhere in the kingdom/city and hidden in plain sight kinda thing) or somewhere out of the kingdom/city limits, perhaps set up in the forest or somewhere else more covered. It'd have to be relatively large either way, but if we're going with at least some people living there, then I'd say there's probably a floor (perhaps a basement level or something) that's all small rooms for people to stay in (we could do 2 or 3 people per room also if we wanted), and we'd need a chow hall building and kitchen. Perhaps also some gardens and stuff for fresh food.
So, we could do a three-story (well, kinda, with one level being basement level, I guess it's kind of a two-story) building with offices, rooms, and common areas, then a chow hall that's either a part of that building or its own and another building that's more where planning and building goes on and probably also has an armory or something. And then some gardens that are off to the side.
Everything would have to be relatively large for a lot of people, but I'd say that's the basic stuff we need anyway.

Also, I thought up this, so, I know it's not the Nico song you asked for (I swear I'm working on that, lmao), but I think this could work for the majority of the group, so enjoy!
-

Song: Piano Man by Billy Joel

Characters:

Nico (piano man), Garvin, Akira, Briar, Ingall, Irfam, Mergen, Revan, and Sol

Context:

Just generally how Nico views everyone (well, not everyone, just those who I thought best suited the song, lmao), and how he reacts to them.

I feel like Nico will be the one going around trying to make sure everyone feels happy, and, a lot of the time, he's rather good at it. At least, temporarily. Basically, this song just shows how much Nico is trying to help everyone while simultaneously seeing just how much everyone is struggling.

Enjoy!

-

(We start at the beginning of the day, everyone's waking up and making their way to the common space(?) to eat or get the plans for the day. Nico greets everyone as enthusiastically as usual)

Nico: "It's nine o'clock on a Saturday, the regular crowd shuffles in. Irfam's here sittin' next to me, makin' love to his tonic and gin. He says,"

Irfam: "Hey, can ya play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes, but it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete when I wore a younger man's clothes."

Briar, coming up and throwing an arm around Nico's shoulders: "Sing us a song, you're the piano man! Sing us a song tonight!"

Mergen, joining in: "Well, we're all in the mood for a melody, and you've got us feelin' alright."

(Slight timeline shift. It's a bit later in the day, and everyone's coming in for the evening meal, everyone's tired and the day was a rather rough one, so spirits are a bit down)

Nico, sitting down with most of the group and watching carefully: "Now Briar at the bar is a friend of mine, they gets me my drinks for free, and they're quick with a joke, or to light up your smoke, but there's someplace that they'd rather be. They say,"

Briar, tiredly leaning on the table and avoiding eye contact: "Nico, I believe this is killing me," As a smile ran away from their face, "Well, I'm sure that we could be happier if we could get out of this place."

Nico, nodding as Briar turns to talk to Aries, scanning the rest of the room and taking in everyone else: "Now Ingall is a hard worker who's far too scared for any friends, and he's talkin' with Revan, who's still in the family company and probably will be for life."

Nico, looking to the other side of the room: "And Akira is practicing "politics" while Garvin slowly gets stoned. Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness, but it's better than drinkin' alone!"

Garvin, approaching and smiling lazily: "Sing us the song, you're the piano man!"

Akira, joining and nudging Garvin playfully: "Sing us a song tonight!"

Sol, speaking up shyly: "Well, we're all in the mood for a melody."

Briar, smiling faintly and watching their friend: "And you've got us feelin' alright."

Nico, looking questioningly toward the rebellion leader who smiles and nods encouragingly: "It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday, and the manager gives me a smile. 'Cause he knows that it's me they've been comin' to see to forget about life for a while."

Nico, grinning and setting up to perform, happy to make everyone else feel a tiny bit better if possible: "And the piano, it sounds like a carnival, and the microphone smells like a beer, and they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar, and say,"

Garvin, smiling shaking his head sadly: "Man, what are you doin' here?"

Nico, singing and happily getting sucked into the music, still half-aware of the people surrounding him: "Oh, la, la-la, di-di-da
La-la di-di-da da-dum!"

Nico, recounting what she's been told through his music: "Sing us the song, you're the piano man! Sing us a song tonight! Well, we're all in the mood for a melody, and you've got us feelin' alright!"

Not really- I was just thinking a stereotypical kingdom/city thing where the further in you go, the better/richer/more futuristic it gets and the further out you go, the worse/poorer/less futuristic it gets.
I feel like there's pros and cons of both choices. If it's in plain sight then it could be less suspicious and there's more places for interactions, but it can be larger and all if it's outside of limits and all.

The song lyric thing is great, by the way. I loved it.

Umm, let's do This Is Home :)

Also, I think the base being in plain sight might be better, especially if we have some characters who won't live there, that way there's more room for interaction
